I took 5 citations to a courtroom because the cop was a liar and a hot head and the judge told me after reviewing the bodycam that he was in awe how calm I was. I told him arguing is meant for a courtroom in front of a judge, not in a street. The judge dismissed everything, thanked me for my patience, and apologized on behalf of the officer.
That takes good discipline because when I was younger I used to have a big mouths with the cops until I matured & realized I was just taking the bait. I always went to court & fought the tickets but looking back even if I felt the cops were jerks my mouth did not make matters any better.

Our officers followed the procedures that other officers wrote. So there is no problem with how they acted. Because we like to act that way and made it our policy.
Hey, I've been in law enforcement for almost over 17 years. I have to say listening to what you were saying on first take, the whole purpose of police is to serve and protect. The fact that Hill was a little bit smart does not give reason to act as they did. The fact that there literally multiple situations all over the internet that show very rude and aggressive behavior displayed by people that are not of color and they are not treated as what Hill was says more that the cops in that situation wanted to show fear and power over hill. That is not what any officer is trained to do.
Thanks for your service, I’m a LEO in Illinois. I agree with everything you wrote and I’ll add to it. Before I was on the streets I was in the jails working corrections and we had to DE-ESCULATE on a daily basis without the use of stun guns, batons, firearms, vest, etc. So you have to have extreme heart and know when to use force and when not to. So when people like me go on the streets we’re not egotistical and power mad. We are thoroughly trained to deescalate and don’t try to be tough guys like the average LEO. All of that could’ve been avoided but you have some LEO’s who feel they can’t be disrespected AT ALL!!!! If so they feel they can flip out and take the law in their own hands. Hill should’ve never rolled the tinted windows down and he should’ve been handcuffed but here’s the difference. Because you know it’s Tyrese Hill you know this more than likely isn’t going to escalate on his part, he may say some disrespectful things but so what! It’s not my job to arrest people for calling me names, there was no need to put him on the ground. That was ego driven by the LEO’s. Police shoot and kill people and video proving it was self defense still takes weeks for the PD to release. To expect this footage to be released a day later is silly.
What are y’all talking about? He refused to roll his window down, officer knocked, then like a small child he repeated “don’t knock on my window like that,” then he rolled it back and was told to keep it down - certainly a safety concern for officers given how many are shot during traffic stops - and yet he didn’t. So then the Hispanic officer ordered him out. He didn’t immediately get out. So they helped him out. If he wanted this to just be a ticket, he should’ve just said “yes, sir, here is my stuff” and followed lawful orders. When you act like what I saw in the video, yeah, you’re putting yourself at an increased chance to wind up in that situation. Rolling up that window and then not rolling it back down poses a threat. An officer can request you roll it back down for his own safety. Unless you’ve walked up to a window at a traffic stop and realize how exposed you are - especially to someone who’s already shown you that they’re going to disrespect you and that they’re not going to be cooperative - then you don’t realize why refusing to do so is a big deal. And this isn’t about why are black people treated a different way. This is about just use your brains and be respectful. That is not what any officer is trained to do.
what say you about the whole windows down thing??
Again, I understand the cuffing, afterward give him his tickets and let him go. That’s it
@@Roclemente1 I was a captain in a prison and started my law enforcement career in the jails first. I feel that's the best way for anyone who is perusing a career in law enforcement. That way you learn the tools of communication first instead of force. Thanks for your service.

But immediately ripping Hill out, slamming him in the ground, later pushing him down and the having his hands on Hills neck and then shoving his head away, and the screaming and cussing was completely unnecessary, excessive, and unprofessional. The level of the cops response did not meet the level of Hill’s actions. It was basically and ego trip. He felt disrespected and wasn’t going to let some guy in a nice car talk and act like that towards him. So he responded the way he did, and now he’s on admin duty.
Tyreek could’ve gotten his ticket and rolled on, but he refused to act like an adult and refused lawful orders. Ergo, the rest.
Good point.
Correction, he said don’t knock on my window" 8 maybe 9 times like a petulant child.
Are you angry? Do you want to call him boy, you claim that he didn't act like an adult, so he deserved to be placed face down on the pavement. Hum, you have anger issues. I'm a Critical Care Professional, I needed to see a patient who was an inmate, chained to the bed, I was dressed in hospital scrubs and, a name tag, the deputy who was in the room stood up when he saw me, put his hand on his gun and stared at me with hate, his face shook, convulsed as he stared at me, I asked him if he was ok, the other deputies were relaxed and friendly. I decided to never stop and try to help a police officer in the future, because one of them will drive up and fear for their lives.
What exactly was the safety concern here? That a star football player is going to assault an officer on his way to a football game? I don't think any reasonable person would have that fear. I guess a racist person might.
@@JJarv213 I don’t think the Hispanic officers were being racist. Plus, I thought only white people could be racist?
But, anyone who has ever walked up to a window at a traffic stop can tell you you have no idea what’s going on in that car. When you have tinted windows through which you can’t see, you’re at an even greater risk. Exactly, Hill didn’t mention how fast he was driving, what exactly did he said, and etc. Should wait for all the facts to come out before commenting so they don’t have to walk back later.
And you’re speculating on their speculation. It reads like you also don’t know.
The media shows are built around this sort of controversy
NCAAP needs to get involved.
White PGA golfer S. Scheffler was not treated in an abusive manner
The argument would be he complied.
Did you even watch Scottie's arrest? He went to jail. There is a mug shot! I believe the color of his jumpsuit was orange. Probably, both cops are bullies with mommy issues who SHOULDN'T BE COPS! HILL WASN'T TAKEN TO JAIL... Don't try to paint Scottie's arrest as less to make your narrative. I respect most police officers. The bullies in a uniform get no respect from me and should never be put back on the streets no matter what race the victim is... This was shameful, as was Scottie's arrest!
Tyreek was rude, dismissive and uncooperative. Scheffler was confused and polite. Nobody should be shocked on the result. This is not a race issue. This is a compliance issue.

People are NOT 🚫 required to follow every command/request by officers. That is why the say LAWFUL order meaning it's backed by a law. Rolling window down is NOT 🚫 a lawful order hence no action required. It was EGO.
As a retired NYPD & a bi racial man this is a combo of 1st Hill driving reckless & speeding. Not complying with a lawful order. He didn’t keep his window rolled down. That being said? The cops had a right to remove Hill from the vehicle. They asked him to sit down so he doesn’t attempt to flee and for his own safety so he doesn’t wander & get struck by another vehicle. It’s all for the safety of the officers period. There are better techniques that can be utilized. But that’s easier said than done.
