I’m silly enough to be that guy who’s trying to reinstall the Bose gold in my 92. There have been 30 years of aftermarket stereos install, multiple slices, tie-offs tap-ins and other things. The dash end of the extension harness is missing but I do have the ends from the cdm side. I was hoping to splice together my own extension but the colours don’t match and there are actually less wires on the cdm side. I’m lost. Any guidance on which wires to match up? I have pics if it helps. I’ve loved your videos on the Bose gold. Very informative. But I’m stumped
I have a 1993 Corvette Coupe base with Bose system. I swear that the front driver's speaker is much lower than the front passenger's speaker. I've had both front speaker amps' capacitors replaced recently to no avail, and then I swapped the front speakers temporarily to see if the lower volume would move the to passenger's side.....it didn't. So, is it possible that the CDM is sending the driver front speaker a lower signal than it sends to the passenger front speaker? On the CDM, can you swap the speaker harnesses (e.g., left harness goes into right port on CDM and visa versa) for testing purposes or are the connectors designed so they can only go in the proper connection port. I would go check it myself , my car is getting repaired from a very minor incident so I won't have it back until next week. Thank you.
Hey! My green wire, third, is not reading 12 volts on my 1994 C4. Do you recommend just replacing CDM? I would love to actually fix my own CDM, and have basic sottering skills. Is there a common fix that you know of? Like a spot on the CDM that frequently goes bad? I took it apart and could find nothing that looked suspicious.
Hi, I have a 90 corvette with the gold bose system and I'd like to add an aux input and or bluetooth module, Can I use the 4th connector on the cdm to do it?
If it's a CDM system, most likely the CDM is culprit. Capacitors leak and corrode copper runs on the PCB. I used to repair these for years. Lots of Delco factory repairs.
The stereo in my 1990 is still going strong ever since you went through it about 8 yrs ago !
I like when a plan comes together!

My symptoms are exactly as you said, no speaker output and no power antenna.
