I like how "new Buell" leadership decided on taking feedback from potential buyers and enthusiasts to finalize the design. Not only is that more cost effective than hiring multiple designers to turn out refinements on the aggregate but it also instills a sense of brand ownership on the run-up to the final production model. Well played.

I'm warming up to it but the concept bike still looks substantially better than the production model and I hope they can make a few more tweaks to get it closer to the original idea.

The most intense Buell absolutely the most incredible machine. There is nothing like seeing Ken Kaplan lighting up the back tire on one in the exhaust hurting your chest. I have been waiting a long time for the review and I must say one badass machine. I can't wait until Ken Kaplan has a selection of these absolutely number one badass machine. Buell just needs to stop taking shit off the bike from the original concept or even from this point forward unless it’s an upgrade, no more downgrades. Then get more of these dealers, like yourself engaged (in my area though, northern cali), and we gut ourselves a show stopper lol. I can’t freaking wait to get mine. Let’s go! Oh but please fix that damn exhaust and keep the super cruiser logo on the tank versus the newer design. Looks so much better and cleaner.

@@KaplanCycles how is going to duel rotors better?, that large single side rotor is suppose to stop better and it’s a unique buell design, I’m disappointed that they are taking it off.
Missed the mark with leaving the dual Brembo’s and the front forks off and adding that parts bin exhaust the production bike. Then that price tag with those changes.

Hell I got hyped when Kaplan brings something new to my attention. It looks affordable! And thats where it ends sadly for 25,000$ I cannot say this is a good call.

That was the super cruiser of its day
Sadly people were not ready for a liquid cooled engine at the time and to me held Harley back from development as it took a couple decades to now have these buell
I should call you up again and see what kind of deal you have on
I may have to put the stock vrod and turbo vrod in the collection corner and pick up a buell
Absolutely incredible, but youd have to get that sc project pipe that was on the first released version.....looked like it had 2 pipies per head down to the one muffler
4-2-1. Was a custom pipe from Roland. I don’t think SC is planning anything with Buell.

So I just saw another video that said, as well did your video, that they got rid of the perimeter disc. Isn't the perimeter disc one of the Buell characteristics that makes it Buell? Plus won't it gain some weight back now? Also, changes in the fueling system subtracted 10 hp. it also said they had to make two "frame cuts" to get the engine in and out. No Ohlins suspension? Hmmmmm. What's going on? Seems like there's gonna be a lot of changes. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅

Am a Master tech with Kawasaki, Suzuki, Volvo cars and Yamaha. I wish I had the chance to ride one of these. I've put over 390.000 miles on motorcycles and raced dragbikes for over 35 years.
Just by looking at the super Cruiser I want to say it is the perfect bike got damn it man👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I can't wait to see the boys out there that ride them Harley Wheelies this is mother fucker is set up for that it has such a great look everything about it is top shelf man very impressive I am so proud of the museum man everybody their fucking rocks💯👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💚😎👌🏻🗯🗯💥🤟🏻🤟🏻

I wonder how it compares to the xDiavel. That cruiser has 152HP and 85 ft-lb of torque at 5000 RPM.
What’s to wonder? Buell kicks out more HP and torque, lighter, less electronic restrictions and has a better lean angle.

I love those bikes and not for nothing, but I'm waiting for the SC Project exhaust. I saw a lot of pictures of the prototype with the SC Project exhaust and it just looks the best. It has more style because it has a "beer can" style design instead of just a round stainless pipe!!! All good though!!! Gorgeous bike though. Bye Bye Indian FTR 1200!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅
Hope SC actually produces something with Buell. The prototype was Roland’s own custom design and took the can from his FTR build. I emailed SC project and they claim they have nothing in the works currently.
Man. Thanks for the info and thanks for calling SC. I hope somebody does something. Don't get me wrong, I love the Kaplan option combined with a tune so at least there's something, I just think it would look much better with some type of "designed" end can instead of just a straight-through, perfectly round pipe!! I suppose the good news is, once they are out and about and we get some measurements, we can always come up with something from another application that fits hopefully!!! SC or something like Austin Racing.... can you imagine how bad ass something from Austin Racing would look? Thanks again!!!
@@ar2043 I was just as excited as you were about the SC. I’m still considering a custom exhaust system and just buying that SC muffler to match what RSD has. If you watch the original interview with Roland all he said he used was the Buell exit pipes then welded the muffler into a 4-2-1 set up. Doesn’t seem overly complicated and I’m sure any custom shop can fabricate it.
Oh yes… I totally agree. Coming up with something custom shouldn't be too much of a problem!!! Even for us do- it-yourselfers!!!
if there was any justice in the world these would replace harleys overnight. at this point the customer base of harley davidson couldnt find their arse with both hands and a map
Harley bought Buell before, this bike here is quite different than almost any Harley Davidson as Jr said. This V-Twin has some torquey snap with revs. -the engine Harley Davidson always wanted but in that lighter chassis with a large concern for low weight.
= If you are a Harley rider you really need to ride one. I am thinking this engine may get placed in future Harley bikes/models or used as a replacement engine.

Well at least I figured out my issue with the SC's appearance. It's pretty much just that damn bulky seat. I HATE that seat. This needs a thin profile single, or even a pogo-style, allowing the rear fender to be fully exposed. The looks would improve drastically. How much is the SC if I order now?
