honestly I take so damn good care of my Nissan Sentra SR 2017 it's basically like new & I park far as away as I can lol wash it constantly with winter & bought my beauty from U.S MN and long story short moved to Canada Met my wife she lives here any who this car drove so well back and fourth from MN to Canada border & back to MN & back to Canada it's such a great car As long as you take care of it this car for sure will last you a long time. winter snow is sure different here in Canada then in MN but she drives perfectly put them winter tires on & she walks in it like nothing. & yes I worry if someone parks to close or might scratch it. but I do that with all my cars lol but definitely a good car! the transmission is good you got to remember it's not a racing track car it drives well goes fast well but I enjoy driving it there are times where in highways ill rev it up a little in sport mode & have little fun with it but definitely a good car to drive as long as you keep up with it's maintenance and keeping up with oil changes and transmission fluid changes when it needs it. car will last you a long time. like any car just got to take care of it. also people worry about the CVT, cause there are people who ruin them transmission you see all the time on youtube cvts are bad this and that people ain't taking care of the car they either putting pedal to the metal all the time doing donuts or doing stupid stuff & your cvt gonna last less and die quicker. this is my first time owning a CVT and I bought this car back in Aug 29, 2021 and have it till this day & I'm the 2nd owner of my car & person who had it had friends who told him about they ended up getting worried & left it first time I got it had 80,000 miles on it & right now it only has 89,000 barely drive it but only use it for work and go home and sometimes go for drives but other then that it stays clean safe & staying new :) it's a wonderful car
Ive had my 2017 sentra since 2020 and absolutely love her. She is great for commuting as well as road trips, I also use her for car camping. There is plenty of room for all my camping gear or if I'm headed to the beach for the day there is plenty of room for my boards, chairs, umbrella, cooler, insruments, blankets and anything else I may want to bring (not that I haul all of that to the beach with me everytine, but I can if I want)
I'm in the process of buying a 2017 Sentra with only one scratch on the front bumper, for me it does matter if my car gets scratched or bumped while parked so that's my opinion with any make of car!
Just traded in my 2007 SL with 128,000 miles on it for a used 2017 SV with 32,390 miles on it, same color-super black, so far I like it, doesn't have lane assist or the navigation system but I can deal with that, semi retired and working part time this will "probably" be the last car I purchase from a dealer and make payments on, I live in Newport News, Virginia, took it on a small road trip up to New Kent County, Virginia which is about 100 miles round trip, had it on ECO mode and noticed it was a bit sluggish when trying to merge onto the interstate, took it off ECO mode on the way back and it faired better, like all the bells and whistles that my SL didn't have and to me its a good looking car and I would definitely be upset if it got scratched in some parking lot somewhere, that's why for now I try not to park near anybody unless it is an absolute must, I'm still in that "newer " car phase..LOL, once it starts to get "old" I probably won't care any more..
Great perceptions and take on vehicles! And especially the concept of owning this one and how it fits in the car segment. I need a car I love with a soul to it. This ain't it but it's still a good car.
Ive had this car for a yr. Gets good gas milage and i like the features it offered. Drives smooth. I just have 2 things i hate. The trunk has a bar at the top so it limits things you can put in the car without hitting the think bars that hang. My second gripe which i hate the most is no space in the front and middle console! I have nowhere to put anything not even my phone. So my cup holder stays with my phone and badge and etc. So when i get a drink i have to rearrange things to have space.
Fellow Sentra 2017 owner here! I think it’s roomy enough. Then again, I don’t carry much with me. My phone, badge and a drink. I fit my phone in one cup holder, my drink in the other. I always put my badge in the door’s pocket, even if I had enough space in the center. I sometimes bring a snack too. I put that in the little nook, this UA-camr pointed to, below the AC. This still leaves me with the coin nook, and an additional cup holder on the driver’s side free to use. But like I said, I don’t take much with me.
I have since traded that car and got a new Honda which i love! Way more room now. I did notice the trans starting to slip a few times and i only had 17k i would put my foot all the way down and it would be barely going. Found out this is a issue most common. W owners they have a lawsuit on them 4 this
I wish you would of also spent some time showing the menus on the radio/features. I saw the thumbnail thinking you were going to do that because of how it looked & aside from a extremely brief disclosure of it? Nothing else other than driving & talking about your thoughts on the car. Maybe having a different video showcasing that texting feature/camera & ease of use on these infotainment systems would be great as part of your channel. I really didn't come for the car, and more for what I just mentioned because I'm looking at upgrading my 2014 Nissan to also have those added features that mine didn't come with. That along with the benefit of a newer vehicle. Thanks
I am sorry I am messaging late but I want to know that where is nevigation system after connecting phone that I am not finding.. anyone please help Me.. I bought this car so..
Hit the center of the left button on the steering wheel to get to the menu that pops up infront if you on the dash.. Or you can go to the radio console and use the setting knob to access the clock
CarsNToys When a person has to spend close to $20,000 just for a step up model just above the base, that is ridiculous, wages are stagnant but car prices keep rising...
socope17 Yes to this!! Corollas are $1500 to $2500 more in Massachusetts, Honda even more! I’m on my second Sentra now first one a 2008 that I had 100,000 miles on with no real problems except the usual tires, brakes, batteries ect..
Nissan recommends replacing every 60k if towing and/or using in muddy conditions. Otherwise you just inspect the fluid throughout the life of the vehicle.

It’s a nice car, y’all are just ungrateful haters.

I went back east (new hampsire) August 2019 for a family reunion, and this was rent a car . I loved it . I got a somewhat old toyata Corolla S 2010

Bummer. Thanks for pointing out those drawbacks. Cheers.

Thanks. Appreciate the feedback.
I disagree with this!!!! I love my 17 Sentra SV!!!!!
Same here, bought it a month and a half ago, I love it
The car in the display how do you change the color the match your car color
Great Sentra.
Question, how how's the transmission in this car, is it a good transmission 🤔
You said that you don't have to change the transmission fluid, that is life time, but the dealer told me to change it at 60,000 miles, how true is it.
Very true
I am sorry I am messaging late but I want to know that where is nevigation system after connecting phone that I am not finding.. anyone please help
Me.. I bought this car so..
Check your owners manual, you may not have navi my Sentra does not have it.
Does the rpm bounce back when reaching 3-4k while accelerating?
No. I didn't experience that.
How to change the clock on it ? I just got one
idk
Hit the center of the left button on the steering wheel to get to the menu that pops up infront if you on the dash..
Or you can go to the radio console and use the setting knob to access the clock
No electronic seats? For that amount of money they should be standard...
Yea, no electric seats. I think the SL model has electric seats.
CarsNToys When a person has to spend close to $20,000 just for a step up model just above the base, that is ridiculous, wages are stagnant but car prices keep rising...
I’d rather have man. Seats
What if your rich and you don’t care for seats that are motorized
@@CarsNToys sv model yes
How many mpg did you get in this car??? Thank you and good video
I averaged 35mpg between city and highway.
I had one as a rental car and got 35.2
In this price point the Corolla is def the better option all the way around.
Certainly a lot of competition.
True but the Corolla is about 2k more expensive. This mattered to me, at least. So far I’m happy with my Sentra.
socope17 Yes to this!! Corollas are $1500 to $2500 more in Massachusetts, Honda even more! I’m on my second Sentra now first one a 2008 that I had 100,000 miles on with no real problems except the usual tires, brakes, batteries ect..
For real you don't have to change transmission fluid? I change my Chevy every 50 k
Nissan recommends replacing every 60k if towing and/or using in muddy conditions. Otherwise you just inspect the fluid throughout the life of the vehicle.
Wilson Pal cvt they said you should every 60k to 80k just to be on the safe side
You should replace it in these shitty cvts every 30k
Here is car you can let the parking lot beat up on it and not care about it ? Take off !
Does this car have navigation system
No Nav..at least standard.
Smh so basically he saying this car ain't nothing to fuss over ......smh
Yea..it's a Sentra. Great point A to point B car.
duh
