Flygon’s probably the most obvious choice for a video like this. Poor guy was cheated out of a Mega in ORAS due to artist’s block, and it could really benefit from it.
Yeah if Flygon is a dragonfly why can’t it be dragon /bug type
Not to mention, they gave the Mega Evo to Garchomp instead, who already was stronger than Flygon without said mega evolution

100% agree. Luxray really needs some love. I agree with basically all of your suggestions, but would give it Dark typing. Funny that I'd already thought about Strong Jaw the moment I clicked the video.
Suggested future episodes: Flygon (duh), the Kalos Starters, Mightyena (though could end up highly similar to Luxray here in suggestions), and Johto starters (primarily Meganium, because it really needs a hand).

The Sinnoh starters need some too. Especially Infernape.

Infernape needs a mega form with white flames on the top of its head, and a custom ability to 'move by itself' and 'dodge' super-strong moves or super-effective moves with a BP of 80 or higher.........

The possibility of new Mega Evolutions in Z-A is what has me most excited?
My reason to believe Luxray is because I started seeing it as a counterpart to Ampharos which can mega evolve and it's Clemont's main Pokemon in the anime.
Funnily enough, a Mega Luxray exists in Xenoverse, so GF could take a page from Weedle and his team and see how much people would want the Lightning Lion to be amazing.
Luxray is a victim of being a physical attacker and other terrible stats and having a limited move pool
I like your stats, and yeah Dark is a take it or leave it thing. Strong Jaw is also a good choice, though I could also see Galvanize.
As for other potential Megas, we should stick to weaker 3rd stage mons that wouldn't be buffed otherwise, like Flygon or Jumpluff.
Oh, and the Kalos starters. Not the Z-A starters, the OG Kalos trio.
I want a dudunsparce mega where it adds two more segments and is given the flying type just to piss off the people who want it to be a dragon.
But then it'd be less likely to have dundundunsparce as its third stage evolution.
Legends doesn't play by the same rules as traditional. Luxray was in my main party in Legends

The biggest thing that needs to happen in the next Pokémon gen is a straight up physical electric move with the same power as thunderbolt with no negatives. & make it backwards compatible with most electric Pokémon.
I love Megas for mons that NEED help but mons like Dewgong, Jynx, or Ledian are perfect candidates for Evos first. Unless they gave Mega Ledian like HugePower or something lmfao
I want mons that have potential for power to get them that very clearly missed out last time. Milotic, Flygon, Dragonite, Luxray, Zoroark, Kalos Starters, Goodra, Florges, Hydreigon, Haxorus, and the Nidos. Very obvious hard hitters that just need some fun.
I liked your ideas. You gave good reason behind your stat distribution. I agree with the ability you'd want for a hypothetical Mega Luxray. I hope that one of the Mega Evolution ideas that you cover in the future is Mega Hawlucha. Below is what I'd do with a Mega Luxray.
Typing=Electric, Electric/Dark, or Electric/Fairy
Ability=Strong Jaw, Tough Claws, Intimidate, Moxie, Defiant, Galvanize, Volt Absorb, Lightning Rod, Motor Drive, Electric Surge, Surge Surfer, Fur Coat, Speed Boost, or Overwhelming Aura(upon switching in, this ability lowers the opponent's Special Attack by one stage; this is an ability that I'd like to see given to numerous Pokémon, regardless of whether they are a Mega Evolution or not)
-I would ideally want it to be Strong Jaw, with Tough Claws coming in second.

Mega's coming back for Legends and the other spin-offs makes complete sense when you realize the main problem is balance, these game's (outside of Unite) don't really need to worry about that because they don't have a competitive scene and even with Unite it's way more of a gimmick than a universal mechanic
They can really go balls to the wall with these Mega's now unlike before if like Arceus there's no PVP
However imo Mega's should be made exclusively for already 3 Stage families as the lore is only fully evolved Pokemon can do it meaning giving one prematurely means they can't revisit the line for a more permanent upgrade like an actual evolution
I could see the Kalos starters having long lost Mega Evolutions. Imagine a Mega Greninja looking just like Ash Greninja but without the Ash like design to him

And new ability
Ability: Desert Storm just like the Primals it is an unlimited sandstorm when Mega Tyranitar is present in the battlefield. It also cause moves that would be super effective against pure Rock-type Pokémon to instead deal neutral damage to all Rock-type Pokémon
A new ability to raise it's accuracy by 1 stage. Works with us Pokedex entries and makes supercell slam guaranteed

I'll be honest I'm more in the opposite of wanting undeserving and forgotten Pokemon that needs Megas. And while I do agree that Luxray even Flygon that needed megas which makes sense (in context) having very weaker Pokemon that has no viablilty in competitive or even in game and has terrible stats,abilities and such is much of a better choice in my opinion.
Which is why (and I can assume you be doing this soon) I made a top 10 weak forgotten Pokemon that deserves Megas in Pokemon Z-A, in no particular order:
1. Unfeazant
2. Sudowoodo
3. Ledian
4. Kricketune (Mystic's favorite lol)
5. Pluse
6. Minun
7. Sunflora
8. Jynx
9. Luvdisc
10. Lumineon
I have a theory that the story takes place many years after the story of XY and that perhaps it even merges with the events of the Pokémon XYZ anime. Remember those roots that grew in Kalos I think that at a certain point zygarde lost the battle in trying to defend the region from this, which caused Kalos to be destroyed again and only ruins and fortress cities like Lumiose were left.
I would imagine Galvanize is an option for Mega Luxray. Though tbf it probably would've been nice as a standard or hidden ability to get around its physical electric atk options while gaining a decent boost. 120 atk with a Galvanize boosted would be nice but its speed would still be its biggest weakness. Im surprised they never did any stat adjustments to it a long time ago. A simple fix before mega could be to swap its sp. atk and speed. That way it becomes a little more threatening. Or better yet give 100 base speed, and cut sp. atk down to like 45 or 60 and toss in some points for a bit of bulk.
Did I need a 9min video about why Luxray deserves love? No.

Tyrantrum and or Aurorus definitely, fossil Pokemon in general need more love
I really wanna see a Mega evolution for Magcargo. Not because I like Magcargo alot, it just needs so much help. Keep the Rock/Fire typing; give its mega the storm drain ability. Now its immune to water type attacks, gets a special attack boost. Give it a signature fire type atrack that is unaffected by the rain, like lava bubble or something. I think with. Few stat buffs, nothing crazy and that ability, I think Magcargo could be somewhat viable.
I saw art on google that made Ultimate Luxray into a full on manticore!

Hydreigon, Luxray, Raichu & Dragonite are some pokemon I would love to see get a mega.
Imagine a Mega Dragonite with massive wings(that make sense for a Dragon) and a more muscular looking body and instead of a Green Shiny they can change it like they did with Garchomp

All Luxray needs is 20+ speed, Volt tackle (please distribute it more for the love of god already), a boosting move like Swords Dance or a Dragon Dance like move, either Galvanize or Electric surge and maybe Extreme Speed too.
A Sinnoh Pokemon I think deserves a Mega Evolution is Weavile.
I would love to see more love to gen 4 pokemon in the megas department. Imagine mega electivire, mega weavile, mega staraptor... Considering gen 4 starters are one of the trios that recieve less love from nintendo, I would also love if one of them made it to the starter trio of pokemon AZ.
Luxray is a fine mom in... SU the tier below ZU. Though not a staple like fellow gen 4 mons like lumineon and phione but it's a good Mon.
I wonder if they are gonna bring back battle bond? Except maybe instead of just greninja give all three that sort of ability. That could be amazing
I want to see the new regional forms of Pokemon that might appear in Legends Z - A including Starters. And more Mega Evolutions that should've exist to me are Hydreigon, Dragonite (due to four Mega Evolved Pseudo Legendaries), Slowking, Froslass (alternate counterparts of Slowbro and Glalie), Chandelure, Amoonguss, Volcarona
Thematically I really loved Megas : it really felt like the Mega was the Trainer's ACE pokmeon, it's very best, also Mega having to carry the respective megastone (except Mega Ray ofc) made it slightly balanced !
Although Some Megas were a bit too strong ( some even nerfed, yes I'm looking at you parental bond >_>) I actually do prefer it's mechanic over G-Max , Z moves, and even Terra (though one must admit that Terra made a lot of pkm far more viable) !
Having Tauros mega-evolve into a minotaur feels like an idea
Flygon, luxray, milotic, Yanmega would be funny, mightyena, carvana, and ofcourse charzard Z 😈. I love the concept of megas that breath new life into pokemon
If you guys play the fangame pokemon desolation, they have a mega luxray there and I’d say it’s a pretty good blueprint for the real games.

Before even starting on Mega Luxray, I'm going to just suggest a couple small adjustments to the base form.
First, replacing Rivalry with Keen Eye, to reference Luxray's Xray vision.
After that, swapping the Sp.Atk and Speed stats is a no-brainer.
Now for the Mega.
Typing is obviously Electric/Dark.
I'd buff its Ph.Atk to 145 (+25), both of its Defenses to 99 (+20 +20), and its new Speed to 130 (+35).
And its new Ability would be either a new variation of Tinted Lens, or Strong Jaw.
Ew, Keen Eye. Why replace a perfectly good ability with a cosmetic one that sucks ass?
This would make Mega Luxray a bulky physical equivalent of Mega Manectric and I'm all for it!

My wishlist for new mega evolutions are any of the three starters, Flygon, Genesct, Luxray, and Dragonite. And maybe give Lucario a second mega form like Charizard has two.
You better hope that no post gen 6 pokemon will get a new mega there or that will mean it won't be useable at all in the potential remake of gen 6 in the future (unless they never get remade or ported that is).

Strong Jaw is better than giving him dark type, its basically free STAB with no weaknesses.
Moxie could also be an amazing choice for its ability
I think it makes a lot more sense for Luxray to be pure electric. Aside from having x-ray and being black there’s no reason it should be dark type.
Maybe I'm a little biased because it's my favorite pokemon, but mega krookodile would be awsome.

One Pokémon that definitely does not need a mega evolution is Flygon
I would give it Galvanize the exclusive hidden ability of alolan golem's line turning normal moves into electric type for a stab plus an extra 20% to the power of a good physical attacker would be amazing was stabbed boosted body slam and quick attack with 2 of the 3 resistances week 2 ice fang and the ground Immunity also weak to ice fang there's little that would want to switch into its physical attacks and 3 of the 4 that can luxray has covered for and turning physical normal type attacks into electric would buff the very limited physical electric moves there is.
I would hope they wouldnt just reweord its usability with a Mega, It needs a higher move pool and rewokred base stats as well-Justice for one of the collest pokemon out there.

Krookadile and Haxorus need megas. There are so many good gen 5 mons that could get one but they have one to Audino of all things
I think that Luxray should get Galvanize. Like give it Body Slam, Extreme Speed, Double Edge, and Thrash. Hell I think Galvanize should go to normal Luxray. Like swap out Rivalry for it.

Honestly I think Heliolisk needs an electric/dark mega too. I know it’s a sun themed mon but it still looks like it should be part dark to me. A regional variant would work too if we weren’t back in its native region

Golduck, Rapidash-both formes, Dodrio, Persian- both formes, Meganium, and Flygon seem like pretty good choices.
Mightyena should be a no brainer.
I am so glad that it's stayed pure electric. I think I might be that rare breed that believes the dark type doesn't fit this Pokemon whatsoever. Sure you could say that it has connection to the x-ray vision but my counterpoint with that is that it's supposed to be reflective of how big cats have a really good ability to see in the dark. That's not being underhanded, that's survival.

Luxray I feel like it just needs a buff in general, megas won't stick around after legends so it needs something more permanent. That goes for EVERY pokemon that needs a buff.
