I just unboxed and setup the same model of TV today. I followed every one of your instructions and I’m really happy with the picture results. Thank you for this video, it was really helpful, very much appreciated👍🏻 Martin😉
I have been using the new 95D for a few weeks now and am very happy with the purchase. I’m having trouble turning off the SamsungTV Plus ..and cannot get back to my traditional FIOS channels… I did just install a new SONOS ARC ULTRA and it’s plugged into the ears input on the tv box. I did disable it in the programming ..Any suggestions ? THANK YOU
I am on the latest software version but I am noticing my S95D does not allow me to adjust the Picture Mode with the settings this video has. Movie mode is missing, for example. Any advice?
Not a bad walkthrough of settings but nothing about this is a calibration. If you don’t have a Spectroradiometer/Colorimeter hooked up to arrive at these settings - then it is preference. Also, Contrast 50 in SDR is going to cause severe clipping on test patterns, even below 235 (reference white). If you’re not calibrating with meters, leave it at default 45. If you want to preserve highlight detail up to 255, then 38-40 is the preferred option. Also - Warm2 is measuring around D55? Do you have charts to back that up?
Good basic video on basic calibration. I installed a Philips OLED 62 inch TV for my Parents in law. We were sitting in room with 6 other family members. Every said, these colours are too bright and oversaturated. I turned down the colour saturation dramatically almost to "0". Then most people in the room were OK after that. I wanted to buy myself Samsung S95D 77 inch. I went to the shop and saw the same issue. I told the sales person, those colours are oversaturated. He told me, that I was the only person for years that told him that. They all liked the bright colours. Especially green colours in nature look out of touch, for every UA-cam review I see from Samsung and others (expect for the Loewe it seems) it shows that problem. I'm glad there is a calibration mode in the Samsung. Hopeful it is solving my problem with those TV's when I buy it. But I'm still concerned, but this seems AV Partners give me some hope. Thanks.
The salesman will say that no one has ever complained about their tvs ever etc. Samsung makes the best screens in the world. And they have the best calibration ability. But they know that if the factory default is an accurate monitor, they won't sell any tvs at best buy because all the other tvs are set up hyper saturation and contrast modes. I'm a professional photographer and videographer and the default s95d settings were crazy out of the box. I spent a long time figuring out what I had to turn off to fix it.
Im watching football and when they pass the ball the ball is basically disappearing...what the heck is going on? I have best internet you can get. PLease help
Gracias
Instead of complaining about what might be ‘factually wrong’ just give the guy some credit for trying to help people. Use the settings he suggested or don’t use them, your choice but no need to criticise. ☹️At least he took the time to try and help people.👍🏻
haha 😂😂 From the moment I saw the settings of the "picture clarity settings" mod => I laughed so so hard. This setting MUST be full OFF, especially for Movies or you will have image quality like your family videos. These settings are "OK" at the limit for sport (F1... foot.. tennis) : nothing else.
i have an s90d and plugged these movie mode settings in and they look great. thank you so much...im loving my new Samsung.

I watch alot of hockey. Can you suggest a setting for this ? Thanks. Great video
Thanks I'm getting an s95d soon and it's nice to know what settings I'm going for .
Great Information, Eric and AV Partners!
Watching the old David Lynch Dune film and Netflix and these settings make it look a lot better, a lot.

so these settings are for SDR only and not HDR?
I wonder if this anti glare matte coating is easier on the eyes, my full gloss Bravia 8 is giving me a lot of eyestrain?

Intelligent Mode is on
To enable picture settings, go to Settings > General > Intelligent Mode Settings and turn off Intelligent Mode.
@@MrsQDawgThank you.. I was stuck on this as well.

I'm trying to get into "movie" mode, but a message says that function is not available. It is now in "optimized" mode now. Any suggestions?
Probably because your tv directly goes into gaming mode. Not quite sure but had the same issue with other models

Sharpness?
😂
Wrong
Literally 98% of this is factually wrong. The title should not say "calibrate" when that's not what this is at all.
Thats true, check my video for calibrated settings of s95b if you want✌️
@@Adrianek81calibration is a TV by tv bases you can't use the same settings as someone else
@@AndrewB23 yeah, but its expensive for many people so we copy from others to get better picture😜
