Spider-Man 1 was a menace it’s og and all so I get that opinion but Spider-Man 2’s story was better than 1 and the gameplay was way better than both of the Spider-Man games but your opinion does fit it doesn’t really matter if you put 1 over 2 or 2 over 1

What makes it better is that the story was original, everything had a normal paste but spiderman 2 story is so generic like how many times have we seen games were symbiote try to take over the world? @@josemolina3858 Nah that was a good homage to Web of Shadows the only problem is that it could have been longer not because we have seen it before. Fans had asked for it and we got what we wanted. Symbiote doesn't take over the world for no reason. Harry wanted to heal the world but the symbiote gave him twisted version what we wants as the symbiote thinks turning people to symbiote is healing the world. Symbiote sees thing differently then their hosts.

It’s the best game of the series, because of the story.
But we will play Spider-Man 2 and Batman Arkham Knight more because the gameplay is phenomenal

Honestly I agree with almost everything you said about the Insomniac Marvel Spiderman franchise, however I disagree with Prowler's mix and Phin's character-
When I first heard the mix, I was vibing to it. I was genuinely shocked to find out that people actually hated it for some reason?? Like c'mon it's good dammit-
Phin, while I wouldn't say she's the best character.. she's far from the worst. I felt her pain when she lost her brother, ironic considering I'm an only child. But still I love Mile's friendship with her, it's genuinely wholesome-

I feel like all of these games are Masterpieces! The Spider - Man DLC’s for the First Game are kinda a hit or a miss honestly. But ya”ll cannot be sleeping on Miles man How DARE YOU ALL SAY THAT GAME IS A DLC YOUR ALL LIES! That game is NO DLC it is its own game and it’s Almost a Masterpiece! if the story was longer and if they could’ve changed Phin’s Character writing heck even had some DLC‘s in there then Miles Would’ve Easily been S Tier!! And before they move on to making a third game the very least that they have to do is make a sequel to Miles’s Spinoff game because I believe that game deserves a Sequel especially after the ending we saw in Spider - Man 2!

Venom game nah,i think it should be purely night no winter or anything,spiderman 3 for sure though.
I still think my favourite is Spider-Man 1 but Spider-Man 2 is the most replayable for me just because the enhancements to the traversal and aspects of the combat make it hard to go back to the original. However, story and character wise, Spider-Man 1's story is just too good.

The best handled game in the series is no doubt Spider-Man 1 and its not really Debatable at all. My fav is Spider-Man 2 but sometimes just becuase of SM1's incredible story it makes it hard to choose.

I whole heatedly believe the people that are hating on Spider-Man 2 are people that speedran it in a day or two and didn't actually take the time to savor the dialogue and character interactions within this game.

Nah from a gameplay perspective it’s the best one but from a storyline perspective the first one is better and they do more justice to Peter’s character

I actually LOVE the DLCs for doing something that no main story really does: It keeps things pretty small-scale. It feels like a mundane story. No “end of the world” stuff. I actually prefer drama like “is Felicia pregnant…?” over “ALIEN INVASION!!!” ANY day. It makes you feel even more like Spider-Man in my opinion. It forces you to overthink your life drama like Peter. In Spider-Man 2, I know I’m playing a game. But with the small scale-missions, it doesn’t only make me feel like Spidey, it makes Spidey feel like us. It brings back the vibes from the first act of the original 2018 game, like the ESU Halloween Party. But the DLC makes a whole story out of it. I love the pacing of the small-scale stuff from all the games, but the DLC is all relatively small. Oh. And the OG Peter face. I’m honestly never gonna be over the change. It isn’t “just an aesthetic choice,” it actually takes me out of the story. I don’t believe this is the same guy from the 2018 game.
Bro why does Peter’s mask in the Hellfire Gala suit have weird white outlining from a distance? It’s really off putting to me, to the point where I can’t wear the suit.
Honestly, Spider-Man 2 was the one I replayed the most out of all of them. I a hundred percent completed it every time I replayed it too, even though the more forgettable side missions, I love the game so much and I hope Spider-Man 3 lives up to some sort of hype, because there isn't much else they could do to really better this, but I trust insomniac to at least try making something that fans will love.

What set Spider-Man 2018 remaster a part from the rest is the unique gadgets Peter could utilize. All of those crazy gadgets become useful in combat or stealth once you truly master them. Those who are fans of youtuber SoniSymbiotic would remember his crazy combo videos utilize those same gadgets. It's not just the gadgets, the abilities you can unlock for Peter as well in his skill tree. Like the gadgets and even the variety of Surges, they don't all make a return for Spider-Man 2.
Getting into SM2, they shouldn't have made Peter and Miles play the same. Their Web-Abilities layouts shouldn't have been the same at all. Miles Morales video game first introduced this and it was a fine improvement... For Miles that is. Peter should've stuck with the gadget wheel he had from 2018. This would've made both characters feel unique and different rather than the same. That's why I liked their original games where they both had their own unique game mechanics to utilize rather than disregarding how Peter plays from 2018 and force him to play like Miles was originally created to be. Peter is just a Miles Morales 3.0 in Spider-Man 2.

I do wonder how they will explain how the Carnage symbiote survives after you destroy the meteorite. Maybe there's more than one or he was simply out of the blast radius.
The carnage symbiote i think was apart of the bigger venom symbiote in the tube harry was in so since the venom symbiote was not going to die when the meteorite was destoryed the same would apply to the carnage one.

SM2 is so so good.. i couldn't believe when some people online told SM2 didn't meet the expectation.. what else they wanted Spiderman to become Batman? Only 1 complaint i have in SM2 was combat was slightly slow (air yank, air throw felt bit slow) and creativity of gadgets during combat was missing like Sm2018.

I think that from the 2018 game that started it all, it just got better each time. Marvels Spider-Man 2 is the beat out of all (in my opinion)

Spider-Man 2 has the best gameplay no question. I already have well over 100 hours into it and I cannot wait for the dlc. There are issues, but the swinging and combat is god damn PERFECT

I was playing miles morales while waiting for my copy of spider-man 2 to get delivered and I had one trophy left before it arrived but it was a pretty annoying one I think it was knockout x amount of players with remote mine, so I just deleted it and downloaded spider-man 2 and I still have not gotten the platinum trophy to this day.
Mister Negative partly carried the first Spider-Man game for me. I hope he’s comes into the MCU since the F.E.A.S.T. Organization is in those movies. He’s such a cool villain and I’d like his story to be expanded, a terrorist crime lord would be great in the MCU.

The symbiote is completely fine but at the end of the game Peter should have gave the symbiote back to harry then somewhere in the game the symbiote would have came out of harry like in the venom movie the you play as miles to defeat him again and maybe get harry and new spider man suit too before the final battle then you play as harry and miles to defeat peter

I might be the only guy who loved Spider-Man 2's story better than other two games. MSM2's story felt more personal and never felt it was rushed. There are a few things that could've been better but still with those flaws it doesn't make it bad.
Insomniac could still add some skills like for peter having symbiote change like web of shadows and for miles i have no idea 😅

he stood up against sinister six on his own with 14 broken bones but in spider man 2 he gets stunned by a fridge and in most scenes he's spider sense doesn't work at all

I definitely agree with you and I don’t care what anyone says Spider Man 2 is the best game they have made… is the story better than the first? I would say they are both tied I wouldn’t give 1 or 2 the edge… You can definitely have the argument about it being game of the year and in my opinion it was not the game of the year, But when compared to its predecessors it’s definitely better… This game will definitely be better looked at once all the DLC is released, It was the same with Spider Man 1. DLC was released and people rated it higher than it was before… If insomniac introduces Carnage in the DLC ITS GAME OVER! And I believe they will.. they teased Black Cat and she was in the DLC I believe all the characters teased in the second game will make an appearance in the DLC…

There are alot of great story elements in Spider-man 2, but i also think alot of the side quests are just not as good as the ones in Miles Morales, and ultimately drag down the pace of the game over all. However I think also think the puzzles are boring and completely uneccesary and reallly do feel like padding. But the traversal and fast travel definatley top tier. I wish that Peter's main suit combos were basically carbon copies of Miles' in a way... I think it just makes me want a full fleded Miles led sequel even more.

Not ashamed to say they are all S tier for me top to bottom. SM2 may get even better if there are DLC plans.
My problem with 2 is I think Peter should have had the Symbiote longer and the 3rd act should have been longer. It just felt all too short
Peter shouldn't have had the Symbiote longer because his main goal was to give it back to Harry who was dying after it moved to Peter. It's not your typical Symbiote story. Instead of the Symbiote causing Peter to act that way, it was exacerbating his rage and anger and he was using it more like a drug because he thought having it made everything better, at least that's how I see it. I do wish the Symbiotes around the city lasted longer like the escaped prisoners in Spider-Man, but that's the only nitpick I have. I LOVE Spider-Man 2! 😁
Peter being able to use his symbiote abilties before actually getting the black suit in the story in NG Plus is just dumb.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 1 - Best story and good gameplay. Dlcs were ok but screwball coming back was the worst part.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Great stand alone game with better and improved gameplay and everything else being improved as well. Soundtrack was awesome. Had a lack of villains and ones that were there, were meh. Story was good, just not as good as the first one.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 - Improves everything from the first two games. Better gameplay, web swinging, boss battles, etc. Story still isn’t as good as the first one but is still great in my opinion, best parts being Kraven and Venom. Just wish there was more time spent with Venom. The side activities I’m a bit mixed on. Some were good and ones like setting up Carnage and The Chameleon were the highlights. There was just too many EMF side activities. We need side missions involving villains from Marvel’s rogue gallery of villains. Still very much enjoyed the game and can’t wait for any potential story dlc. Just don’t bring back screwball, Insomniac. Never again.
You're in luck. The DLC has been leaked following the hack and good news, Screwball isn't a DLC villain anymore.
I 100% agree. I think SM2's story, on paper, is as great as SM's, but unfortunately it had some flaws regarding pacing, especially towards the end. Overall both are 9/10 games, or at least as far as I'm concerned.
Spider-Man is still my favorite, but Spider-Man 2 is a VERY close second!!!! Miles is my least favorite. I hated Phin, and not the good kind of hate either like I felt with Kraven. I couldn't STAND her and I thought it would feel good to fight her, but it didn't. I can't properly rank the DLC because I haven't played it yet, but I've watched it twice and I love it! Insomniac even made Rhino likable!!!! I hated Rhino until I saw the first game a couple years ago!
I love Marvel Spider-Man 2 but Marvel Spider-Man 1 is still my favorite just because some things in Marvel Spider-Man 2 didn't have like cops always getting involved during side missions doesn't exist in the game and also car speed chases where so much better especially having the cops involved and when you do stop a vehicle you must press the box button repeatedly to stop the vehicle and when you do the cops walk with their guns out to the scene I don't know why they didn't add that in Marvel Spider-Man 2 but the car chases are kind of a let down in Marvel Spider-Man 2 it's just weird a police officer is not trying to stop a speeding car but anyway I just feel like Marvel Spider-Man 1 just felt more realistic especially when it involves the police so for me
Marvel's spider-man 1 for the win and by the way when I was stopping a shootout between the police and the demons one of the Demons shot a rocket launcher at me I dodged and it hit the police car and it blew up crazy right

My only 3 major complaints about Spider-Man 2 are:
1. Too many cutscenes - they were fine on the first playthrough, but I'm more gameplay focussed on subsequent playthroughs
2. Some bosses are too drawn out. Some either have VERY similar phases, or some just have too many phases, similar or not. The best example of this is Scream
3. The Venom, not symbiote but actually Venom with Harry, storyline escalates a bit too quickly in my opinion. It felt like I blinked and then New York became a symbiote garden
My list of complaints is too long for UA-cam
I think spiderman 3 will have the spider buggy and we will fight the villains with their own buggies.
