Well on this channel he points out so many things that it eventually becomes reaching. Like when the narrator said “his foot twitching indicates lying” when a foot twitching could be adderall, not enough sleep, too much caffeine but it has to be lying. While it COULD be lying there is no definitive evidence indicating that it is. Correlation does not indicate causation.

Chat needs to understand that these signs of lying are not being done by the suspect purposely, it's all subconscious. That's the whole point of the analyzing from the narrator, he's not overanalyzing at all.

Psychology is totally bunk. There is no way to experiment and conclude objectively that shaking your foot, sucking in your lips, putting your leg up, is an indication of literally anything. Its all made up hocus pocus, no more meaningful than astrology. You can make it say whatever you want. Like I'm pretty sure I've heard the exact opposite explanation before about the "what do you think the punishment should be" question, "giving a detailed answer is an indication that the suspect is lying because they're trying to paint themselves as someone who could never do the crime." See? Make it say whatever you want. Complete and utter nonsense.

People who pretend like psychology isn't real are people who don't want there to be an explanation for why they think the Earth is flat and the moon landing was fake because if there's an explanation, they might have to admit that something is wrong - that _they're_ wrong - and they can't do that.

even a licensed psych cannot diagnose with only some video clips. they need to meet the subject in person and ask questions.

@Hydra sure, but as a detective, ignoring things like body language is just shooting yourself in the foot. Obviously it's not hard evidence as to who committed the crime, but when you have multiple suspects to go through and don't have half the info this detective does you really need to take any possible hints you can to narrow it down...

yeah idk why chat was saying using "found her" instead of "found her body" or what would've been actually been reported on the news, and they dont say they just "found a body" they go into pretty harsh detail unless the feds tell them otherwise. I never heard of the reid technique but I have personally done 'the punishment question' with my son when he was younger. When he had broken a rule multiple times, I sat with him in his room and asked him to pretend he was the parent and I was the kid and I just broke a house rule. I even swapped seats and let him sit on the desk chair while I sat on the bean bag. He fell into a false sense of security thinking he's gonna be able to control where this was going so he responded with "I would have a talk with you about not breaking any rules". I responded with "ok, great, and now I just broke the rule again. what do you do?" He says "Um...I would sit down with you and have a firm talk some more about the rules." I say "fine, I don't care, I'm breaking it *again"* He then starts to become flustered because he now knows about the trap he is falling into, so he responds with "ok, well then I get your mother to als-" I interrupt with "oh I'm definitely breaking that rule again. In fact, now I'm going to break all the rules because I don't care what you have to say about any of them". He *finally* accepts defeat and lowers his head saying "I would ground you from all your stuff." I then stand up and say "ok... that sounds fair.....for *THIS* time" then told him I love him and leave the room. 😎

I don't really mind the narrator, it just comes off he's Priming information based solely on hindsight. It would be overall more pleasing for the audience to leave it up to some speculation type analysis.
