BMW Trunk Lid Error Fix

- Investigated an issue with my BMW 530XI where I was receiving alerts that my trunk lid was open. The car would chime after I stopped completely and started moving again. I discovered that there were cracked and broken wires in the trunk. After clipping and soldering them back together, no more issues!

Hi man, I think that i have a similar problem to yours...only thing i need to ask...were you able to open the trunk or it was just the chime telling you it was open?
If u could not open the trunk, how did u opened it?

Ok sure enough I checked and one of the wires is cracked in half and the others are messed up to, the problem is it’s right in the end of the tube and I have no room to cut wire so I don’t know what to do

What if you can’t open it no way of opening it
If the key fob and button at the trunk lid aren’t working. Check the trunk lock switch in your center console. If it’s toggled to lock, that may be your issue. Otherwise If you need to access the trunk, you can do so via the back seat. Fold down the middle cushion and plastic door. You’ll need to reach a hook through to pull the emergency pull.
