    In Deutschland wird das anders gemacht ! Wir fahren am Brandort vorbei, je nach dem der wind ist, und stellen uns so auf das weitere Fahrzeug sich vor dem ersten aufbauen können.
    Der rest von eintreffen Einheiten baut sich hinter dem brandort auf. So das der brand in die Zange genommen werden kann, falls er größer wird.

    Love those triple lays! PITA when loading the hose beds, but dang they deploy fast. I miss those days.

      @@MrPursuitElectronics it is a ballpoint gooseneck or a fifth wheel gooseneck cuz if it's a fifth wheel gooseneck you can still hook up a gooseneck trailer to it on your bed of your pickup truck or flatbed truck same thing with a gooseneck style ballpoint hitch for Gooseneck trailers look it up

      Goose neck latches onto a ball pinned in the bed of the truck. A fifth wheel has a king pin that locks into the fifth wheel hitch. Two different hitches…dummy! I have the exact same trailer…just not a toy hauler!

      There are some long distances between fire fighting resources on both I-5 and I-15 in California. Most of the car/truck fires in those places result in the vehicle burning to the frame.

    First truck on seen the very first firefighter actually was putting water on fire by himself within minutes of arriving the other guy was just running back and forth doing absolutely nothing. He finally pulled his head out and eventually got another line on fire 10 minutes later 10 minutes seriously!!! Kudos to the first firefighter he was a true fighter going right to work

    My only grip strategically is why not start fighting the fire to first protect exposure (unburned part)? Other than that a great catch and video!!!

      trailer was a write off before they even arrived. They had an interstate shut down and wanted to get it extinguished asap. Typically you want to aim for the hottest part of the fire, there's also other considerations like gasoline or diesel that the truck was carrying.

    Wow two railroad crossings enroute if the back end of those long long trains in the US had held up Engine 910 at the first the locomotives could have held them at the second. Anyway the lines were clear. Good work guys now the guy has to pick up the pieces of what looked like a great rig set up. But best of all he was clear of the fire.

    Long way to fire, but other then the pickup truck not moving out of the way before jumping on highway you were moving good. Other then the truck and asshole passing you on the right, everyone else yielded in both directions. Also great use of the horn when approaching intersections and traffic. I've watch many videos and never understood why Engineers wouldn't honk in advance like you were doing. Some do, but see many that wait till last sec at intersection.

    As there were no clues in the description I was trying to guess the location. Based on the older houses near the beginning I was thinking Pennsylvania, maybe Ohio. Illinois was a bit of a surprise.

    Good thing second crew showed up as the first line would never have put out fire from that distance. Instead of the White hat holding the radio, he should have been helping his crewman! White hat does not give you an excuse to avoid work when you are running short crewed! T

      The white hat was doing his role of coordinating and keeping an overall view of the situation. He should not get distracted by becoming hands on unless to avert danger. Being distracted from his role could put the others in danger. They train as a crew and work as a crew, just as it should be. Your armchair criticism is ill-informed and unnecessary.

    looks like at least they were able to unhook from it assuming the semi tractor is what they were towing it with vs like a 1ton dually pickup

      Unfortunately it looks like that isnt the case, you can tell at 27:31 that there are what looks to be 2 sets of wheels and the vehicle was burnt down to the chassis, the semi truck was most likely a passer by who called it in.

      The foam and air was turned on in the wrong order so there was little to no foam in the line more air then anything.

    A while back a ladder truck blew through a very busy state highway intersection red stop light with no lights or sirens right in front of me. The fire engine was full of people and everyone of them was an idiot. Reckless AF!

      That's why we only use the siren when it is necessary on the highway , like in heavy or slow moving traffic . Studies have shown that sirens are ineffective at speeds over 70 mph

    Why do you use the electronic siren when you have a Q siren?
    Hi lo is a British siren mode.
    As a retired firefighter I didn’t over-run the siren.
    Used it sparingly

      an overheating engine rarely causes a fire. Most vehicle fires start due to leaking fuel, electrical malfunction, or the brakes.

    Why do Americans stop and move over when they're on the other side of the road? (Like at 0:34 and 2:02) I can understand letting off the gas but i don't see the point in completely pulling over and stopping when the truck is going in a straight line in the opposite direction

    Should make federal laws to where it should be illegal to pass any emergency vehicle enroute to a scene.

      Some states/cities/counties do have a law where it is illegal to pass, but most don’t, a majority of fire trucks like tankers, engines, ladders, and rescues are governed at 60-65 so there is no point to make it a law due to speed limits in some areas being 70-80.
