That is an ingenious repair! Absolutely brilliant! I had a Wind Raider as a kid, and I remember the wings were such a weak point, I lost count of the amount of times it got glued, but a fun toy (as with all MOTU toys). You never fail to impress. Great job
Nice fix Dave! Definitely agree not trying to open up the body, better to have a displayable piece that doesn't work, than have an undisplayble piece that does!
I watched this video when it was new, and was very excited to try this repair, but life got in the way. I've only JUST finished it today, and it looks amazing. Thank you so much for this, my busted old Wind Raider is sky worthy (and display worthy) thanks to you!
Now its been many years since I've seen my windraider, (it's still in my mom's attic) but I remember that skull/head piece popping off mine pretty easily. Mine also has a broken anchor rope.
Thank you for your great show. Recently I have found a way to get a new cord to the winch. You need a bended wire to glue the cord to the outside of the reel. If you look inside the Wind Raider you can see the reel (white) with a circumferential notch. This is the place were you have to glue the cord. The if the glue bonds wind the cord 1 1/1 times.
Thanks for all the hard work you put into making these videos. I look forward for them all the time. Will we ever get to see the toy polloi collection and display.

Nice restoration. The wings on mine from when I was a kid, the wing itself cracked rather than the pegs , so I'm not sure how to fix that. Also I was thinking that instead of attaching the hook to the skull piece, would it work to maybe glue the string onto the front wheel and as it rotates it winds it back up around the spoke. Just a thought. Awesome vid!
Oh...ok.....I didn't know you did that.......That's awesome.......I restore Hot Wheel Vintage Redline cars from 1968.....watching your videos are remarkable.....how your able to put them back together.....GREAT JOB...keep up the Awesome work.....
Hi Toy Polloi! Thanks for the awesome videos! A question: do you have a fix for the cracked wind raider wings? These often crack over time on the leading edge in the middle of the wing. Thanks!!
Also, unless your screws are cheap (as he calls them in the comments section here), you might want to consider some grub screws instead. They come with no head.
While I think of it do you have any body parts arms and legs specifically for African-American colored Migo figures I've got a Planet of the Apes figure where the body I forget if it's wonderful arms and one leg is broken I've got the outfit in mint condition and been trying to find a couple arms and legs. I'm also looking for a leg for a 12-in Migo. Thought I'd see if you had any of that stuff in your parts been.
Hey Dave - got a link to those exact KNEX rods? The colours on eBay seem to look off, but it may just be the photos. Don't want to risk getting the wrong shade.
Hi David. I just found this vídeo and I have 3 Wind Raiders with this problem. I have a doubt, I`m portuguese and I have tried to found thoose connects rods but I cannot found any match in portuguese for them...Can you give me a hand on it? What are exactly thoose Connect rods and what real use they had? Any clue to see if I can found it here in Portugal would be great. Thank you since now for any help and please, keep up this vídeos, they`re the best I have seen in this area of colecting!
Hey Dave, I know on other vids you posted that you are into Action Man. Any chance of seeing a restoration of one of the old vintage Action Man vehicles, say the Chieftan Tank for example ??
hello.. love your videos and as a recent MOTU fan looking forward on refurbishing. the repair that you do on the wing was on the connecting peg, but im seeing a lot of wind raiders on ebay that the wing is broken on the spine further down the peg ...something like i.ebayimg.com/images/g/fzwAAOSw9SFbb7oD/s-l1600.jpg . what can you suggest to repair it? thanks
I would have cut the rod to size, made the holes on the Wing raider slightly larger and passed the rod through the body of the vehicle to connect the wings. However (like you said) this works fine for display.
Its kind of sad. Even though the toy was restored very well, the sticker that said booster probably meant something to some kid, as well as some of the other stickers that toy polloi has removed.. still, great video
Glad you were able to take these broken wings and learn to fly again, learn to live so free.
GamerWho
I see what you did there,Mister...Mister.
And when we hear the voices sing
The book of love will open up and let us in
As the Toy Jesus website now appears to have gone completely. I have added the sticker sheet to toypolloi.com
There's nothing like starting the day off with Toy Polloi.
Ha ha. Makes friday worth waiting for I hope! Have a great weekend!
I always look forward to a new video
You too!

You are absolutely a toy genius. Oh how I enjoy your videos. Especially the repair videos.
Excellent fix on those wings, looks like a good color match and a strong fix.

Just found my MOTU vintage toys in storage. Thinking I might just fix my wind raider! And Skeletor's legs lol. Great channel! Keep them coming.

It really breaks the Heart to see a broken Toy, but thank the Toy Maker we have you to give us hope in restoring our Toy imaginations.. 👍👍
Great video!! Now I want to buy only broken toys....and save lot of money!! Haha :D
If only I still had mine. This was great!
Bravo! Great fix, Dave!
Brilliant
Cool project!
If your any good at paint detailing maybe you should try painting and detailing the wind- Radier?
YES! thank you very much, i was about asking you to fix this motu toy, thank you very very much

K'nex rods. Normally a few sellers on ebay have them. Cheers
Hi, Toy Poiloi.......I was wondering, is there a video of all of your restorations? I would love to see it....Thank you...and Great work....
Hey, Not so far. A lot of what I have restored I don't own anymore as I sell them on for charity. I only keep the odd bits.
Oh...ok.....I didn't know you did that.......That's awesome.......I restore Hot Wheel Vintage Redline cars from 1968.....watching your videos are remarkable.....how your able to put them back together.....GREAT JOB...keep up the Awesome work.....

Love the content you're making. Keep it up.
Thanks!
Just bought 3 of them.
Very interesting solution!
My hook/anchor doesnt wind up... do you have a video on how to fix that?
Awesome!
Nice fix dude. Do you have a link to where i can get those plastic rods?? Cant find them anywhere
Ebay, loads of sellers. K'nex rods. Cheers
Where can i get those rods? What are they usually used for? I love your videos, really helps a lot so thank you Sir.
K'nex rods. Normally a few sellers on ebay have them. Cheers
Also, unless your screws are cheap (as he calls them in the comments section here), you might want to consider some grub screws instead. They come with no head.
What specific model printer do you have . Awesome work as usual sir!
It's a fairly cheap Epson Pixma printer. Inkjet. It's not amazing, but works perfectly well for stickers.
Porfavor me pueden decir q utilizo para reparar las alas de win Raider como se llama ese material xfavor quiero arreglar el mio gracias
Hello
Can you tell me where i could find those orange stick to fix the wings and how do you name it please?
Many thanks for your videos !
Regards
Knex rods. You can get them on eBay easy enough. Cheers

Hey Dave - got a link to those exact KNEX rods? The colours on eBay seem to look off, but it may just be the photos. Don't want to risk getting the wrong shade.
They only seem to produce one orange rod, so they must be the ones. Each length of rod is a different colour. Grey ones are the longest.
128mm orange rods are what you need.

Search on eBay for knex rods. They are from a toy line called k'nex. Hope that helps.
@@toypolloi Thank you friend! Will do it! ;)
Any tips for cleaning a really messy and sticky mossman?
Wash it in hot soapy water and use a toothbrush to remove anything stuck in the flock.
Toy Polloi thank you!
Hello, where did you buy the connect rods from, can you please share the link.
ebay. Search for K'nex rods. There are loads of sellers. Cheers
@@toypolloi Thank you so much, just ordered it.
The toyjesus website seems to be down. I hope it is temporary. Are there any alternatives? Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi, I don't if it is down for a while I will see about adding the scan for the wind raider to Toypolloi.com
Any ideas for fixing the pegs of the rear rudder?
Lego antennas. You can get them in a yellow color. Cheers
nice
Hey Dave, I know on other vids you posted that you are into Action Man. Any chance of seeing a restoration of one of the old vintage Action Man vehicles, say the Chieftan Tank for example ??
I don't own any action man vehicles mainly due to space. But I would love to do some work on them. Ill have to have a clear out first.
Hi!!! Im from Argentina, i can't find the stickers to dawnload! Can you help me??
I have added them to toypolloi.com for the moment.
@@toypolloi thank you my friend!!!
Please, please, please invest in a clamp. I had visions of that drill going into your hand 🙈
Hello, could you upload the link of the sticker again? Thank you so much!
All sticker files are on toypolloi.com cheers
@@toypolloi thank you friend!!
Admit it, Duncan was drunk.
On my Wind Raider, some genius had managed to insert a screw from the inside of the damn thing and screwed it into the wing.
cant find the rods anywhere any tips on how to find them? are they called "connect rods"?
Knex rods. Cheers
Is that a weak screw or strong pliers?
The last screw I had to cut was problematic. I had to call forth the power of ten tigers...
Or, am I just really strong :D It was a very cheap box of screws. Useful to have for jobs likes this.
Hi, where I can get these orange rolls? Thx Chris
There are normally loads on ebay. Just search for Knex rods.
@@toypolloi Thx so much
Do you have an updated website for toy jesus
See the pinned comment. Cheers
I absolutely love your channel. Thanks for being so free with your information. I'll buy you a coffee
Thanks. A ko-fi is always welcome!
Would have loved to have some of your tips , when I broke my brothers prince Adams rubber band right out of the box .
Prime Adam video coming up in a few weeks! But maybe a good few years to late for you.
👏👏👏
The main part that the anchor string attached to can be removed just by pulling it up
Yeah, it comes off, but no access to the string attachment. Shame you can't easily get in there.

All you can do with that is try and glue it back together. I've not seen one like that before.

Looking back, its almost comical how under scaled the MOTU vehicles really were.
Man at Arms looks like something from TMNT.
Masters of the Universe pre-dated TMNT by about 5 years.
