Thanks for the video it's a great tool to find items that will work in both directions for those of us that don't run an M3. I am currently working to get my sedan swapped over to a manual trans and upgrade to the 3.0 from the 2.5 since there are so many more options for the 3.0. So a video on the internals for the 3.0 would be a great idea.

what are the options for a 3.0? I got a 2.5 recently for a good price with 90k miles that I wanted to put in my 250k+ 2.5, worth getting 3.0?

I’d build the m54. Swapping to another engine is super expensive
Are there aftermarket well performance torque converters? Would it be worth it? Also i only have a 03 325xi
The m54b2.5.. wish was 3.0 but it is what it is an i want to have fun with it it is 5speed.. i invested alot of money in it so i am happily stuck wit it.. but i want low an mid power.. more torque than ne thing also want it to have a subaru sound added to the sound of this engine so there isnt unequal length headers.. sooo what if lol i put a header on an also left the other manifold stock? It would hopefully create the unequal sound? Not worried about gains from that really also that is more of top end gain.. so dont care much for that.. i cant afford turbo/s.charger.. an not big on nos.. i jus want fun quick comfy daily driver!! What ur thoughts on the header one side an a stick manifold also?? Also im in p.a soo we have emisions.. so ill have to rig a cat to a header.. even tho it aint bin inspected since 2021.. lol sad face..

i really want to boost my car and keep it as stock as posible even if i run 0,4 boost (because is my daily use car), can i turbo or supercharge it with such low boost fully stock and be some sort of safemode?

I heard the aluminum thermostats leak sometimes, what about the mechanical one from csf?
The aluminum housing leaks? Haven’t heard anything about that before. Are you talking mechanical as in no heating element?
@@TenzaMotorsports ecs offers a mechanical thermostat conversion for $300. I read a bunch of forums saying the aluminum sucks
I heard with vented catch cans, there is a strong oil smell in the cabin?
Depends where you put it in the engine by.

Just a question, why not delete disa valve before boosting? Isnt a red flag? Because we all know if it breaks what is going to happen into the engine
Physically, yes you should block it off. We have them unplugged and tuned out. We are changing over to m50 intakes, the cost of blocking off the disa, we are putting towards the swap!
