  • You have way more control over your eating than you think. Just take a few steps back and think for yourself.

    thank you for sharing this! hearing your perspective is so refreshing amidst all the bullshit swirling around out there. as someone who struggled with anorexia/orthorexia for over half of my life, and tried every single diet i became aware of on the quest for the one that was *perfect* and would resolve all my qualms… i eventually came to the conclusion that nobody else could come up with what was right for me. and that truly the only thing that does work sustainably is 1) starting with a foundation of healthy, unprocessed foods, and 2) being present with my food and noticing how i feel before/during/after eating. and 3) giving myself the space to deviate - allowing myself to have that “not so healthy” thing but again… in moderation. there’s nothing i’m not “allowed” to have, which ultimately gives me all the freedom in the world… and also tends to eliminate the great temptation of having what is forbidden.

      Exactly. Fear no food. Eat on your terms as a freethinking, but present, individual.

    3:55 FWiW I practiced Sufism for some years and Ramadan is most certainly a fast. One that you break when the sun is down.

    Those birds had some really strong opinions.
    I have been veggie for a while now also and I have noticed that I now seem to be better able to pick up on what my body is telling me it needs. If I have been eating alot of junk I will get a craving for broccoli, which my younger self would have heartily laughed at. I don't think this is just a vegetarian thing but more about giving the time and attention to the eating process. Modern life speeds people up too much even with good intentions it can be hard to make good choices.

      If we're open to it, the body will communicate with us. Too often we choose to block the dialog.

    I notice you didn’t mention anything about macros. What’s a good mixture of balance/moderation? And are they safe to mix with micros? (Asking for a friend of course.)

    • @Bodytribechip
      @Bodytribechip  Рік тому +1

      NO! Never mix macros with micros. That forms meecrows and those are toxic.
