@@oluaeb5577 More technical optimization & higher scores. Come on. Don't tell me that any speedrun tricks for hitting the(typically) harder-to-reach Warp Goals wouldn't be satisfying! If anything, sure, some of them were hit, because they were easily accessible for speedruns, like Launchers & Coin Slots, but still! What about the more annoying ones, like Randomizer & Pro Skaters?
Holy crap. To call this a masterpiece would be a massive understatement! This has given me new motivation to start playing Deluxe again! Sieve left me struck completely dumb. It baffles me how some of these strats are thought of in the first place. AMAZING work to everyone who worked on this TAS! You all did a phenomenal job!
Holy crap that was awesome! So many frames that I didn’t think existed, so many frames I didn’t think were possible, and even seconds I couldn’t imagine being done! Pro skaters, hoppers, and combination come to mind on frame grinds, while alternative, invisible, and tower were some huge second breaks I didn’t see coming! I really popped off at some new strats like sliders and obviously sieve, that was insane! This is by far the most optimized SMB2 TAS, well done to all!
That was absolutely bonkers. Can definitely see the hours upon hours of work poured into this project, and seems like the outcome was definitely worth it. Every stage here was a roller coaster to watch, but if I had to pick favorites they would probably be Curve Bridge, Hoppers, Giant Comb, Arthropod, Spiral Bridge, Sieve (obviously), Orbitters, and Gimmick. I had to really cherry pick in order to keep this list from being 50+ stages lmao, so that def shows how awesome this TAS is. Stellar work peeps! (>^-^)>
what a treat i tried that sliders idea several times with rapid pausing to see if it worked but i couldn't get anything i knew pro skaters was beatable! my obstacle strat idea from like 10 years ago actually works! i called 50 invisible before it happened. i didn't think my run should be as close to the old tas as it was
The video's 25 and a half minutes long but I spent 40 minutes watching it through because I kept rewinding to see stuff multiple times. Good shit, definitely one of the best TASes I've ever seen!
I've made a lot of Marble It Up TAS so I love seeing the similarities and differences in the mechanics. I really appreciate the skill and creativity it took to put this all together!
@@The_Soul_King Oh! Is it similar to how backwards acceleration is applied to characters to make them stop when you let go of a stick, and in some games you could abuse that?
Okay, this run was just absolutely fucking nuts as a whole. But. WOW Sieve was just the wackiest, wildest strat and jaw dropping that the time left was 50:XX
I have no idea how I arrived this late to the party. But the whole run was fanTAStic! (I know, obvious pun is obvious) I can tell that this must have taken a very long time to optimize. Also that Sieve strategy was out of this world! My jaw would drop if this was possible in real-time.
hey sry most of your tas looks really good but i don't get what's happening on 2-1 ranks where it looks like the tas goes for the goal and misses(?) is this what is happening and if so why?
On 2-1 we take advantage of what the game allows as a goal. Termed "Ripping the Goalpost" we get close enough to the tape to break the edge of it while going through the goalpost (not consistent and requires speed, but can save frames). This also occurs on a few other stages like 4-1 and 9-4. This can be done in real time, and is really easy on a few levels (such as 6-4).
4:31 and 16:08 are my "wtf is he doing?" picks
No arguments, on either. I'd be saying the same.
We really got blessed with the best TAS of all time
why do u want to see warp goals in story mode???@@ShiningSilvally

They said SMB2 was mostly glitchless, but the amount of weird goal collision I'm seeing abused here is crazy.
that’s not a glitch, that’s just how the game was made
Not a glitch

Non-stop surprises and sexy finishes in this TAS, bang-up job from the entire team!
This is the Gonquai character development we needed
Amazing, that is definitely why I love the Speedrun community
This is easily the best TAS I have ever seen. Excellent work Gonquai, Blendra, Silverboxer, and Taru!
Excellent work! Some really impressive new strategies here.
This must of took a long time, so many cool new strategies and frame grinds, this was awesome holy cow!
Most impressive and entertaining Speed TAS I’ve ever seen. Excellent work.
Great work on this TAS guys. So impressive to watch.
This is by far the funniest TAS run I’ve ever seen
Just…wow. The things that can be done with this game (and a TAS).
16:12 HOW WAS THAT EVEN A THING?!
In this clip, the TAS is abusing the speed generated by the collisions to go very fast, like a Pinch in Rocket League

An amazing watch
This whole tas feels like you're just pressing random buttons on the controller hoping you get lucky and it goes in
Nice to see the GOAT is still active. Good shit Gonquai!!!
It's been over a year and this tas still slaps
16:13 Excuse me
WUT
I almost spat out my dinner upon seeing Launchers. and my jaw hit the floor on seeing Corkscrew. Great work, all!
This run was so broken i loved it
Peta: Please stop the torture of tiny chimpanzees inside plastic balls
i just finished this game right now on dolphin & so i was like , why not watching a TAS video of this game....
*i wasnt ready*
No Aiais were hurt in the making of this TAS
This came out of nowhere i wish i was 2 weeks early-
Thank you and the others for this TAS!

23:00 Stage was absolutely mind blowing 🤯

Holy cow this guy got the top 5 pro gamers of this game
this blew my mind. All of world 7 was nuts
man, never played this but saw a video of a rap samples that had this and i’m here
I hope this gets as much views as all the other TAS videos
(Also separate upload with the continuous world music code plz sir?)
So this taught me you can beat this game if you’re blind. It might take several attempts, but definitely possible
This is a tool-assisted speedrun.
Yes that is what a TAS is
Cool
this TAS guy is pretty good
This needs more recognition…
It’s too quiet here
goated

First SMB Adventure Tases, then this
You da man!
sieve was ok
The longest stage was the loading screen.
The most difficult(time consuming) stage…"ZIGZAG SLOPE"
2:32-2:43 was absoulutely crazy
Edit: i just realized this is tas lmao
bead screen was CRAZY
On 1-4 I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT EXISTED
1:19
worst part about this run is that you don't get to hear the clocktower theme kick off at any point
ahahaha what the fuck is that giant comb how do you even manipulate that many speedbumps
OBSTACLE?????
this tas is fucking unbelievable.
10/10 you folks. i honestly didn't expect so many amazing new strategies and optimizations - this was such a treat to watch
now this is epic

ok guy
3:03 HUH????
The run is not glitchless
Amazing tas are any more in the works and is it difficult to get into?
I love you gonquai
why does going up the side at the beginning of the beginning levels make you faster?
Swaying back and forth builds up speed faster than moving straight ahead every time
@@xAbsolution1 but why?
@@bingusbongus9807 i dont know why! Something about how slopes increase your acceleration faster than just holding up.

@bingusbongus9807 just watch any super monkey ball 1 or 2 speedrun tutorial, they will tell you why in the video
