Man I love all the stuff the manufacturer of the transmission adapter did to make sure the modifications are done correctly. Since the modifications needed to fit it are quite invasive, there is a lot that can go wrong, so it's really nice to see they give you all kinds of guides to make the cuts correctly instead of just saying "do x", "cut at y" or whatever.
This is by far the best car channel on youtube, from the fabrication to the editing and everything in between. Stoked to see this drift truck finished! inspiring to see how far this channel has come.
I'm really excited to see what you do with the exhaust. I'm hoping for a true dual with an x-pipe no mufflers :) (or maybe a little something so its slightly street-able)
@_Gingium_ 8 in 1 would be so sick, but I don't think it will fit, maybe equal length heathers, but there are already unequal length heathers on the 1uz
I say it all the time. This man deserves double the subscriber count. The editing the production quality are both top tier. Not to mention the build quality and content of the channel. I mean just look at this thing. It’s freaking epic. Let alone being done by one person in their own shop.
Still can't get over how mad and crazy this build is A mazda truck with a toyota engine, a ford supercharger bolted on, nissan 350z trasmission, nissan 240sx front suspensions and geometry and ford rear diff. I wonder what's next lol
Love the direction the truck is headed. Your fab skills are way better these days. I hope you gusset, or connect the trans mounts you welded to the frame....
Im soo freakyng amazed at how your head works to think all of this and make in it work alltogether its just impressive man. Love to see you drift soon, and at the same time dont want it to end.
Damn man your fab and mechanical skills over the last couple of years have grown like crazy, and I'm just saying that as a low skill shade tree mechanic, not trying to be the authority on it, just really impressed with how much you've done and can do, I'm jealous haha. Love this truck, got a 92 B2200 myself, something like this is a wet dream lmao, so excited to see it done.
An old trick we used was to get a spare input shaft and use it as a clutch alignment tool. I also had a mate who could spin up a splined shaft of any size on the mill, he'd make cheap alignment tools out of Delrin and give them away to everyone he knew, I still have one in a drawer somewhere. I bet you could make an alignment tool yourself using some clever non-obvious trick and indexed rotation. Trying to think of how to make one with the plasma table 🤔
You need a access panel or inspection panel ( the black cover on top ) location shifter which is the best to shift and more reliable than any tripod system from the back.
Loving the drift truck build🔥 I would go for a Carbon fiber drive shaft in the event of it wanting to twist it’ll sheer instead of a aluminum/steel binding up and smacking everything!
Doing a 2JZ +CD009 swap and I need a cross member made for my 89 Toyota pickup! Can’t find leads and I am not a welder. I’ll be doing a short shifter!😊
Dude, your skills give me way too much courage to go and cut up my car! 😂 My pride and joy was ruined due to a reckless driver, plan to cut the front and do a tube front.... These videos are dangerous! Hahah
Great vid! One note tho... I was expecting you to make the triangle part for the "crossmember trans mount" like a pipe that goes from the center trans mount almost all the way to where its botled to the frame... But this might be plenty strong, I just dont know about the stiffness... Other than that I really love your fab work, great stuff!
I don't think this is readily available in the United States since the Hilux hasn't been sold there for quite some time, they get the Tacoma instead which is only available with an automatic transmission. Besides that I don't think using this would have been a good idea anyway, since it was a transmission designed for use in a Diesel engine so the gear ratios will be all messed up when using it with a gas engine. It will work of course, but the shift points will be super weird, especially with the super short 1st gear the Toyota Diesel transmissions have.
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't, JK your welds look sweet and so do the drift truck watched the whole thing on patreon but I couldn't resist dropping a comment here. Also I can't wait to see this thing run again it will be crazy.
The DriveShaft shop is great, but for locals it's not so much anymore. Walk ins aren't welcome after Frank sold the company. Definitely do carbon he gave a buddy of mine one of their carbon shafts for his OBS truck and it was beautiful
I gotta admit, im REALLY looking forward to the finished product.
Me too!
Well that makes three of us.😂
@@legoengineer8833 well that makes four of us 😂
5😊
6. 😉

Usually, i wouldn't really be watching fabrication stuff but this was so amazing and well done! Finding something that you love and know is special

A transmission worthy of such a project
Absolutely
I'm really excited to see what you do with the exhaust. I'm hoping for a true dual with an x-pipe no mufflers :) (or maybe a little something so its slightly street-able)
There will definitely be some mufflers or resonators, but it'll be pretty loud :)
@@_Gingium_ 8 into 1 or go home. Go listen to KSR's burnout car. She screams !
@_Gingium_ 8 in 1 would be so sick, but I don't think it will fit, maybe equal length heathers, but there are already unequal length heathers on the 1uz
I was hoping for 8 out the hood. 🤣
Nascar style boom pipes maybe? :)

Dude, the quality is there in every aspect, the build, the video, the editing, the music. I am so excited to see this thing rip
This fish brand really thought of everything… guides on where to exactly cut and the tools do do so!? Crazy good company
hands down best build on yt rn always so excited when a drifttruck video comes out
It's SUNDAY! Time for "Gingium" & "Driving 4 Answers"
That "bruh, were mint" was incredibly satisfying! Great work!
If anything you could always do a front fender/bumper exit exhaust if there is no room under the truck
And thats kids how you ruin your back 101. Awesome work man, cant wait to see it on track.
Who else is doing this stuff on youtube CONSISTENTLY?? Keep it up dude, been watching since early forza days!!
The quality of this channel is INSANE. Nobody's doing it like Caleb. Gaw damnnnnnn
Fabrication is just next level now. This is going to be insane!
just came back from a big car meet to find a new gingium video in my feed. todays a good day
Ayeeee Sundays are good days!
Still can't get over how mad and crazy this build is
A mazda truck with a toyota engine, a ford supercharger bolted on, nissan 350z trasmission, nissan 240sx front suspensions and geometry and ford rear diff. I wonder what's next lol
nascar-inspired "boom tubes" would be cool with their exit just before the front of the rear wheels, but they'd probably be too loud
This video was just so satisfactory, the production quality, the attention to detail is insane. Love this build!!
bro this video was so well made, the editing, the cinematics, the info, THE MUSIC CHOICE THAT SHIT WAS BANGING
specifically at 11:40 to 12:05
I can literally watch you work all day. The edits to the music, your videos are so amazing and relaxing. Thank you
I found your page during the lock down for build recap of the drift truck. You sir are an inspiration and talented as hell. I salute you
I still remember the old days when you were making Forza videos, I still remember your first Subbie, so proud of your evolution and achievments
Your content is extremely high quality. Been here since the gaming days, you are awesome dude.
Duuuude I love the constant use of the plasma table! Killin it, this thing is gonna be awesome!
I count myself as a UA-cam mechanic officianado and you heard it here first he does it and films it the best
Gingium I gotta say your fabrication skills get better and better 🎉. V2, 1UZ Frankenstein mini truck is going to be Sick
Love to see the truck at one of the many UA-camr drift events eventually
Your fabrication and welding skills are top notch.
Your builds tend to he among my favorite. I am so stoked to see V2 come to life.
I love monday mornings in Australia 🇦🇺 ....usually means gingium day.
Bro just the welding alone is to keep me subscribed 👍🏽🔥 great work ethic
The filming just gets better and better. Love this channel.
These last few videos been on fire
Such a clean install. Amazing work.
One of the cleanest builds well done
Felt like a really really good video, everything is unique and perfectly done
gingium the car surgeon :)
The level your builds have evolved having the plasma table is insane I fooking love it. Can’t wait to get one my self keep up the dope content ❤
Can’t wait to see this truck finished, loving the build so far Caleb 🔥
Basicly my dream build right here.
Love the direction the truck is headed. Your fab skills are way better these days. I hope you gusset, or connect the trans mounts you welded to the frame....
What about some oval exhaust tube for clearance?
cleanest motor install of all time!! Youre killin it man!!! this build is amazing and youre working so fast!!!!
Im soo freakyng amazed at how your head works to think all of this and make in it work alltogether its just impressive man. Love to see you drift soon, and at the same time dont want it to end.

Good ole percussive fitment! :D
Welds are still as fantastic as ever
GOD I LOVE THIS BUILD.
Put some gussets on the ends of the trans bar mount. Just some small triangles. Better safe than sorry.
This build is insane 😁 can't wait to see the finished project! Keep up the excellent work bud 💪🏼
You're welding skills have improved fo sho! Can't wait to see this thing on the road!

That wasnt the problem. He had an alignment tool.
U have zero clue what ur talking about. Thanks for the laugh
This is going to be your cleanest build yet! Soo pumped
You need a access panel or inspection panel ( the black cover on top ) location shifter which is the best to shift and more reliable than any tripod system from the back.
For aligning the teeth you could just put the transmission in gear and it would in most cases lock up enough to put it on the engine
5:51 "Mustard or ketchup" got me dying
Aluminum bowl tig welded to the trans bellhouse with a wood base built for it. Small shop sink build when?
Damn Bro.. your Fab work is getting to be Project Binky Level.
Awesome work bro, well done!
I’m ordering my driveshaft through driveshaft shop, hopefully they’re good and fast shipping
Got the mazda of theseus over here lol. Just need a cab and frame swap. Looking sick cant wait to hear the whine of that super charger!
You’re inspirational mate. Keep up the good work
Your fab skills are insane man!
Can't wait to see it finished 😁
Loving the drift truck build🔥 I would go for a Carbon fiber drive shaft in the event of it wanting to twist it’ll sheer instead of a aluminum/steel binding up and smacking everything!
Wow man you should do more NorCal content always a vibe
Doing a 2JZ +CD009 swap and I need a cross member made for my 89 Toyota pickup! Can’t find leads and I am not a welder. I’ll be doing a short shifter!😊
Drift truck, rally miata. What's next? Time attack camaro and rx7 dragster?
Dude, your skills give me way too much courage to go and cut up my car! 😂
My pride and joy was ruined due to a reckless driver, plan to cut the front and do a tube front.... These videos are dangerous! Hahah
I love this content, one day I will swap my Pathfinder to 1uz
Man, this build is going to next levels of awesome, good work. :)
Skill is insane!
Sickk! I Can’t wait till it’s running🤘🏽
do you ever feel like a 1zzfe engine?
I immediately thought you could've just put the transmission into 6th 😅 but you still got it in either way
1:54 me with everything on wheels
This build is just incredible
You should get your hands on an S1 sequential shift kit for the cd09
We're getting close!
Great vid! One note tho... But this might be plenty strong, I just dont know about the stiffness... Other than that I really love your fab work, great stuff!
Hilux d4d gearbox is a direct bolt on to the 1uz. Can handle loads of power also.
Stage 1 clutch on drift build that will over heat pretty quickly
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't, JK your welds look sweet and so do the drift truck watched the whole thing on patreon but I couldn't resist dropping a comment here. Also I can't wait to see this thing run again it will be crazy.
the tube on the trans mount may bend, keep an eye out when you trash it on the track
The DriveShaft shop is great, but for locals it's not so much anymore. Walk ins aren't welcome after Frank sold the company. Definitely do carbon he gave a buddy of mine one of their carbon shafts for his OBS truck and it was beautiful
you might need a heat shield and wrap the headers because they will melt stuff. specially that steering rack if it has any rubber components.
Well Done!
You ever have plans to do something up at pocono raceway? Drifting and other events all year. I also just want to see the cars
I won't start thinking drifting is cool, but this truck will be.
Thks
Looks awesome man good job to the whole team!
Honestly, if you complain about a problem enough while working on a project vehicle, it'll eventually work 😂
Its Looking bad ass G 😎🔥
Nice to see the drift truck, but when are you going to fix the volvo's transmission?
bro i love your videos, keep it up
If you want better mig welds push instead of pull
Hoping to see a tadem video with taylor ray one day
This looks too good
Millimeters, my man!
