In the sequel to Super Monkey Ball (tasvideos.org/2..., you must once again guide a monkey trapped inside a plastic ball to the goal in each stage by tilting the game world. New features include mechanics like portals and more complex level designs, which in a speedrun, lead to some really interesting routes.
In this TAS, the authors skip all the easy levels and warp to the Expert stages, where they proceed to tear through all 50 levels as well as the 10 Master and 10 Master Extra stages, breaking many of the heavily optimized console world record times.

I've never said "what the fuck" more while watching a speedrun before.
This soundtrack is nuts! Instantly makes me think of Sonic DX’s soundtrack and Nights! Absolutely love it
The SMB series always did have the best speed runs.
Plus SMB2 was the only game I know that made music and stages about a washing machine so lit.

7:57 seeing this level beaten so easily is so cathartic considering its the hardest stage in the remaster collection to avoid the bananas in in that rotten banana mode
I've always wondered if anyone's ever done a TAS that doesn't use the shortcuts. Think it'd be neat to see all the levels that usually get skipped
You mean the ones without the goals that skip stages right? I'm sure someone has made an all stage TAS I've seen regular runs of them on SMB1 before

One of my all-time favorite TASes ever, and that list includes SMB2: Six Golden Coins and Yoshi's Island 100%.
It is very similar to an old PC game that used to play except it was a penguin and it was called 3D snowball run or something
