I trapped for Delta waterfowl for a number of years. Removing nest predators. They would monitor nests on the trapped sites and non trapped sites. It made a world of difference. Trapping saves a lot of birds. We would start mid March and trap till July 15. Good luck.
Awesome video brother. That got me do eager for trapping season to get here. Glad you taking out sone of the best robbers there. They are terrible here. God bless Luke. Thank for the bonus video.
@@nextgentrapper1000 that it is. I do adc work year round and every animal is complete different from how they act in the winter. Summer beaver will give ya premature grey hair
Nice job. Where I am we can take raccoons out of the hunting or trapping season if doing or about to do damage. Landowner requested I start taking raccoons due to crop damage and seeing less turkeys also.. taken around 30 off the farm so far this year. Been slow the last 2 weekends so I think I have to wait for new ones to move in.
I know alot of people wouldnt argee with summer time trapping.but i think a fella needs to do some to help with numbers just like you said. We do alittle on are place. They are everywhere. but on the other hand i dont like seeing them go to waste but there is a time were you have to do something. Turkeys are for sure suffering. Good video.
Thanks bud! Our turkey numbers r down drastically from where they used to be on our farm. Gotta thin out some nest raiders and they destroy our corn as well
Mulberry trees are coon magnets. Shot 4 in less than 30 seconds doing damage control for my neighbor. Stealing corn from his bins. Got 7 already in cagetraps with tons more on cell cam. One has mange even that I'm trying to catch. A coon killed 6 of my ducks and 8 of my chickens and 14 of my brothers hens in 1 night. Too many coons running around
I don't think you understand the point of the state opening up a summer season. That generally means there are way too many, over populated. Look up what kind of horrible painful life animals have in overpopulated areas.
Good to see your working on the nest raiders 👍

Very cool brother! Keep thinning them out and saving some turkeys! Good luck with everything my friend!
Thanks buddy

Pretty awesome nailing the nest raiders
They started that in Mo. In August I trap a bunch of deer feeders for guys, in March I hit em again for the turkey nests. Fun way to trap
It’s a different element to trap for sure! I always find trapping different times of year to be a fun thing to learn

I caught 41 just around my yard during that new summer season in about a 2 acre area. They were thick!
Excellent! More trapping! Got me a woodchuck yesterday. #3 for the year.
Nice man!

Could be that or the full moon messing with movement recently. Good luck!
Good job next gen keep at it
I’m brand new at this. Is it hard to remove those traps with the eagle claws?
Popped one last night harassing my chickens

Agreed! Population is way out of control
You should post a video of getting all your carp for bait this season.
I’ll do a carp fishin video before summer is over
Pls show dispatch
I hope you let them go and not kill them!

is it legal to take skullls and or penis bones from your open coon season if you can it would bring a little bit of money atleast
From what I was told by the DNR is anything can be harvested off of the raccoon
@@nextgentrapper1000 might as well keep what you can
