Just keep in mind you can over torque the B model and damage polymer framed pistols. Just. Quarter turn past hand tight works, no loctite and a dime fit perfectly in the flat head spot. Honestly though, the Surefire Turbo is where it's at. Skip the Ultra and get the Turbo. Streamlight TLR1-HLs are a better performing light than the Ultras. Customer service is better with Surefire imo so if that's worth the extra $50+ over the Streamlight to you go for it. It's worth it to me but i have more money than sense.
Never had an issue with my TLR-1s that necessitated me talking to their customer service and they all still work perfectly. My oldest one is closing in on a decade. Take that information however you wish.
@@JakeCamo $200 is about as cheap as I see the X300U. I bought 2 at that price a few months ago. The same retailer had the TLR1-HLs for $150. That's where I got my pricing from.
To be honest, one of the best ways and best people to explain about guns and make it fun, even though I know most of these information, i still like them and especially the people who are explaining it, keep going 👍🏻
The X300UA was specifically made for polymer pistols and can break the frames like another user said. But not only that but if you torque it down to “goin nowhere spec” you will have significant increase in malfunctions. It’s just the opposite effect but same result of weak wrists FTF.
It’s just a thumb screw, even if you transfer it every day it still doesn’t need tools so I’d go with that one anyway. It’s clamped dodo waaaaay more tightly so that outweighs the disadvantage of the 10 extra seconds it uses up
Looking for a good phone mount for my pistol. I keep a Coast G19 mini light on the holster. Put on an optic, light and a laser and then say my 1911 is too heavy or big? Practical is out, Tactical is in. Elegance traded for cheap rails and movie tricks. Call me Fudd.
For me the A does not stay on unless you use the other mounting option that has a square pin you push through to lock it in. Like I could just shake the gun and the light would fall off. A well know armorer says to never use the screw down lights as they damage the dust cover. I still prefer the screw down style.
I have a UA on a Glock 17 and that thing is on there so tight I can’t even get it off the gun without taking the screws out of it, there’s no way that thing is coming off by accident 😂
There is no recommendation. Hit a shot and see what feels the best and which trigger you like the most. I wanted a Glock and ended up with an hk vp sk. It’s all about feel
Does Surefire make a smaller version for a compact handgun like a Glock 26 or M&P compact? I have an Olight PL Valkyrie Mini but many have said those are crap.
Olight baldr s is amazing 800 lumens rechargeable lasts a long time and has a very secure clamp had mine a few years use it multiple times a day taking my dog outside to go to the bathroom probably has 100+ full charges on it and 0 issues
oh my, so i wrote this comment kinda joking, figured it was 100 bucks. google and it's like 370 dollars. so it's more like 100x overpriced dude, get a life. tape a $10 mag light to it.
It's a Surefire, you can chuck that thing into the grand canyon, go find it, throw it into the river at the bottom, go find it. Strap it back onto your handgun and it'll still work perfect

Surefire can keep their overpriced weapon lights!! They burn through batteries pretty fast for one thing and other manufacturers make lights just as good for half the $$ (Streamlight)
The would completely stay away from the ultra models, I ran the TLR1 HL for years and just recently transitioned over to X300T and bought both the A and B. Dont waste your time with the A models honestly i only purchased it for a PX4 comp.
I'm still rocking an old Streamlight tlr-1. Been flawless for me. It spends most of the time on my Remington 870 tactical magpul edition but it's easy to take off and mount on my m and p sport 2.
All, NOT a fan of weapons-mounted lights or lasers. Most people get NO TRAINING in how to use them properly. They watch the crop of poor Cop shows on TV, and do the same. A light is meant to be merely FLASHED for the shortest period of time; your mind takes a mental picture, and then you MOVE! If you turn the light/laser on and leave it on, it just shows the bad guy where to shoot. Better to my mind, is the FBI/Harries technique with the light in your non-dominent hand, with both wrists against each other. @2amichaelj the x300 is 3-400 bucks on surefire's website, depending on model. The tlr-1 is only 150-200
@@2amichaelj yes but I’ve only ever seen that $200 once ever, but see the tlr1 regularly at that price. Good deal tho! Smart to get it during that

Locked in, hammering out excel spread sheets
?!
Couldn't agree more. The clamp ones fall often despite lock tight

Fudd.
Shaking it out of the package like that is just so true to life.
Not sure if you already have but I’m going hunting soon. Could you possibly make a video on recommended firearms for beginner hunters.

I have a Streamlight TLR- and flys off my P320 all the time. So I don't use it any more
Put lock tight on everything 😅
It’s so easy to unscrew with your fingers and take off… why would anyone need a quick connect
UB is all i buy
The switch sucks on it. It should be a depress switch like the olight pro
What would you personally recommend for a medium conceald carry

Also 1 is 300 and the other is 400. Ill just stick to olight thanks
Yeap. I never had a issue with my olights.
What’s the tightest fitting light I can get on a g43x
So buy a couple! Problem solved!
Why I always carry me a quarter and spare batteries 😅

Yep. Just flip the lever to lock and unlock on the mini.
👍
why not get a cheap long lasting light and then just welding it on?
Why do you put a light on a firearm?
what is the difference? One is 10x overpriced for tacticool goobers and one is only 7x
