You forgot to mention how in 1517 a German player discovered a large glitch in religious settings of the game, which he made use of to give himself backdoor access to the server config. It would make possible a new build with another set of collectibles related to religion. This player would become a leader of part of German guild, even finding supporters from other guilds such as Scandinavian, Dutch, or the Baltic ones. In the end, the devs couldn't fix the glitch (realising that this would permanently ban half of the player base), and most of the players were forced to a clean re-install after a 1618-1648 PvP session almost crashed the server.

These German players are always breaking the game, I remember one German player wrote a book angry on the fact that you could only play as capitalist economy, which let to some Russian guys who were followers of him to break the game's code and create the communist economy which crashed the Russian guild for a few years.
you forgot about the other ones that found that in areas of the less coded in eastern urope there was a glitch that allowed them to create new npc's to throw at enemies

Meh, it might seem like an impressive build, but even without intervention from the American guild the third Reich would have quickly imploded when the surrounding guilds were defeated. I believe quesionable decisions in the guild leadership would've lead to a crash in stability and administration in short order.

While the questionable decisions of the guild leadership would certainly be a big debuff, if the few competent guild seniors and captains could have access to the ressources they would have invested to fend off the american guild and actually min-max their logistics, they might have efficiently and effectively targeted the important oilfields in the caucasus of the soviet guild. That would not only alleviate some of their logistics problem but would also dealing a considerable blow to the soviet players. And depending on the degree of influence and help the american guild provides the GB and soviet guild, the germans would either ignore the british players (cause they lack ressources to actually be a threat) and do a better all out raid to the east or the german guild faces a bit more resistance and will have to admit to a undetermined ceasefire or stalemate.
Again this is only under the assumption that the american player base only provides help to a certain degree and that the few competent lead players have a bit more say and can negate the imcompetent ones.
(This is my first video of this channel and I'm not good with gamer, specifically the mmorpg jargon so I hope my comment wasn't too cringe and awkward)

Germany is a great nation. They're always tested through out the ages and yet they come and dominate time after time again and again. Even their people are some of the greatest minds of mankind, with the likes of Beethoven, Bach, Einstein, Max Plank, etc. It's just often overlooked by the bad image of that guy. But minus that part, you know they are among the greatest nations.
Many people don't get why we Germans are so focused on the Nazi-part of our history. We are ashamed of our dark nazi past because we know we could have done better like we have throughout history.
tbh, i feel like you should make this tierzoo-like content a series.

The version 19.46 patch had buffered Germany a lot by splitting its stats.. shame they went back as OP as before after update 19.89
At least the military remains nerfed even with the slight 100B€-Buff taken into the equasion

Nah, the release of the ukranian battleground has disrupted commerce between german and russian guilds, prooving how dependant german guild has become to russia.
It would be interesting to see you do more "Ancient" metas. Like Greece, China, India etc. These metas even influence today's meta to a large extent.

Epic video, but IMO the Frankish empire cannot be classified as fully Germanic or French. French culture didn't even *exist* yet (which itself is an amalgamation of latin & germanic culture in many ways), and the Frankish empire was very much heavily populated by *gallo-romans* (to-be French peoples) whilst being under... well, both germanic and roman laws were prevelant.
Idea: A TierZoo type video like this but for the Mongolia and how they got nerfed heavily in later patches
Remember that time where the mongols were by far not even close the strongest guild at the time and 2nd strongest in the games history
I'm curious about some of the other nation guilds.
One particularly fascinating one is how the USA guild managed to almost completely monopolize the North American server. They had a flying start, with the Thirteen Colonies' crazy high diplomacy even being able to pull in players from the European server to such a new and at that time, losing PvP match versus Britain. Especially when you realize how bad their stability and economy was due to the Articles of Confederation debuff. Even their military was weak for the first few years, as the Continental Army was so poorly motivated to join in raids and stick to a strategy. At least until the devs dropped the Minutemen and Valley Forge patches. Especially when Lafayette, von Steuben and Pulaski joined the guild, adding considerable military and diplomacy buffs. While George Washington's tenure as guildmaster would be a boring and quiet period for the whole North American server, you can see why the USA membership kept him in high regard, even after he cancelled his subscription and uninstalled the game due to external commitments.
I love the TierZoo format for this channel.

Jokes aside, as I grew up in a German-speaking part of the world we had a lot of history lessons regarding the 20th century back at school. Some focused on how fascism came to power, how authoritarian systems might work and also showed examples of civil courage in the many faces of evil. For some time it seemed to work and bring a peaceful and prosperous people to a growing Europe, but when I look at the rise of extremist political parties nowadays I'm not so sure that peace will be so everlasting and if the lessons are still taught thoroughly.
A country that isn’t cognizant of its history, filled with people who blindly and unquestioningly follow their nation will only doom it to repeat the mistakes of the past and cause even more atrocities

We’d like to, but some just take it way too far, so the rest of the population with reason takes a step back every time,
and I think that’s a good thing, to not be blindly nationalistic for one’s country, but to cherish its good sites while remembering the bad sites and trying your hardest to improve the lifes of everyone

Quick and well intentioned cristicism, it would make the guilds placed on the tier list more easily recognisable if they had the flags displayed inside the territory, instead of the black void. This would help a lot seeing the guilds normally inhabit the same biomes and the borders may not vary wildly. Also now there is no need to blur certain guilds flag seeing this video is done.

Ive been waiting for somebody to do a style of video like this. Tierzoo but with civilizations. Awesome video!
Just an idea: instead of having border changes be the "updates", the updates should be technological innovations and events not dictated by humans (pandemics for example.) The border changes should be done by the players themselves, competing for dominance.
I love this fucking tierzoo reference, hope this becomes a proper series in the future.

Sadly alot of germans only think about ww2 when they think of our history and feel shame, wich is sad as theres alot more to our history than just those terrible 12 years and we are ko more evil than other countries. Germans have every reason to be proud, im happy to be german!

Well, the third Reich was the most recent event in german history (excluding the Bundesrepublik and DDR) and was responsible for the largest and most horrific war and genocide in human history. It is quite normal for such an event to have a lasting impact, and im pretty sure that most germans acknowledge the great inventors, leaders and poets of our past, we just discuss them in a more monotone logical sence, rather than a emotional nationalistic one.

You should do this with other countries like the USA guild who started out as a break off of the British guild but eventually became so powerful that if they just told the developers that something was broken, they would patch it immediately.
So far, the only big nerf they recently got was "terrible leadership", making the guild choose between an orange who calls everyone a cheater and a guy who doesn't remember asking
It wouldn't surprise me if the American guild experiences violent fragmentation before the 21.00 update. Recently it's become difficult for me to count this internally deteriorating guild as a good ally in our rivalry with the Russian server.

It's not that Germany was too op is that France was literally completely extenuated after winning for almost 30 years of war during the revolutions to the Napoleonic wars just to lose once and lose everything, Germany after ww1 didn't lost even as close money, territory and population than France after the Napoleonic wars. Only France was supposed to fight off the Austrian Empire and the booming German population without Belgium nor the western flank of the Rhine not even with Northern Italy, indeed France military was still superior as they won ww1 but at the cost of not having enough young population 20 years later and a gigantic traumatism from war.

Also France basically lost ww2, they just had a weird French guy hanging around the allies long enough for Germany to lose. The legitimate government in France surrendered. Which is why the Americans in particular refused to recognize Free France for most of the war
No the legitimate government relocated to London after some old ww1 generals made a coup d'etat to sign an Armistice with germany, never been a question of surrendering either. Charlemagne’s grandfather may have been born in a latin speaking region, but their mother tongue was a Germanic one. Probably the ancestor to modern day Limburgish.
But yeah they weren’t German and they weren’t French. Those identities didn’t exist yet. It is putting the cart before the horse to claim such.
In terms of people though some West Germans, the Dutch and the Luxemburgish are the continuation of the Franks. With the Dutch probably being the most relevant one as they have kept the language of the Franks as well.
No Charlemagne always spoke Latin and Old French he never spoke any germanic language they were fighting the eastern germanic tribes and since the baptism of Clovis spoke only civilised languages @@sebe2255

You forgot the recent immigration event, one of the uncommon community made events, featuring mass switchung from the African server to European. German guild was the one to convince the devs to let that happen, overloading Europe server and pissing the devs to the point they nerfed the guild's stability strat, further damaged after the Russian Guild members started yet another pvp contest.
