I’m 7 minutes in and on rule 3 and you are saying all the things I’ve been telling my customers and girlfriend. I’m new to your channel and subscribed only after 7 minutes. Great job. I have learned all the first 3 things anyway from years or experience and being self taught and being constant thinker, I’ve finally started to figure this all out over last few years.

I don’t know about reaching out to past clients. If somebody came and painted my house and then eight months later sent me an email “checking in” Unless I didn’t mention needing future work it would instantly make me not like them.
I’ve worked in sales, I’ve worked in insurance, I know what this is. This is you trying to get more money out of me. At least that’s the way it makes me feel.

The points you've outlined regarding rich painters versus poor painters highlight some crucial principles that can apply to various businesses, including painting and decorating. Here's a summary of the key takeaways and some suggestions for your business:
Rich Painters vs. Poor Painters: Key Takeaways
Time Management and Calendar Usage: Rich painters are proactive with their time and use their calendars as shields to protect dedicated blocks of time for important tasks. They prioritize activities that can drive long-term business growth. In contrast, poor painters tend to be reactive, spending most of their time on urgent but less important tasks.
Focus on Important but Not Urgent Tasks: Rich painters allocate time to important but not immediately urgent tasks that have a long-term impact on their business. Poor painters get caught up in urgent but less critical activities, such as constant communication, paperwork, and firefighting.

I'm a painter too. I've been in business 6 years i don't go with the going rate.i Go by the job, there's a lot more involved than just the painting of the house. It's about the experience, knowledge and.
knowing that you are trustworthy and you're not gonna come back and rip them off. Also Dress respectful

The problem with this guy is that he speaks from a business owner perspective. You are correct that house painting for on-hand painters is a 25k a year operation. Worst trade in the history of the entire human race.

House painters working for companies don’t make much money at all. Managers and Business owners are the ones getting all the money. I assume this person uses a wholesale painting strategy. Pay workers as low as you can, keep as much money as you can. The people who are actually doing the job are making $16/20 hour with rare exceptions (independently of the skill level) I would suggest everyone to learn another trade and skip house painting. There is nothing good in being a house painter.
