I just bought the 40mm green dial version and I love it!!! The green dial is a work of art by Longines. Thanks so much for this video, now I know how to change the straps:)
The green dial is really nice IRL. Makes it a very stylish field watch. Happy you're happy with it, and appreciate my video. 😊
I bought my Longines Spirit 40mm Prestige Edition two months ago and I really enjoy it. It is my third watch and I wear it mostly with smart-casual outfits. The watch looks much better in real than on the videos or photos. All of it is really luxurious, especially the dial, mechanism and bracelet. Btw your video is the only one on all YT when I can see presentation of the nato strap. Nice!
Thank you for commenting!
I agree it looks and feels more luxurious. It's hard to catch the small polished parts in picture.
Funny about the strap, it's my favourite combo! I'll probably do another episode later on with this watch, an "after the honeymoon" episode.
I agree! I have been looking for a review showing the leather Nato strap. I thought I wasnt going to like it but after watching this I am changing my mind regarding the Prestige edition. Many thanks!
Thank you - lots of useful information!
Thank you! ☺️
@@thetinkeringseal my pleasure - I now know what the serial number indicates; this is very useful!
Just got the 37m in blue with blue leather strap this watch is very premium feeling and fabulous 🔥🔥
Excellent choice if you want a smaller size!
Also, date at 6 looks very good. I'm a bit bummed that the first year had it at 3 and then they changed it.
6 is really nice to place it yes but it makes more exclusive that you have that piece as well knowing they are not making it like that anymore
Nice review. I have the blue dial 40mm and love it. Currently running at +1.5 per day. I considered the prestige version but don't like bracelets so, wouldn't have been used.
The blue dial is really nice too with the sunburst dial.
Going from the regular to Prestige just for the comfy NATO strap is steep, so you made the right choice for you. 👍
Did you get the 42mm? If so, what's your thoughts on that one?
Awesome and very detailed review, definitely deserves more views.
Do you still have the watch? I have a 17cm wrist as well and would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the comfort and wearability, especially on the bracelet. Thanks!
I apologise for the late reply.
I still own the watch. It's very comfortable despite the typical Longines long logs, so it should wear very well on your 17cm wrist.
The bracelet feels... soft(?) in a way. Like wearing a leather strap but it's steel.

Great job 👏 on the video review! What is the part number of the regular brown leather strap please? Thanks, Stephen
Thanks!
Sorry, I don't know the ref for the regular straps. I'm sure your local AD can get you one though!
@@thetinkeringseal I meant the brown quick release strap in the video. I couldn't read the number
Oh! I'm actually wearing it right now! It's L582159668 for the 21mm strap (fitting the 40mm case).
@@thetinkeringseal Thank you so much. I bought the 40mm blue Prestige Edition and I want to put that chocolate strap on it 😋. What do you think about that? I want the black matte version, too! Maybe 42mm.....
Could be a nice combo. The blue on blue could be a bit much in some occasions.
Thanks for the video. Do you think the 40mm would fit a 17-17,5 cm wrist? Greetings from Norway :)
Thank you. 🙂
The circumference isn't the most relevant measure, the wrist width is more important. With that said, the 50mm could fit you well, but you might want to try the 42mm before deciding. To me the 42mm is too flat, so the lugs don't follow my wrist profile in a good way.
@@thetinkeringseal Thank you for the respond. My wrist width is about 6 cm so I'm hoping the 40mm will fit and not be too big. Again, thanks for the great review, going to try on the watch today.
It's definitely worth it to get the prestige!
If u buy through a retailer do they keep the warranty card. Also i wonder why they did the black date wheel on the blue. In person where the watch is darker in low light environments maybe the blue would have stuck out too much.
Why would the retailer keep the warranty card? That seems sketchy. I've got the cards along with all watchers I've bought.
Black date wheel with the blue dial might be a financial decision. It would look best if it was the same blue as the dial though, and then it would act the same in different light conditions.
@@thetinkeringseal thanks for the reply. I purchased from Jared’s and I believe I only have the cosc cert card. Maybe the other cards are in the box somewhere. It’s a Christmas present so I haven’t thoroughly opened it.
Ah, I see. I got my warranty card in the leather sleeve along with the cosc card. However, there are slots for cards in the back of the instruction book too, and i think there's a place in some versions of the box itself too.
If you want to make sure, open carefully and check for it. I wouldn't want to give it as a gift without warranty documents.
J'ai exactement le même tapis de bureau
I don’t think that only Prestige edition has quick release…🙄
anyone else having problem with attaching the leather strap?
The quick release spring bars can be a bit tricky, but they work well.
For those of us who wear our watches on straps, these crappy buckles are a big disappointment. You think Longines would give us a deployment clasp at this price point.
Deployment clasp on a NATO strap is not suitable. For the other strap it would be nice though, if it's an updated variant. Their old (current?) deployment clasp isn't anything high end.
LOL, a bespoke leather case to hold the spare leather strap...C'mon..
Not really understanding how this is a pilots watch and not a field watch.
For that you have to go back in history, to the original pilots watches. Simple dials with high legibility and an oversized crown. Look at the type A watches from the dirty dozen as one example.
No it is not.
