Thanks for the video. My favorite English version of the scriptures is the ASV-1901. It's accuracy is legendary! It is as close to a "word for word" type translation that the English language has had. It is very close to the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. It is not perfect. All versions of the sacred writings have some weak spots. Nevertheless, the ASV is an excellent study Bible. One of its weak spots is the Elizabethan English that it uses. The old English is archaic but if a person can maneuver through it the ASV is extremely useful.
I went from reading the ESV to reading the ASV 1901 about 1.5 years ago, and I am really enjoy the older English. Sometimes I come across things that are harder to read and so I revert back to the ESV and say “ah, now I get it” and then go back to reading the ASV :)
