Hey, thank you very much for your nice comment! 😀 Yes, I love non cut away acoustic guitars. I recorded the video on my 2002 Maton EBG808. With guitars strings 012-053, it was quite a challenge! 😅 I also recorded the video not only as a one take, but even as a first take. 💪🏼😊 For this I first recorded the accompaniment for the first part of the song and recorded it on my Loop Station Boss RC-1. I just played the harmonies as guitar chords and a kind of bass line on the acoustic guitar as an overdub. In order to seamlessly record the large live loop with all the percussion instruments and so on, I had to delete the recording of the accompaniment for the first part in the middle of the song. With the Boss RC-1 Loop Station it's no different. So the video simply had to work on the very first try. 🤗 Kind regards and... please have also a look on my "Samba Pa Ti" Video from 1991 I posted 6 month ago, Andreas 🙋🏽‍♂️

Hey, thanks for the compliment! 😎 I didn't play the song in the original key, but rather a little lower. In the original key by David Crosby and Phil Collins, the song doesn't suit me so well, because I can't sing that high. But I don't play according to notes. And so at the moment I can't tell you the original key or the key in which I played it. 😅

Hey, ich habe mich wirklich sehr über deinen netten Kommentar hier gefreut! 😃 Ja, Carlos Santana gastierte mit seiner Band im April 1987 im Palast der Republik im ehemaligen Ost Berlin. Ich war damals noch nicht mal 16 Jahre alt und habe das ganze als Musik interessierter Jugendlicher lediglich im DDR Fernsehen schauen können. Das Konzert konnte ich mir zumindest mit einem alten Dioden-Kabel direkt vom TV auf meinen Kassettenrekorder überspielen und aufnehmen und so konnte ich schließlich meiner Begeisterung nachgehen und übte wie ein Besessener nach diesen alten Kassetten-Aufnahmen. Circa ein Jahr später konnte ich deshalb den Song zum aller ersten Mal live vor Publikum beim "Fest junger Künstler" in der Aula meiner Schule zum Besten geben. Leider existierte davon keine Aufnahme (zumindest ist mir das nicht bekannt), aber auf meinem UA-cam Kanal findest du unter anderem auch ein Video aus dem Jahre 1991, als ich "Samba Pa Ti" auf der E-Gitarre zusammen mit meiner ersten Band spielte.
