I love Ned and his family, but...acupunture is not alternative medicine :))) it is one branch of Eastern medicine for thousand of years. They do cure diseases that are not germ related very well. And in 2003, doctors ( western education ) in South Korea found out the meridian system in the bodies of little animals, they called it the channel of life.

For those wondering if Acupuncture does anything. It is widely believed that Acupuncture isnt about energy or chi it's about stimulating the central nervous system ( hence them feeling a poking sensation other than where it happened). this stimulates the brain to release certain chemicals through the spine and nervous system. These chemicals are believed to begin the bodies natural healing properties.
So can it actually work as medicine or is it more of a placebo?
@@datguy5272 depending on who you go to yes it can. it’s a similar thing to physical therapy, you need a good acupuncturist and it’s always a risk but because it’s based on muscle structure and pressure points it’s usually not entirely placebo.
@@datguy5272 I actually get acupuncture. I have chronic pain and I go to acupuncture every week. I’ve noticed it does do A LOT that my daily medication can’t do. Sometimes my medicine doesn’t do barely anything while I go to acupuncture and the minute I’m done I have little to no pain afterwards. And for the rest of the week I feel better than I did before acupuncture.
@@yay-depression I am in acu school now. Needles stimulates your sensory neurons and the risk is very minimal. If you have proper training, the risk is extremely low. My program is 4-5 years (doctorates degree) so you get a whole lot of training. My school requires vast knowledge in both eastern and western medicine.

Francisco Rodriguez as a kid I had some of the worst growing pains. It was at my hips and knees. I got acupuncture with an amazing older man and he was the sweetest. He talked about how western medicine always dismisses muscles. He start treating me and would push around my areas of pain. It helped so much I can even.
The video editing is golden. I laughed so hard watching it switch between Eugene stressing out/ intense music and the others laying calmly/ nature sounds
I like that the rest of the try guys are talking about how calming it is and then Eugene is like screaming different Asian countries and cities

The interesting thing to me about most traditional Asian medicine, is that it unintentionally achieves a legitimately studied effect. The current understanding of acupuncture is that it basically involves stimulating large nerve clusters, which helps to stimulate and either loosen or contract nearby muscle groups. This is what creates the feeling of flowing currents.
