I really liked your review of it. One thing i am stillleft wondering... Aren't the ergonomics of the shutter bottom a bit strange/awkward? Looks a bit harder to reach since it follows a good design and everything is flat on top.
Looks like a long click on the shutter triggers video capture - not burst. Just as a long touch on screen. On models later than X, you have to swipe left to trigger burst photos.. But it should work on models X and earlier.
I'm so glad you mentioned moment cases and lenses. I have an iPhone SE that I use to shoot video. I use moment case and lenses. Was looking into a simple hand grip to give a more camera feel like this grip is overkill! In a good way tho!
Nice video! it cover all the features! I just received the product and the bluetooth control is working as a zoom adjustment and not for taking pictures! any idea how i can fix this?
Thanks @danilo dos Anjos That sounds strange. It sounds more like a problem with how bluetooth is implemented on your device. Perhaps try re-paring the bluetooth and check the bluetooth behaviours in settings in your app or on your device?
@@TheTechPacker There should be a setting on the phone to make the volume control keys act as shutter instead of zooming. Change it and it should work. I am waiting for delivery of my Shutter Grip 2.
Start the video record manually first - then turn it off. The bluetooth remote will now know the start/stop function you are trying to trigger. Hope that helps.
HI! What's the delay on the shutter button (if there's any) ? Because I am returning the Adonit qi for that reason. I really like the qi grip and that it charges the phone wireless, but i can't stand the shutter delay. So with all the smart features of this shuttergrip, if the shutter button doesn't respond snappy enough, it does render everything else a bit pointless, for when I need the grip.
i would say there is little lag, but it can sometimes take a while to 'wake' the connection if it has been idle for a while. So you need to watch out and prepare for that.
@@TheTechPacker Thanks, so not something that can be used easily for street photos, which is when i mostly need a grip. It's very sad, because with a proper grip this phone would be great for that.
Thank you asebastianodelleva for your question and @TheTechPacker for your honest response. I have owned every grip on the market. (ShiftCam Pro and Snap Grips, Ulanzi, GGrip, Fjordenand a few others) The only one that I have never missed. shot with due to Bluetooth Connectivity issues is the ShiftCam Pro Grip. But it’s the largest and most obtrusive of them all. (and there shutter button needs improvement) What I have been using most of the time is a few different non-bluetooth grips to hold the 15 Max in my right hand, and a Joby Impulse Bluetooth Shutter release in my left hand, or on a lanyard. It. Never.Fails. I wish Shiftcam would make the SnapGrip with the same bluetooth equipment as the ProGrip and it would be about as good as it gets. Greg Williams’ GGrip is great but the bluetooth sucks. Thank you for your comments.
A bit late to comment but here's some honest criticism of the editing: Your face looks great and i have no issue with it but PLEASE don't talk about features of a device for several minutes while showing a statically framed video of yourself talking. I literally got itchy hands from it. Maybe it's cause i drank a lot of coffee so i am oversensitive but still... Some detraction man. We've got a short attention span xD. Otherwise very detailed. and nicely presented... Just mix those shots.
I have an Osmo 3 too - but I barely use it to be honest. I like that I’m this is so light and simple, I can use it on a tripod and I can hook up a mic and lights easily if I need to too. Pretty good with that remote shutter to start and stop video too
Yup - I’m sure there will be copies around soon. But if you can’t wait, I think this is good product. That shipping doesn’t seem so bad to me. It might not be so fast right now though.

Looks a bit harder to reach since it follows a good design and everything is flat on top.
Personally, I find it fine - but I'm not spending too long when out on photo-taking opportunities
Thank you for your reply.
If you are still using it, how tonyou find its long term usability and durability?
I’ve just ordered one after watching your video. What microphone do I order please to slip into the shoe on the grip? Thank you
Does this shutter support burst shooting on the iPhone?
Looks like a long click on the shutter triggers video capture - not burst. Just as a long touch on screen. On models later than X, you have to swipe left to trigger burst photos.. But it should work on models X and earlier.

Does it work with a case on it or any phone??
Works with phones via Bluetooth, and yes with a case, so long as doesn't add too much to width for a very wide phone.

Have you seen a grip with a zoom function too?
I haven't - are you looking for one?
@@TheTechPacker Yup. I've seen the Shiftcam Progrip, which has those functions, but it starts from $150 and that's way too much
@@ZedsTechTips yeah that’s a lot of of cash for a grip
When U move shutter button to click with thumb U have bar going across screen. Does it rotate around so U can see screen with no obstruction?
Thank you for another excellent review!
My pleasure - thanks for commenting!
Hi please tell me is working ⏸ start video the remote control
Thank you

I wonder if you need to take your phone out of the otter case first?
You don't @Dave Fink - the clamp jaws open pretty wide indeed!
Can you share your experience now -- after you use it for long time?
Are all the joints still strong and functional?
Nice review, but this seems like one of those times when a product does to many things and that makes me concerned about it being reliable over time.

Thank you for you insight into this situation.🎉
Looks great But Its £118 on Amazon uk
Cheaper direct just-mobile.com/products/shuttergrip2?variant=31892664451114
I would've been in if there was a rechargable lithium battery, but disposable batteries are a nope from me.
Fair enough
Very versatile! Love the review! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks @carlosstucho - appreciate it!
I didn't even know about this! Thank u for review! 🙏
No problem - glad you found it useful @MARY KLE : creative chaos
I have a complaint...the round button thing easily comes off and the battery falls out.
That’s unfortunate. Mine has been pretty secure so far ...
Did you use a coin to secure it?

Thanks - I hope, if you watch any of my more recent videos, you've seen I've done that! Cheers for the feedback though :)
Might have to pick this one up Sarb! I can never hold my phone properly for video without my DJI Osmo 3 gimbal

Sarb Johal 35usd for the Jm . 20usd for the shipping. ... i prefer wait
Woah - sorry, I misread you. I thought you said $5 for shipping. That’s pretty steep. It wasn’t that expensive to NZ when I bought it on Kickstarter!
Sevenoak psc1 you can find at half price shipped. NO btooth though.
The Bluetooth and cold shoe are the best features. You can get ones without these much cheaper
yep bought a cheap one and now wished I had spent the extra money
Speak on background and show more the product, for a review is not good this video.
