    What is your financial viewpoint of going as a military officer and later transitioning to a post MBA career like consulting?

    Hi Sean, I'm looking into possibly selling some Pokémon cards, I got quite rare and some expensive cards, at least I think. How would I go about selling them?

      I would say find buyers in your locality first or find references and build a network

    i've run into a number of videos like this lately from youtubers whose word i do really trust. that goes for this video too. love the content you make. however, i find a lot of them have the first step being very difficult to actually achieve. you mention a high paying job as one of the first steps. the second to be exact. great...except to get a job like engineering you almost always need a degree and that simply isn't always accessible. i know it's not for me. i can't afford to go to school and get an engineering degree. especially not in the US. i'm known as the most frugal person among my group of friends. i rarely spend my money and yet i still don't have the funds to go get the prerequisite to get that high paying job to create the foundation you speak of. i really respect the advice, but i think to say to people to just go get a decent paying job is not that simple. it causes people, like myself, to get stuck in the earliest parts of these plans to success. to some, maybe even most, that just isn't in the cards.

    • @seanlovesrealestate
      @seanlovesrealestate  4 місяці тому

      That's a really good point and I'm glad that you brought that up. In your situation, you could look into getting a job that has a commission based component to it, i.e. sales. A lot of people that I know (myself included) have made a ton from these types of positions (real estate agents, mortgage loan officers, insurance officers) and you don't need a degree to qualify.
      The downside to getting a job like this is that it requires a lot of effort to really start getting consistent business.

    • @approximatelysomebody
      @approximatelysomebody 4 місяці тому

      Right, but getting a job like that is not that simple. Every commission-based job i have found has either not wanted to take someone on with no experience or does not offer good rates for commission. @@seanlovesrealestate

    Dude I just don't what to do or start with, I'm just 15 years old but I'm stressing out what to do, I've been thinking of freelancing, what you think? Do you think copywriting with ai?

    • @seanlovesrealestate
      @seanlovesrealestate  4 місяці тому

      Tbh, I don't think copywriting with AI is going to be that lucrative because in a few years it might be common to have AI write everything for us anyway (for cheap).
      It might be better to learn sales or a hard skill such as engineering (and computer science).
      Since you're young, you have a lot of time to learn and get into a good school.
      Alternatively, it'll be good to read some books or watch some videos (like mine 😊) to learn how money works and how to grow your wealth by investing.

    Which of these still work if I'm not living in the US?

    • @seanlovesrealestate
      @seanlovesrealestate  4 місяці тому +1

      I'm pretty sure all of these work if you don't live in the US, just some are less effective than others (i.e. real estate laws in some countries might make buying properties less attractive than other forms of investing)

    Thanks for criticising the college hate-train, it always annoyed me to death.
    One rental property, more on the way, $200k in stock and alts investments, and got it all thanks to my undergrad + W2 job.
    I've had people look me in the face and tell me my degree is useless, he said as his plan was to start a lawn care company... LOL.

      I had a great time in college and some of my friends have become multi-millionaires from the jobs that they got out of college (they joined the right companies and got some really great stock options from them).
      College isn't for everybody and isn't a guarantee for success (especially if your major doesn't have great job prospects) but I think it's a great foundation for your own growth as an adult.
      That being said, many of the people that I know don't even work in the same field as their major anymore 😅
