This was a great video, I’ve read a lot about the Air Force Academy and think it would be something awesome to do with my life. My dream is to work in the Air Force and become an officer. Get a good education and one day possibly work for NASA. I’m 14 and was wondering what classes for high school would you might recommend for a younger person to help develop some skills that would be good for possibly enrolling and going to school there. I understand that it seems that only a small percentage get accepted and have the opportunity to learn here. But I 100% willing to put in the hard work and try.
Hey! Im also 14 here with the same goals. I would recommend getting into JROTC IF your school has it. Regardless of what branch it is for it is really helpful in developing military skills and develops personallity and leadership skills. If your school doesn't have it then ignore this lol. But some classes that would be good are computer science classes and try to take as much advanced classes as you can and obviously try to aim for straight A'S (GPA of 3.8 or above). Be sure to join sport teams as you need to have some atheltic background to get into USAFA. And thats really all Im doing and aiming for and what I would recommend from all the research Ive conducted. Best luck and hope to possibly meet you one day at USAFA!

So you need a 3.88 gpa for the Air Force academy do they just look at senior year high school gpa or they take an average gpa of the 4 years of highscool
So the GPA is average across your entire time in school. However, the academy looks at all 4 years so make sure not to slack as a senior (: Also the 3.88 is a medium and by means is it a requirement. There have been plenty of people admitted with lower!
Hi! I'm a high school junior (finishing the year) interested in applying to the academy, but I'm confused about how many recommendation letters I need ask for. There are so many required between the actual admissions and nomination ones - Did you reuse the same letters for all your congressmen? And did you use the same recommendation letters from nomination when you applied to the academy?
For reference, I ended up asking teachers to write 2 letters but said they could just switch who it was addressed to since the point of the letter was pretty much the same thing (for both school and different congressmen). I was appointed to the Class of 2028 in January :)
