      @@SimplyShrimps I was just in my workshop looking at the vast colony of yellow sakura shrimp I have, would you like some to start off a new colony.I don't want anything for them just a good home which i know you will give them . I can see by your videos that you have a real passion for aquatics like myself and would like to help out like others have done for me. If you want you can get in touch with me on my facebook group Mark's Aquatics and private message me and we can sort things out. All the best Mark. 👍😀

    I'm trying to decide whether to use temporary plastic dividers in my tank, or have permanent sealed dividers?.

    • @SimplyShrimps

      Thanks. Removable ones are good if you change your mind but I prefer the fixed ones if you know you definitely want a divided tank.

    How close should the divider measurement be? Say a have a 12 inch wide aquarium, should I get the glass dividers cut to 12 inches if not how much less should I get it cut?

  • @RealyTrueMan
    @RealyTrueMan 5 років тому +1

    I wonder, how do you plan to put à filter on it ? Will it be a single for all dispite the divider or you will put a filter for every section ?

    • @BreezyBrickyard
      @BreezyBrickyard 5 років тому +1

      Betting sponge filters in each and the reason the dividers let water through is only to help water changes. If "simply shrimp" are going in them she screens must be small enough so they cant go through them.

    • @SimplyShrimps
      @SimplyShrimps  5 років тому +3

      Each section will have it's own sponge filter, so 4 filters per big tank. The dividers to allow water through means the water volume altogether is bigger and there for more stable :)

    • @RealyTrueMan
      @RealyTrueMan 5 років тому

      @@SimplyShrimps Thank you for the answer !
      can't wait to see the final result once it's all set up.
      The water going through was an other question 😊 It's good for stability Inde éd but I always worry about a disease that could spread across my tanks.

    What silicone did you use? The reason I am asking is that I have read that some are not designed or recommended to be used in a permanently submerged state. Not sure how true that is but at the same time I am not sure I would be brave enough to take a risk.
