A quick question, I hope you could answer me: does a replacement radio has to go to the lower part of the dashboard? Are there radios which could replace that screen on top of the dashboard or is it just a screen for the radio and the radio itself is really lower? I'm asking this since I want to replace a radio in my Yaris 2001 with a model with big screen so I can use a GPS navigation built in, rather than on my phone stuck to the window.
Great explanation. ..any idea how to get a front load CD out from the type 3 stock radio that comes with the 02 Echo - after removing all the panels? It just stopped turning on one day and library CD is still inside!
i want to replace the after market car stereo in my gf 2001 echo with another aftermarket stereo that has bluetooth will it be a simple swap with same connections ?

I have a 2003 echo.. the fuse for the radio is blown. Can you tell me what fuse to replace? I don't have a manual.
