Just put your phone on do not disturb during sleep hours. You can green list certain numbers and apps like calendar or clock.
What I want to know is how detrimental being woke up every couple hours by kids, animals and other people is, not something you're doing to yourself.

I use my phone way more than I probably should, but still have never heard of sleep texting 😂 kind of confused on how common this is

This was 11 minutes of waffling.
Let me save you the time: Receiving notifications on your smartphone during sleep might interrupt your sleep and diminish your sleep quality.
    Real ground breaking research

Best thing you can do is by a traditional alarm clock
