I’ve never seen any guitarist give up and walk off stage defeated due to a broken string. Never know that was such a common thing, I must be lucky to only have witnessed the 1% that just deals with it.

I saw Steely Dan in Hartford Connecticut and the keyboard broke down. The Roadies switched out the keyboard as the band continued playing the Rhythm it was amazing how well it was done and quickly , also it was VERY entertaining !!!
I like to believe that! 🤓 I also saw Steely Dan live once... I think that was in 2000, but technically everything went perfectly ("unfortunately"🤪)! Fantastic music from Donald, Walter & Co.!!! 👍🏼

I learned this back when I was a youngster gigging playing semi acoustic in a cover band. Keys, light drums, me and a bassist. We tripped the decibel limiter at a wedding venue and our power cut mid song. Drummer and I caught eyes and just didn't skip a beat. I kept singing and playing and so did he and I swear noone noticed anything went wrong.
