Ooh a lunge entrance! This will def help with my initial fear of falling flat on my backside! I’ve been practising with an off-ice spinner (the Jerry’s one) and that is helping me get the strength and position right too. This is a hard spin though!
I would like to request a tutorial on how to snap faster in the air or maybe some tips and exercises because i have a problem with popping my jumps too much 😐
I definitely can make a video about that! Try going back to doubles if you're popping too much, that is if you're trying triples. Get a good feel and get the ground under your feet. It's usually a loss of concentration or the timing is just completely off.
I’m working on my camel and sit spins on quad roller skates (I can do them, but needs some work on form and style) and this was helpful even though it’s on ice, thank you 🙌🏼
This was really helpful! May I know if you need a stiffer skating boot in order to do these more advanced spins? Does it make a huge difference if I use beginner skates like the Jackson Mystique to do these? :)
Hello! I have a question. I‘m currently wanting to register for a competition in star 3 but my camel sit spin is not in the best shape. I feel like I don't have speed with the camel spin and I always get caught up on the toe with it. In my sit, I can't spin for some reason. I don't think it's the speed that caused it. I think it's because my position is wrong or I get caught up on the wrong edge. Do you have any solutions or tips for that? I really need help!! Thank you!!
Takes a lot of practice to make that transition, but once you've got it down, it's quite easy after! You have to make the change quite quickly while at the same time maintaining your form and balance, which is the biggest problem for most, they make the edge change and completely lose their form, then it's really hard to hold onto that edge change. I just make sure to change the balance in my foot quickly from being under the toe pick to the middle of my blade while doing an outside edge. It's hard to explain to be quite honest 😌💖🙏
@@Sofabar Thanks, that helps. I totally understand. It's important to maintain the extension and stretch so that you stay off the toe pick and spin from the ball of the foot over the the front third of the blade.
What type of Leggings do you wear to practice?? Does it matter the material?? I like the leggings that goes over the skate. Can you do a video on this??
relax96 basically any leggings will go over the top of the skates as long as they’re full length. There are some that are specifically made for figure skating but it’s really the same effect. I usually use champion brand or old navy and they’ll go right down to the heel.
Definitely not for beginners. It can take months to learn such elements. First work on perfecting your skating skills so you have good balance and stability ❤️
I think that may be a calf tightness issue; your calves might be very tight? If you can squat deep off-ice, like all the way down so your hamstrings are resting on your calves ("a$$ to grass squats" they are sometimes called), you can do this without raising your heels. If you cannot squat fully without raising your heels, work on calf stretches. You may also need glute/hamstring stretching ...your whole posterior chain could be tight. Hopefully that helps? (or top of boots too tight to flex ankle if it's none of this?)
No, nothing is wrong. This is a common problem in American skaters, but can happen to anyone. Your quads are tight. Stretch daily and you will be able to do it eventually. This is also why figure skates have heels. Don't worry.
The last combination spin was so beautiful and elegant 💗 Wonderful video, as always 🤗
This was super helpful and you explained things in ways that I can visualise better! Thank you! x
I'm soooooo happy to hear that! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Super graceful
Thank you!
Hi do you have any tips on how to keep the free leg straight? For both sit and camel

I don't think it should make a difference for spins, but definitely think about getting stiffer skates once you start doing doubles and triples. ❤️

Gorgeous spins! How do you shift to the outer edge camel? I've always thought that they were beautiful!

Beautiful camel! I wish more skaters both male and female took time to hold a gorgeous camel spin. Yuka Sato also did amazing camels. 🙂
Thank you for your kind words! And yes she had a beautiful camel! 😍
Thank you!
Let’s eat pork cutlet bowl
Do you think this stunts can be done by a beginner?
I've been skating for 4 months and I sure af can't, but I still don't have good balance in my spins.
@@ASHERUISE ok thanks!

Ok so I just can't keep my heel on the ground when going into the sit, does anyone have any tips on that?
Do you mean in the shoot-the-duck exercise or literally in the sit-spin?
The shoot-the-duck

Yes!

You’re from Austria, right? And do you skate in competitions and stuff? :)
I'm not from Austria, I live in Germany. I do still skate in competitions :)
wait, how do you squat with your feet flat on the ground? i can only squat on the balls on my feet, is something wrong with me?
maybe u have tightness in muscles

I’m not strong in the legs so sit spins are hell for me lmfao
Has anyone ever told you that your voice sounds just like Mandy Moore?
Does it? Thank you ❤️❤️
