I'm still a Maidiac, but I'm now a "Bestie" as well. The words from this song really give meaning to friendship. Mohammed Ali once said, "If you don't understand the meaning of friendship, you understand nothing." What a wise saying! The Maids prove that to us everyday. This song is so uplifting and beautiful. Thank you Mike Einzinger and Band-Maid for giving this gem to us!!!!!
Kudos to Miku & Saiki. Miku's lyrics have always been excellent whether in Japanese or English and it is heartening to see her write an entire song in English to such great effect. Great to see them fearlessly experimenting with Mike Einziger and coming up with such a beautiful song: everyone's parts weaving together in that "Band-Maid doing Band-Maid" manner. Every instrument peeking out through the mix for a moment to shine. Kanami once again emphatically demonstrating how a guitar solo should be done.
I love MISA's playing... and Akane's... and Kanami's... and the recording is good, too! Miku's lyrics are heartfelt. "I can't look into your eyes." Is Saiki her bestie? But Saiki masterfully delivers her lyrics, as always. BTW - The volume of lyrics and nuanced melodies she's committed to memory over the years is simply mind-blowing! Mikey did good at giving them his direction for the song, and probably helped with the English lyrics -- a good growth for Miku's craft. I don't understand why Kanami said she couldn't have come up with the main riff. Probably just her being super polite, as usual. I like the groove and feel of the song. I was waiting for, "I don't give a f**k" at the end. But maybe with these particular "Bestie" lyrics, that wouldn't be such a good idea. Even though at first listen it felt on par with Start Over It will undoubtedly do what every Band-Maid song does -- grow on you. Got to break through to the mainstream market with a few cuts, right? Hopefully Bestie helps with that! Thx, Band-Maid! And thanks, B-Line!
Actually this is the second song Band-Maid has sung completely in english the first song was the dragon cries which i highly recommend you watch the music video for
Third song in English. "Don't Let Me Down" and "Dragon Cries" are both totally in English, but you probably wouldn't p8ck up on it right away as Saiki has a heavy accent when she sings.
@@armynurseboyWhile it behooves B-M to sound less inscrutable to the general global audience, I do really love the charming differences in pronounciation. It takes me back to being 13 and realizing that Brits say "garage" differently and that's why the lyrics work musically. I had the same thing with a Finnish band that pronounced "riot" as "ree-ott" and it was AWESOME.
How many bands have a "rhythm section" that add SO MUCH to a song. Thank you MISA and Kanami!!!!!

This is their third all-English song, the others being "Don't Let Me Down" and "The Dragon Cries."

it's like I'm in a hill under the tree looking far feeling the breeze while listening this that kind the feel....
Ohrenje has this sound with English lyrics. It is about the love from Miku to the other members. Some say to Saiki.

Added to the list!!! 🔥
Don’t forget about “Don’t let me down” though Miku didn’t write those now infamous Lyrics.

👍👍Excellent. Can not wait for the MV. 🖖❤
The official video will be from next months concert in Japan ? 🙏🏻
I think it's Miku's song to the other band members it's how she feels about them
This is the third song that all lyrics are in in English: i.e Don’t let me down, The Dragon Cries, Bestie.
It's English for the entire song! :D The first all-English lyrics written by Miku-chan
I am an old Japanes man. MIKU would be able to write all English lyrics and SAIKI would be able to sing in English. Anyway they are so talented.
Awesome reaction TBL by the way Miku Kobato wrote the lyrics, I really like this track cheers.
