I remember watching part of this as a kid (was on tv). I particularly remeber the part where the wife is trying to hook the husband with a old lady but when asked why he did not like her, he said to the wife "she does not give me the tingles".
As made clear here, FF will always be remembered first & foremost for her role in Charlie's Angels which is a terrible shame because she was, in fact, one heck of a talented actress.
I absolutely LOVED this movie!! I have been looking for it for a long time. I'm so glad that someone posted it on youtube. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
I love this movie. Marriage in those times and in that place was a business transaction. She wanted her family to be taken care of. I can't imagine being as strong as the women back then had to be.
This movie was one of Farrahs best as far as I am concerned it is so deep emotionally on so many levels one of my FAV westerns ever I need to buy it R*I*P* MY SISTER ^i^
thanks I really did enjoy this. I was looking for a trailer or the complete movie.. but this catches it all i believe :) I even cried for a second. Very nice!
Thank you sooo much for posting this tribute. I couldn't find this movie but this is a good compilation of best moments. The movie is really great and all the actors r at their best. Thanx a lot.
I have this on video, taped from TV. I didn't start taping until the got back to the farm - where mud plops into Amy's stew pot (wish I'd gotten the beginning too). I love the music too, but haven't been able to find it. Beatifully done!
I worked on this movie as a crewmember- helped build the sets etc... I was the guy who lined up all the buffalo droppings for the actresses to pick up. Farrah and Lea were nice- Weller................................ I wont say anything
Lol this is the second comment I've found that said Peter Weller was a jerk. Kind of depressing to hear that since RoboCop is one of my favorite movies.
Julio Pecina... it works because they all fall in love with each other. Trust me... when you have this kind of love and trust... there is very little pain to endure....
I found this movie for sale on Amazon for 48 dollars! Used!! I never knew Farah did this movie. I want to watch the entire thing but I can't find it anywhere. Amazon is too expensive!! Does anyone know where I can get a DVD or even a VHS of it? Thanks! :-)
I have loved this movie so much since I last saw it. I've only seen it twice. Once on cable the next tivo. I've kept it until the damn tivo crapped out on me. But wow this movie does ask a question. Would a woman still in these times would she do this for her family? And endure her man falling in love with other woman. I don't know but it's a hard one to answer I guess.

In the mental health industry these women were called Frontier Mothers. They had little time to deal with luxuries (feelings)...too busy surviving.

I worked on this films crew. Lea Thompson is the nicest person alive. But Peter Weller was a D--K!

Farrah made some great films once she got going......
Julio Pecina... it works because they all fall in love with each other. Trust me... when you have this kind of love and trust... there is very little pain to endure....
I think Mare Winningham and Lea Thompson look alike.
