    Thank you so much for sharing your story! I have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism as well, and have had a similar (negative) experience with doctors. Changing my diet and taking supplements has helped tremendously. My health has improved but some symptoms are still lingering. The naturopath I was seeing two years ago never tested my gut health, and I will definitely do it as soon as possible. Thanks again!

    You aren’t being stubborn you just don’t want to put harmful medicine in your body I’m the same way my doctor told me that I was one of the most difficult patients she Ever had because I would read and do my research on medicine that she prescribe for me and bring it back and say oh no I can’t take that because of the side effects or what it was made from please don’t let any doctor or anyone force a medication on you because it could possibly hurt you or damage the inside of your body you should try herbal medicine

    My primary care doctor argued with me and got really defensive when I said I read hashimotos and hypothyroidism are different. She didnt even want to give me a referral to a specialist. The nurse practitioner had to refer me one I told her the naturopathic doctor said my hashimotos is getting worse

    Alot of thyroid meds do not work on Auto Immune Hash. You basically have to fix all the other issues plus put a decoy in your body so your anti bodies attack that and not your actual thyroid. Its horrible I have it and i am struggling big time. It becomes worse if you get pregnant or if you go into menopause. Glad you have a naturopath.

      Hashimotos fluctuates up and down between hypo and hyperthyroidism in the beginning. Eventually your thyroid will not function bcs your immune system will keep on attacking your thyroid until no longer functioning. That happened to me. Once I started thyroid medicine Tirosin started from lower dose and slowly increased until I was feeling better. Than that’s the only thing that helped me. I’m staying away from gluten and dairy and soy. That helps to keep your immune system from attacking your thyroid more. I tried natural thyroid medicine and it made my Hashimotos worse. It’s not for everyone.

  • @_Hello_4444
    @_Hello_4444 11 днів тому

    What are your thyroid levels today without taking levothyroxine? I agree with you to an extent but nothing will help your body make t4 because it’s produced in the thyroid gland itself. One your thyroid is scarred and destroyed from the attack/inflammation, it has killed tissue that creates this t4 which then converts to the active form t3 for your tissues. Even with a holistic approach your body needs adequate t4 replacement for many metabolic processes. No supplement will create t4 for you, besides your thyroid, or taking t4 therapy. You can take supplements as thyroid support however. Also liver support to aid the conversion of t4-t3. If you don’t get adequate t4 (and t3) you will always have hormonal imbalances and metabolic problems. You can fix your gut as well but you cannot replace the dead thyroid tissue which is the only gland that makes thyroid hormone itself.

I have recently in the last month given up gluten, dairy, sugar and never eat soy before anyway. However, I do eat eggs which are dairy, are you allowed to eat eggs, or shoukd I give them up to make me completely dairy free?

      TheJazzie87 AIP helped! But I only did it for 2 months. My biggest suggestion is to try it or at least stop eating gluten, dairy, soy. Those are huge in causing inflammation.
      2nd tip is to take something for adrenal support. I take something called loving energy by a brand called hooray. It’s helped my anxiety.
      3rd tip is to meditate and do some light exercise, like go for a walk daily or yoga. Helps you feel better but also helps with joint pain.
      Talk to your doctor first before taking anything. But cutting out gluten really lowered my TPO levels. Thank you for watching my videos! Wishing you luck on your healing journey ❤️❤️❤️

    • @AdairaWellness
      @AdairaWellness  4 роки тому +1

      Cassie G. Took a while. Many things can contribute to anxiety.
      Silver fillings (if you have them, get removed by a biological dentist. For a safe removal, and with doctors permission)
      Fluoride in water (get a good water filter, I use berkey with fluoride add ons)
      Make sure your taking a good multivitamin.
      Sleep helps soooo much!!! Eating in the morning helps. Lavender essential oils help too!! (Make sure it’s high quality and organic) Test for gut infections, I took a GI map test from my naturopathic doctor. But you could also checkout Organic Olivia’s website for their parapro cleanse (helps get rid of parasites or other gut infections) she also has stuff for anxiety, probiotics.
      When I cut out gluten it helped, and eat to fuel your body. Healthy fats, meats, veggies. Reduce sugar & caffeine intake.
      Of course talk to your doctor first, but these things helped me. Sending you good vibes, I hope you feel better soon 💗

      Hi! I’ve had Hashimoto’s since November 2021. Demand to always have your TSH/ free t4/free t3 and total t3. Do this every time you check in with your levels to have consistent baselines and records. Go gluten free. Consider going dairy free but it’s not necessary if it’s not inflammatory to you. EXCERCISE moderately, don’t over do it multiple days a week as this causes inflammation . Get proper sleep. Stay hydrated. Focus on anti inflammation. Take turmeric and Omega 3 fish oil. Demand your vitamin D (so crucial) and selenium levels checked. Vitamin D should be at least 60. Ensure your ferritin level is at least 60-80. Support your liver. Limit alcohol. Support your gut! Ensure you have proper gut microflora, get a gastroenterologist if you can. Anyway, it’s very overwhelming and I’m sorry. I hate having this. It will affect you if you don’t have optimal thyroid levels. Optimal is dependent on how you fell but should typically be in the upper 2/3rds of the reference range for your hospital. You may also get flare ups if you are stressed or get sick. Although it sucks, you can manage it. I wish you the best! 😊 3 years of trial and error/research and still going. Stay strong.

      HEADBANGRR my bald spot took about 2 months to start growing back. My labs are better but they aren’t normal yet. I am in the processes of starting a heavy metal detox in hopes of getting my levels in normal range. Ok. I'm asking because I went on the AIP diet for 2 months. At the end of those 2 months my labs came back perfectly normal. THANK GOD! I was shocked! I say continue to eat healthy, find ways to manage your stress through going for a walk going to a workout class or meditating. Make sure you are taking the right supplements to make sure your getting enough nutrients. Of course consult your doctor first before anything. But I really believe your hair will grow back! Just takes time to heal!!! Feed your body great nutrient rich foods and manage your stress levels. Hi Adaira, are you taking any thyroid medications to help with your Hashimoto’s. Asking as I’m not on taking any thyroid medications but I see that my symptoms are worsening. I was on Aip since June and last month when I tried to do a reintro of rice, it went very badly and I have had brain fog and migraines for more than 2 weeks. Even my food sensitivities have gone through the roof, I’m unable to eat any solid food except carrots and cucumbers. I have been to 7 doctors so far but most of them think I’m delusional when I say that rice made be feel even worse. Did your functional practitioner provide any thyroid medications apart from the supplements that has helped you in healing?

    • @AdairaWellness
      @AdairaWellness  5 років тому +2

      Div rice caused me to have brain fog too! Try eating avocados and lean meats and veggie stir fry with olive oil. Try to make sure you are eating enough everyday and incorporating different foods even if they aren’t AIP, remember to listen to your body. Make sure your taking a high quality multivitamin and consult your doctor on taking a food sensitivities test. Most conventional doctors won’t do it so you’ll have to see a holistic or functional doctor or you could order one yourself online.
      Also AIP isn’t for everybody and remember to listen to your body. So if you need to break the diet or reintroduce foods to feel better do so. Do what you think is best for your body. The reintroduction phase is hard because you must do it slowly so you can see how your body responds.
      I do not take thyroid meds. I am taking black seed oil supplements as a natural antibiotic to see if it will treat my gut infections. Which my doctor believes are the root causes of my hashimotos.
      If it doesn’t help I will consider taking the thyroid meds if my blood work isn’t better. But I FEEL SOO MUCH better!!!
      I also take a lot of supplements to support my thyroid and tested my vitamin deficiencies to know what vitamins I needed to take.
      Consult your doctor before taking any supplements or changing your diet. I hope you feel better ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ if you ever need to vent I’m here.

      Adaira Al Mosrati thank you so much for the detailed information and support, Adaira! I appreciate it so much! I’m still on the lookout for a good doctor as the endocrinologists I have seen don’t even mention Hashimoto’s despite my antibodies being high. Several of them have dismissed food sensitivities when I have brought it up. Hoping that I get some accurate diagnosis and help as just diet without supplements is getting challenging.
      I’m so grateful for your videos, I keep coming back to it from time to time to remind myself that there are many others going through this and your journey gives me hope💗
      I’m hoping to cure my hashis naturally too as the doctors in my country just prescribe the thyroid medication and assume that’s the end of the issue, none that I have seen believe that there is a gut connection related to thyroid or the brain fog and other symptoms I experience.

    • @AdairaWellness
      @AdairaWellness  5 років тому

      Div yes there is HOPE! I’m proof of that! Hashimotos is a beast because there are so many factors of what could be the root cause. But maybe research in your area who would be a great natural path, functional, or holistic doctor who has helped hashimotos patients.
      Even if it’s an online doctor you could skype, and they can at least guide you to the right info and tests.
      I felt frustrated too in the beginning because I didn’t know what the hell was happening! But beinging able to talk to a doctor who cared and actually had different approaches based on my values and views. Who was open minded and wanted to learn more on ways to beat hashimotos naturally. I really admire doctors like that rather then the ones that just want to medicate you the rest of your life. I know in some cases it’s necessary, but I just knew there had to be another way!!!! Different protocols then medication for life.
      I hope you check out the website I linked before that lady is the sweetest and provided soooo much research and knowledge on hashimotos so I think you will find hope in finding your root cause by referring to it.
      I’m so glad that you enjoyed my videos that makes me sooooo happy ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ sending youuu good vibes and hope you find the answers your looking for!!!!!

      Adaira Al Mosrati thank you so much! You are a sweetheart 💗. Yes, I am reading Isabella wentz’ book Hashimoto’s protocol now. I am on the lookout for a good functional doctor in my area (not many in my country). It’s so important to have a doctor who understands you during this process and I’m so grateful that there are resources like your channel for people like me who have not found a good doctor who is caring and understands our needs. Thank you for the links and resources, they have helped me immensely.
      Would love to see an update on this video. Do consider making one to let us know how the journey going for you :)

      Div yes!! I’m supposed to get my blood drawn next week to check if the herb antibiotics is fighting my gut infections. Fingers crossed it’s lowering my thyroid antibodies and TSH. I feeel sooo much better but blood work can sometimes say something else! So I will make an update and let you know.
      My doctor mentioned if we don’t see results from this then I might have to do another protocol and look into a gene mutation. Possibly go on thyroid meds to stabilize my blood work. But I’m hopeful that this is working and I am better because my symptoms have lessened!!! (I don’t want to take thyroid meds but I’m keeping an open mind and trusting my doctor to see if we can try other protocols)
      So I will definitely let you know and make an updated video. You keep me posted as well❤️❤️❤️
