Great review John. In regards to the single column format what is your take on the Stridon and Treveris? If they were available in the NKJV, would they be editions that you’d be interested in? Also on the rebind, was the gutter space any different before the change in covers?

Great questions, Mike! I don't usually like verse by verse, but if I were to get one, I'd actually prefer it in double column! So if I could get a NKJV like the LSB double column, I'd probably pick that (though at that point I'd just stick to the Quentel).
The Treveris I'm super anxious to get in the NKJV! I think it's a perfect size font for a single column reader.
The gutter is actually comparable to that of the calfsplit edition...I believe the calfskin one lays even flatter but I've never held one in person, unfortunately. The NKJV clarions in calfskin aren't being printed anymore.

Thanks for the kind words, by the way! What's your opinion on single column?

@@WontonDisciple You’re welcome John. I grew up with double column and it’s what I’m used to so I prefer the 2 column layout in paragraph or VBV format. It’s funny since I read a lot of books and they are obviously single column, I guess we just get set in our ways. I’ve been reading some out of the Stridon and have also briefly read from the Heritage and Treveris. My favorite though is the Quentel. Keep up the great work John. You seem very knowledgeable and do an excellent job covering all the bases. I think your channel has great potential for growth. 👌👍

What do you think about this translation? It's cheap in the Kindle version.

This is actually my first time hearing about this translation so I have no opinion really. However, after a brief bit of research, I already know I wouldn't be a big fan of using Hebrew names in an English translation. The English bible is Anglicized for the sake of understandability in English, which I think is super important for the bible. Perhaps for someone familiar with Hebrew and with close ties to Judaism, it would be more of a benefit for them.
