    Why eat fruit or honey? whats the point? You only make your addiction to sugar even stronger. Just quit all sugar and carbs.

      My wife always have her stash of blue berries in the fridge and some bread and other carb stuff. I am already carnivore but there are times when I open the fridge and end up grabbing a few blue berries.
      I' feel like a child and I find it fun being able to get away from my own rules sometimes. :)

      Honey? to trigger insulin to take care of glucose your liver producing from protein. otherwise, you will have symptoms of diabetes one.

    People who are very thin should not be doing strict carnivore. Or lion diet.
    Especially if your trying to make serious gains in the gym. A few carbs go a long way. I am 6’5 and 180 pounds. I want to put on 20 pounds of muscle mass. So I need to eat at least 500 calories over what you usually have, which for me is 2500 calories a day. So I’m trying to get like 3,500 a day.
    And I need 260 -300 mg of protein a day to make gains. I can’t make my caloric intake on strict carnivore. I’m super active at 50 years old.
    Daily Yoga/meditation. Plus daily strength training routine.

    I've been in ketosis for 2 month since starting carnivore, apart from couple of days when I ate soured cream. It was a surprise for me because soured cream was 20% fat and no sugar

      People need to realize that we wing ourselves off of carbs as a Human probably around wisdom teeth showed up. Some of us has had damage to our bodies from high carb and this much sugar in our diet.

      Was it lactose free? Lactose is milk sugar too so sourcream might surprice negative way and have more carbs that you expect. Always check the lactose in dairy products.

    Had same thing with heart palpitation and AFIB, stop potassium, and magnesium take tea spun of honey after meal and more salt. You probably know 😊

    You got this. Ive been trying to get back into ketosis myself. Sugar is a hard one to quit

      Sugar is only hard to quit if you keep on consuming sugar.

    I drink alot of carbonated mineral water to keep up the minerals that i need. So as i drink that all the time as i am awake i only take vitamines and minerals straight as i wake up. But my point is that there wont come problems with electrolytes at all.
    I´ve been on keto now little bit over year. And still i usually wake at least once every night to urinate. But i don´t have problems to fell a sleep again. As being in ketosis and burning bodyfat even when you sleep causes that effect that when you burn that fat from your fat cells there is also water at those cells so that is the reason that why you need to urinate more.

    Where can I buy a kit to test if I’m in ketosis, I’ve been on carnivore now for 11 days, and I actually have no way of knowing other than the fact that I haven’t craved any sugar at all although I’ve had tremendous amount of body cramping and almost feeling faint on several occasions?

      You might want to watch Dr Boz who offers information on a ketogenic diet and the steps to change your metobolic state. Try electrolytes for muscle cramps and ketone strips to check your urine. Later in your jpurney, you may want to invest in a glucose and ketone blood monitor. I use keto-mojo and have been very pleased.

    I’m a 58 years young metabolically heathy male on OMAD carnivore since January 1st and have been feeling great, got energy, sleep well, take supplements and electrolytes as needed but am not in ketosis unless I fast. Currently doing 0 carb so cannot go lower than that feeling lean but still have 30 lb I’d like to lose and am debating do I NEED to be in ketosis for that? The month of January was adapting to carnivore and these last 2 months have been just trying to make carnivore part of my daily life.

    I have been doing the Paleo Medicina diet since last September. Question, I have trouble maintaining ketosis of level 2.0or more.
    When I had my daily meetings with them they kept telling me to eat less meat until I was down to 400 g of ribeye steak per day,
    however I’m very active and athletic and 400 g of meat is simply too little when I’m exercising a couple of hours a day (i’m not obsessive. I just like to go out paddle boarding or mountain biking andI end up spending the day outside moving around and so I’ve increased my Meat to between 500 to 1000 g per day.
    Recently, I’ve tried to keep my protein to 500 g and just increase the amount of fat. But I remain in ketosis between 0.5 and 1.0.
    Do you have any suggestions for me and other very active people like me?
    I’d like to keep my ketosis at 2.0 because I have rheumatoid arthritis like you. I actually have experienced a complete relief from any symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, but I do worry that I’m not doing everything I should because I’m can’t seem to maintain ketosis level of 2.0.

      Julie, what would you attribute to your RA symptoms relief? Just carnivore? I'm trying to overcome my RA symptoms.

      Hi Julie, I’m also trying to put my RA in remission. I am doing PKD for 3 weeks. I am still having diarrhea with 2:1 fat to protein ratio. 1:1 I can handle but I’m slowly trying to get my fat to 2:1.
      How long did it take for your RA symptoms to mostly go away. I have no improvements yet after 3 weeks
