I remember getting Roton for Easter back in the 80's..better than a chocolate egg. Mum always managed to get some amazing finds from the charity shop. Stridor was like a slice of fried gold to me. Thanks, Mum and thank you Toy Polloi.
You have mad skillz. I think if I was a demonic villain in a magical world I would also choose to travel in a bladed chariot with eyes. Just because I could.
You're very good in photoshop! I'm really pulled in watching those segments. If you don't already have another channel or section for photoshop/art tutorials, I would highly recommend considering it as I imagine a lot of people would come to watch and enjoy those. I love you toy resoration videos too btw, thanks for such great content.
if you can, i will love to see a fright zone fix it guide, the playset of the horde... have the trap floor, the brenchs and the cell gate, and one puppet too
Dave, please allow me to say that your new camera is really doing a great job on these videos! Your sound quality is excellent also! Very nice video, man, and as always thank you very much for the great demo! I always enjoy watching you recreate decals for vintage toys, and you did an admirable job on the eyes! Good stuff, man!
I love your videos, they're quite informative and relaxing, I even watch the videos on toys I know nothing about mostly because they're so good. If I could request anything for a future video from you it would definitely be on restoring or fixing up Gobots figures. I've just started collecting them and it seems like no one has any idea on the types of things that could be done to restore them so I think it'd be cool to see if you could maybe give them a go.
Great replacement Decals. Have you watched "the toys that made us" on NETFLIX? there's a whole episode on He man/Mattel and another on the Kenner star wars line. Cheers Simon
Have seen a few of your handi restoration videos, however was looking for one on ROM spaceknight. If you do have one can you link it please? In need of getting mine working. I finally have one after 45 years of trying to trade my friend when we were young.
I used it as reference. But their stickers are wrong for this toy. They just flipped one image of the eye so the highlights are n the wrong place. So if that is the quality of their stickers, then I would say they are not very accurate.
@@toypolloi Ah, an absolute shame, Thank you for responding! have a happy new year! Also! Would you accept a fan made custom skeletor to go along with your army?
No problem at all. And a fan made Skeletor sounds amazing. You can contact me via any of the social media links in my banner, or the email on my about page. Cheers

That is so cool how you recreate these stickers. It looks perfect. I’m glad you have them on your website cause if I had to do it I’d mess it up. Lol
I love Roton, simple and beautiful, very 80's...

Brill Dave. Your repro stickers looked better than the originals....hhmmm. Did you work for Mattel...lol.
Sadly no. But I would love to work at a toy company one day!

I’m wondering if you had the cape pattern for scareglow?
great job!
Enjoyed 👍👍
Nice job Dave! Only just realized, my Roton is missing its guns lol :-s
the gaming toy boy
I Forgot about the guns.
I was content with one saw tooth broken off.
Drats!
My first bad guy vehicle
Love the video! Any chance for a Battle Ram restoration?
I don't own one, but if I get one I will cover it for sure!

It's a figure I have yet to get my hands on. Maybe one day.
👏👏👏
I got vintage star wars..think my next collection should be vintage he man. This gets me mad as i had them all as a kid but gave them away...doh....
You don't fancy creating replacement decals for the entire GoBots line, by any chance? ;-)
You forgot to flip your "lens flair," on your mirrored left eye.
No, I flipped it. The left and right eyes are different.
Hi there. Do you recommend the repro stickers/decals available on ebay through zacparis?
I've never used them. I always print my own. Cheers
Thanks for the prompt reply. I asked because I spotted a zacparis sticker sheet in the background of your Photoshop window.
I used it as reference. But their stickers are wrong for this toy. They just flipped one image of the eye so the highlights are n the wrong place. So if that is the quality of their stickers, then I would say they are not very accurate.
Yes, you're right. They just flipped one image of the eye and the highlights are in the wrong place. I did not spot that. Thanks again.
My Roton's wheel constantly catches, like something on the inside is in the way of the mechanism, is there a safe way to open these up?
Not really. Pretty much all Motu vehicles are glued together. Chances are you will cause a lot of damage trying to get it apart.

So no idea what condition it's in.

Christopher Apps
Me too
You can, you just need to give it a try. You don't even need to buy photoshop, just download GIMP and give it a whirl.
hello
Is it me or is the Toy Jesus site down?
It does. I have copied any files I have used in videos over to Toypolloi.com until that site returns.
