I just got my G.C. license a couple months ago and have watched well over 300 hours of videos pertaining to the industry just trying to figure out what the fu... As informative as some of them have been I have never commented. This is by far the most useful video I have watched. I have printed post cards and left them on doorsteps and such but have not knocked on doors. Your words are exactly what I needed to hear. I will be knocking on doors very soon. Thank you for taking the time to put this video out. Best of luck.
Friendly tip! I have been knocking on for 50 years now, and still doing it. TGG Inventor of the Richard 2 1/2 Gooseneck flexible paint brush extension. Professional/expert painter in Canada. A must have . Cheers!
I started painting after getting done wrong by a contractor. Stolen car so I was walking door to door doing cheap jobs to keep food on my family's plate. Slowly working my way up can't wait to turn the leaf and take off. Failures not an option
Friendly tip! Really enjoyed your video. I am a self taught Professional expert/painter and decorator in Canada. I agree door to door. Been doing this for 50 years! I am also offering painting consultation. Best bang for your buck is go out in the field with your consultant. See how it's done in front of your own eyes. You need to spend money to make money! Inventor of the Richard 2 1/2 gooseneck paint brush. TGG Cheers!
Hi and thank you for the great video! FYI though, it looks like the link provided to determine if your state requires licensing is not up to date. I live in Michigan and although the state no longer requires licensing, the link claims it does.
I know someone that had there house painted inside an they where moving things to paint 🎨 an they messed up a 80" TV 📺 they had to pay for it they dropped it an it broke 2,200$ they didn't make anything on the job
That stinks. I plan 2% of revenue to be gone to problems like this. I would say about 1 out of 200 jobs something goes wrong. I am sorry you friend ended up hitting that 1 out of 200 at the beginning.
I’m only a minute in and see that you’ve put in more work to educate than most!

If a contractor stole your car then I bet he had a good reason. Either that or your English sucks.
Did you start a business yet? And if so how did you promote your business?
Chuch!
