Welcome to my reaction video for Marvel's Echo Episode 1! 🎉 I'm super excited to share my thoughts on this new addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) on Disney Plus.
In this video, we'll dive deep into the world of Echo, a character that has been making waves in the comics 📚. We'll discuss the trailer, my initial reactions, and what we can expect from this series.

With all the comments on YT saying "why wasn't there more daredevil" i had to go back to the main page of Disney+ to make sure the show was called Echo.
Holy crap having episodes longer than 30 minutes does a WORLD of wonders for the quality of these stories. This has been better than most marvel TV shows and I really don’t care that much about the character, but it’s just so well done. The tone, the visual style, the choreography, the MUSIC, and just everything about this is so good.
It's odd to me to see comments here saying the exact opposite of this... I get not being super into it but to act like every single thing about this is poorly made and executed seems like they're trying a bit too hard to continue that "M-SHE-U" hate. Kristian seemed checked out from the get go though😅

Loved this 1st episode. More positives than negatives for me. Has that Netflix Marvel vibe. Cheered outloud when Kingpin and DD showed up.
Im excited to binge this show.. but I will do it on Friday. Just wanted to give you a like and view, because I love the reactions.
I understand the pace issues but this show is great to me. I loved how they caught up any casual viewers for those who haven’t watched Hawkeye or Daredevil with the exposition. I think the choreography was great in my opinion, I just wish they spread the 5 episodes into about 6-8. But I still like this series a lot. Finally brought back that Netlfix Marvel feel we’ve been waiting for
I really enjoyed it a lot as well, and hoping we get more from this character in the future.
“Is that her dad or uncle?” “Who’s Bonnie?” Bro you gotta pay better attention, they introduced those characters & their relationship to Maya minutes before 😂

Watch the first two episode and so far I’m enjoying it. The best part being the performances particularly from echo herself. And it seems like one of the main themes will be, being so caught up with seeking revenge that you don’t just put yourself endanger but also the people you love.
Just started the reaction and the “don’t eat the bird” is hilarious.
I enjoyed the first episode. I had no issues with it. The recap was solidly done while putting in a couple extra scenes, and I thought the fight scenes were well done. Excited to see where the show goes.
Loved the series from start to finish.
I don't give a shit about CGI blood. Just be happy we got blood at all in a disney+ show.
Not nearly as annoying as fake guns/muzzle blast. It was already happening, but Alec Baldwin literally buried it. I don't mean to be disrespectful, just honest.

@@TikkiEXX I like practical effects when done well. It’s refreshing in a way. Irresponsible motherfuckers shouldn’t ruin an entire aesthetic.
Better than you expected. It was a nice start. I think certain shows are trying to not explain as much. Audiences talk about being treated smart and not dumb. Then when they speed some stuff up people seem to complain that’s it too fast. If the audience is smart then they should be able to keep up. I think that what tv shows today seem to be having to deal with the most.
I watched Hawkeye and had no idea what I was watching and then saw the first seen that was interlaced from Hawkeye and then I was like… whoooaa… ok, now it’s all coming back to me. I actually liked Hawkeye, so this was really cool to see. So far so good in episode 1

Stan Lee emphasized that the first and most sacred rule of writing any Marvel hero or villain is to make us care about the characters or the rest of the story suffers. And right with the first episode I am absolutely invested in Maya Lopez. This woman has been through as much trauma and loss as any other major MCU character.
I really liked Maya in Hawkeye, but I LOVE her in Echo!
And as much as I absolutely love both Daredevil and Kingpin, I’m so happy that they don’t steal the spotlight entirely from Maya.

She has no powers. They made her the Phoenix in the comics recently, but other than that she has no powers. She is basically a female version of Taskmaster.
Not gunna lie when the show started and was the underground magic ppl I actually paused cuz I thought I started the wrong show lol but pleasantly surprised by this show overall
Finished the season.
I loved it. Simple as that. It's up there with Loki season 1 and 2. And WandaVision. There's a few thing I was meh about. But as a whole. I don't see how anyone could be upset by it. Or I should say it's bad.
And baffled. I shouldn't be. The amount of people mad or hate it because it doesn't have more Daredevil. This isnt complicated. Its Echo. Not Daredevil. Id say those upset are just people who hate for hate sake. Dont have anything of value to add. Just sad people.
I’m glad you’re doing another full review for Echo like you did with One Piece. I’m with you no King Pin from Daredevil series. The fight choreography was great. I want more of the backstory connection.

I found this a mixed bag, A lot of the tone and style felt much better than the recent Marvel work, especially for this part of the universe. The fight scenes had great elements but still felt heavily choreographed and sped up in places like Daredevil getting up from the floor unrealistically fast. I like that they have made this accessible to everyone by setting up the character for anyone new, which Marvel has forgotten about in recent projects, for me it was just a bit slow, but I think that was more me than anything. I'm open to finishing the series but think I will see how people react to the rest of the episodes as I'm not feeling the pull to jump in again just yet.
Loved it, and just finished episode 4 and 5, they were the best
All Netflix shows are canon. They were added to the official MCU timeline on Disney+.
The first episode was cool. Btw Kingpin killed her father not Hawkeye/Ronin
I liked the first episode I thought Hawkeye was honestly the best of the Disney marvel shows because of Renner mostly. I wish he didn’t get in the accident for obvious reasons, plus that he could have been in this show maybe in more flashbacks or maybe modern time. This is the tone Hawkeye should have been. And what marvel as a whole should move towards.
To your point about CGI blood, it's a bit hard to do it when a guy gets popped in the neck😂
Otherwise, I would agree just use some squibs and we are all good
Episode 1 was solid. Hopefully it keeps up the trend
My only nitpick is the pacing but I think they had to get audience up to speed from everything that happened in Hawkeye but otherwise I thought it was a solid first episode! Love the 50 minute runtime
I'm 2 episodes in and the show is ok I was really surprised that they showed Daredevil I thought they would save him for the last episode and that'll tie into his own show the fight scenes are cool at times I just felt it took awhile for them to get the focus of what the show is and I didn't expect to see a cameo of Hawkeye/ Jermy Renner I guess it was a recap of what happened in that series I'm just scratching my head with this show so far I don't know which direction they going with this one I feel like Kingpins being missed used in this series he's been in it for a couple of scenes and that was it he's not in the 2nd episode which I don't know why, but I'm going to finish up the rest of episodes tomorrow and hopefully the show gets better, but after 2 episodes in I don't know what to feel about this show. I felt like episode one was kinda recap of the events of Hawkeye and then the rest of the episode kinda fell flat for me in my opinion.
Right. It's not even a show. Just a series of scenes. I can't imagine how bad it was before they had to cut it and make those awkward timing black screens lol
It’s cause they took the Kingpin scenes from episode 2 and put them in episode 1. Episode 2 is the one that cut down. You may not believe me but I worked on the show. I was surprised how much is in episode 1 that was shot for other episodes

@@mikeb5067 You mean all the flashbacks? Seemed like a lot of catch-up scenes for those who aren't all caught up. Once that passed, it seemed paced pretty well.

Secret Invasion was okay up until that ending.
@@JeffZ1028Secret Invasion was awful when it killed Maria Hill for no reason in episode 1. And it destroyed the Skrull Invasion storyline. No amount of other mediocre TV shows can match the damage Secret Invasion did in my opinion. The Skrull Invasion should have been the next Avengers plot.
@@terrymcginnis01 Can't say that character death affected me anywhere near as much as it did with you. I try not to compare and expect as much from the MCU adaptations.
@@JeffZ1028 yeah, the adaptations are vastly different. But coming off Endgame, in 2019, you have both Captain Marvel and Spiderman: Far From Home referencing Skrulls. Then WandaVision ended with a Skrull. It was straightforward to build off that. Secret Invasion wasted those elements, killed an OG Avengers character, killed Talos, made Nick Fury basically useless and introduced the all powerful Gaia. There was a lot that didn't sit well with me regarding that show. It wasn't until our comments here that I remembered it. I think I tried to just block the show out of my mind, especially since The Marvels (released 4 months later) gave us a different, funnier Fury.

It was really good, not perfect but I was entertained throughout.
I agree it felt a little rushed, but I think that's necessary, in order to get the series underway. If the entire first episde was just the origin story with nothing else, we'd be far less interested. Pilots and/or first episodes of any series always have that problem to solve. How do we set up the characters and the situation AND keep people interested and wanting to tune in for the next episode. Overall, I think this episode was pretty satisfying. They made sure to get enough action in there to keep our attention too. (Some of the action wasn't so great in spots though) I'll keep watching, and hope for the best. I don't think they should have dropped all the episodes at once, but that's just me. Dropping the first two or three episodes and then going weekly would have been more intriguing I think.

This one was a bit of a catch up/set up episode, episode 2 gives us a little more of what the show will be. Flawed but still interesting for me, I'm bingeing the rest tomorrow.
The only strange thing is that recap if hawkeye, but I think it's a good first episode, it's not spectacular like many of the first episodes of the MCU shows, but it's pretty solid, I think I understand why they released the entire show on the same day.
I saw all the Disney shows. I think it's pretty interesting where they want to go. Uh, I saw Hawkeye. I saw miss marble. I saw captain marble. I saw all the Disney shows on. It's pretty interesting. Wtf? Why do your subtitles look so clean, like part of the show. My subtitles were in a black box with the semi pixelated letters.
This episode was a little rough, 28 minute long "previously on", unexplained stomach wound we can only assume she's had for 5 months, overly packed with what the writers or director thought would be poignant moments. Had some good choreography for the fights, but the writing is too hamfisted, it feels like something I would have written when I was twelve if I wanted people to think I was tough and edgy. So many scowls and idk, silly moments. If they cleaned up the flow, there's definitely a good show in there

I respect marvel for going more mature but writing story telling and pace matter a lot more and this show has none of those .
I'm not a fan of first episode. Losing her family was hollow, i felt no emotion for her loss. Also the whole backstory of first choctaw people felt flat as well. Not to mention it was very dumb of her to say, nobody needs to know she came back, then goes to a public place where anybody can see her. And surprise somebody did see her and wants her dead for the reward.
Apart from some fight scenes and Kingpin, Daredevil & Hawkeye appearences, it's a huge miss for me.
I liked the tone, and the story. Pacing problem yes, (Disney could not contain itself from doing some disney crap at the end but anyways), but because the first two good points I can forgive the action scenes. I give it a pass.

This was such a weird show, up to the mid point of ep 3 when I bailed, in that it felt so incredibly slow and rushed at the same time

Cgi cgi cgi everywhere they get a chance to use it. Cgi bird, cgi dog eyes, cgi blood, cgi gun and muzzle blasts, the fights have cgi in it. It looks like a blurry crowded mess i really dont understand why the mcu just doesnt want to go practical at all. It looks terrible and cheap I completely checked out

They literally had a horn wake up a sleeping def girl on the motorcycle... She only uses sign language but asks the the skating rink dude to speak somewhere more private 😂 this shit is really dumb. And i like simple action movies, this aint it. It sucks that their first MA show is this.

@@chazzerousSome of it feels pretty forced. I think many constantly yap and make noise for the sole purpose of not having the video get a copyright strike. A lot of this is him just making random noises😅 Seems pretty checked out but I'd probably be pretty checked out if I had to constantly make noise.
