I bought a Rav4 15 years ago, this car has taken me in the toughest snow conditions in Canada. The new one is even better than mine. I plan to drive mine another 10 more years.
Owned a 23 Adventure for 8 months and traded off for a 24 Honda pilot. Extreme wind and road noises. Cheap build quality and feel like the plastics may come off anytime. The softex aren't great quality and started making impressions of usage within 8 months. Mileage and reliability is the top notch here. Can't expect anything related to ride quality. Kudos to CC team. Watched plenty of your videos and loved them. ❤
toyotas will always win my heart 1.reliability 2.resell value 3.drives so smooth 4.cheap on maintence 5.amazing on gas 6. no turbos on some models 7. all models come with hybrid
Turbos are exciting to drive especially when you are in boost and it's extremely addictive. Unfortunately turbo technology isn't reliable so for a car to reach 200 maybe 250k miles on the clock with any issues is almost impossible. Making you car naturally aspirated, low revving and economical is always a winning formula. Toyota knows their target audience and they stick to them
I traded my 2020 Rav4 for a Buick. I had a lot of equity from my Rav4, I was tired of the run around of the snobby Toyota sales people. They could care less if you bought a car. I have been very happy with the Buick. It is smoother and quieter. The Technology is far superior when it comes to the carplay features. I am getting better gas mileage. I do not know if I will regret down the road, but I have tons of equity in my Buick and can dump it anytime if I become unhappy. I also have saved a ton of money compared to what a similar Toyota would of cost me, so I am not really worried about resale. I think total cost will equal out.
Thanks CC brothers and CC family. I was going to guess military green before my eyes focused on the title lol. Acknowledged by me it called Army Green .
18:24 why does the 23 honda cr-v have such a large decibel difference between the LX and EX models? Was that because they were tested on different roads, or does the EX have more sound proofing?
I’d reckon it’s due to the road conditions as Hybrid and Hybrid Sport L shows that difference too. Best way to assess NVH is to go for a test drive yourself.
All my life I wanted a Rav4 Hybrid. This year I finally bought a brand new 2023 and I love the hybrid mileage, the ground clearance and the 4 wheel drive. I was so in love that I totally ignored all the drastic design flaws. The roof is two inches too low. I am 5'10" and I bang my head every time I get in and out and what's even worse is the serious visibility flaws. When I look 30 degrees to the right the rear view mirror is directly in front of my face. If I want to look 30 degrees to the right I have to duck my head down to see underneath the rear view mirror. The center console is three inches too wide on both sides. It digs into my right knee making it painful to my knee cap to keep my foot on the accelerator pedal. I’m thinking about gluing on some padding to ease this problem. My wife also complains about leg discomfort on her side. The side pillars are so wide that I absolutely cannot see oncoming cars at intersections of less than ninety degrees. I feel like this is going to kill me one day. The headrest is so stupidly designed that I sometimes feel like it is forcing my head down. After four months of constantly banging my head, serious visibility problems and the most uncomfortable seating of any car I have ever owned I am now sorry that I ever bought a RAV4 at all. Plus I heard of a new class action law suit because the moon roof drains are short circuiting the air bags which it claims Toyota knew about but failed to fix which the customer must now pay to fix. After four months of living with this car I'm now sorry I ever bought a RAV4.
I bought a 23 prime. I loved it so much and drove like a dream. My husband is about 5’9 and always complained of it feeling so small. It was totaled in a hail storm and I decided to get a 23 Tundra! I know what you are talking about because after a few months it felt small to me but still an amazing car! Maybe trade it in
Same problem, and I'm 6ft4.. I tried to live with it for a year, then test drove the 4runner, and I was sold..mpg sucks but you don't buy a 4runner for great fuel milage😅😅
I still Remember my old "Speak and Spell" toy I had as a child ......Glad to see Toyota brought it back as the entertainment centre .....RIDICULOUS !!!!!!!!!!!
I was looking to upgrade my 2013 Honda Crv this spring. Prices are crazy now, I bought my EX- L ( top trim at the time) for 30k out the door ten years ago. Wtf happened 😂
The media system drives me crazy. Using it with Car Play, listening to and responding to messages is terrible. The radio doesn't duck out of the when Siri reads a message. So you get what ever you're listening to still going while Siri reads a message. Same with responding, that is so bad that Siri thinks the radio is you responding and messes up your response. Yeah, I've been to Toyota and "thats how it's designed" speech was given to me. Somewhere a software engineer thought this was a good idea.
@@alvinsimba734 That’s my work around. The 24 RAV4 is the first car I’ve had that doesn’t automatically mute the radio when messages are being used. Ford, Volkswagen, and my 20 RAV4 all did that. I can also hold the mode button in the steering wheel for a second and that mutes the audio.

i ended up going with the 2025 Honda CR-V because none of the toyota dealers around me had the 2024 rav4 i wanted. i live in one of the major cities in US and still all of the dealerships i called barely had any rav4. my local one only had 1 rav4 and it was the most expensive trim. Because of this the CR-V won me over plus the most basic trim checked all my boxes. I got the exact color i wanted too, Urban Gray Pearl. Lots of similarities between the cars however, you should be happy with either choice if your'e debating between the two
Anyone know if there is any easy to install covers for the red around the cup holder and the middle console just in front of the gear shift? I love everything about the Rav4, and I even like the red trim on the seats and around the cabin, but I HATE those red accents.
So the camry and crown gets new large screen and other new goodies, but considering this car sells as is they are going to provide you with nothing new ?
The way that infotainment screen is just cheaply glued to that plastic dash looks so bad to me. People literally overlook these things simply because it’s a Toyota and a huge improvement over any RAV4 before it. Although that’s not really saying much, based on the way it looks inside and out you’d think it was the *cheapest* car in the segment.
Tempted, but the issue I have with Rav4 and well Toyota in general lately.. they seem big on the outside, but small on the inside and its pricey. Love their reliability and mpg, but its a really hard sell. I'm debating on Honda CR-V hybrid or Subaru Forrester (cheap, reliable, real AWD, despite mpg loss)

It felt so average with nothing standing out. The forester, rav4, and cx30/50 models have been my favs to test drive so far
Entertaining and informative video. The non-turbo engine and real transmission should deliver typical Toyota reliability. The multiple shapes and angles of the exterior and interior are a bit too Transformer/Hot Wheels. They could use some smoothing out. LOL
Those silver plastic pieces under each bumper are the worst. And even worse with Army Green. I “deleted” them with black vinyl wrap on my 21’ XSE hybrid, along with the chrome plastic window trim
I hope Toyota fixed the water slushing around in rear door compartment from previous model to which it cost me almost $500 to fix for a 3 year warranty. Oddly, Toyota didn't even consider this design flaw as a recall!

It is better to avoid this car, if you are looking for better driving experience. This car gives you better mileage and no issues in handling etc. But the build quality is such a crap. Nice but interior is so plain and boring compared to my Subaru Wilderness Forrester. I like it but I don’t think I could be happy with it after having a Subaru. Already owned a CRV and Subaru is definitely a upgrade over that
Yes and the remote app is a 3 year free trial. You are better off with aftermarket. I did that to my 2020 Corolla with an aftermarket remote starter and never looked back. Also it depends what trim you go for as well. For me the LE trim has enough goodies already
$39,500 ridiculous price. I like it but never at that price, nothing included on base trim. Everthing extra cost a fortune. Will buy a loaded Trax or Envista for $11,000 less
I wouldn’t do that, the 1.2/1.3L 4 cylinder ecotek engine will fall apart. General rule of thumb is the bigger the engine the longer it will last. Also Turbos break so if reliability is important avoid turbos
Good reliable vehicle with great features but overpriced and not worth the price. Better off buying a used Pathfinder with the new transmission and reliable v6 that you can actually take off road to a certain extent. Oh, don't forget for that price you still don't get remote start unless you pay for a subscription.

Nice but interior is so plain and boring compared to my Subaru Wilderness Forrester. I like it but I don’t think I could be happy with it after having a Subaru. Already owned a CRV and Subaru is definitely a upgrade over that
Does anyone think the day time running lights look similar to the Q5’s?
Just bought my4th RAV4. 🎉
Is there remote start included?
Yes and the remote app is a 3 year free trial. You are better off with aftermarket. I did that to my 2020 Corolla with an aftermarket remote starter and never looked back. Also it depends what trim you go for as well. For me the LE trim has enough goodies already
Free trial? Honda offers remote start for free. The heck?
Redesign was suppose to be 2024 but it got delayed to 2025
Car companies need more greens browns stop gray crap
Why would you not review the hybrid? More torque and better gas mileage
Most people still buy thos version... Nevertheless, we have a hybrid review coming up this week!
You brothers are so awesome
Thank you!
Get the hybrid if you have the option
Don't really like the rap for us too small, like honda c crv or Nissan rogue
Nissan rogue is garbage..👎🤮
Nothing much change maybe this time and the next year to come it need a redesign….
203 HP? No wonder I blow by these cars! lol I like the green.
Maybe you blow by them becuase their owners are not as immature as you?
$39,500 ridiculous price. I like it but never at that price, nothing included on base trim. Everthing extra cost a fortune. Will buy a loaded Trax or Envista for $11,000 less
I wouldn’t do that, the 1.2/1.3L 4 cylinder ecotek engine will fall apart. General rule of thumb is the bigger the engine the longer it will last. Also Turbos break so if reliability is important avoid turbos
@James_Willow You don't understand English?
@@ak1996able Trax is 3-cylinder turbo, not 4.
Good reliable vehicle with great features but overpriced and not worth the price. Better off buying a used Pathfinder with the new transmission and reliable v6 that you can actually take off road to a certain extent. Oh, don't forget for that price you still don't get remote start unless you pay for a subscription.
nothings really changed I have the 2019
Both the mk 1 and mk2 look better than every mk since.
It's just too small for me
Maybe it is better to review just the basic models, of any car. Great job though
