Just subscribed! I thought no one else played SA2. This game was a highlight in my life as a kid. I’m glad to see a great content creator showing off SA2 the way it should!!
Great tutorial! This is where things start to get super serious and timeloss is massive even for small mistakes. I love the routes as this is basically the definitive tutorial for every level of play!
Thanks dawn! Also yeah really true, Desert really starts to test runners. It's actually a lot harder than I remembered and it was surprising when I was recording for the video. Hell yeah I have basically every level of play (except Katie level LMAO)
Great Video as always! Love the tutorials, even though I know I will never do anything but casual "speedruns" of this game. Always fun to learn in more detail what goes through a runners mind!
Thank you! I'm glad you loved it! Also having casual speedruns is the best! It's always fun to just enjoy speedrunning and doing the best you can! Speaking of learning more in detail about what goes through a runners mind... I may be making a video on that at some point!
Thank you! really appreciate it I did my best so I'm glad you think it was well made! I hope the next few tutorials will be the same level of quality because of how important they will be (Basic movement and Pyramid Cave)
Thanks this breaks down the level so well and stuff like this really make hero story more approachable(as all of my runs have died in the desert section of the run)
You're welcome! I'm really happy with all the positive feedback on this video. Definitely feels relieving hahaha. Good luck with your hero story learning!
Not TAS only but surprisingly annoying and hardly saves any time. But if you want to know how to do it: pause hover over the collision next to the upgrade room, and move towards it. Ideally clip in from the top or the corner I believe. If you try clipping in from the wall you will instead get stuck and slide down to your death. I haven't done that strat in about 4 years so my mind is a little hazy on the specifics. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
@@Traitor1 yeah, i found out how to do it, now i just need to get it while blind, its not that hard, but the camera in this game sucks more than the obe in sm64 sometimes
In the mission street tutorial I talk about it since that's when hovering is introduced but the tldr is: You want the "Jump" button press and the "Hover" button press with as little possible frames separating them as you can. To do this we pause just after we jump and unpause just before we hover!
uhhh in what way? As in upload a frogun speedrun because if so I have a few uploaded but if you mean make a frogun speedrun tutorial. Not entirely sure it will most likely take a while especially since I have 3 video ideas I want to create at the moment first!

Thank you! Yeah SA2 is one of my favorite games so I'm currently in the middle of making A speedrun tutorial guide for each of the stages!

Btw, how does pause jumps work? I have replicated it based on feels, but idk the logic behind it.
