- The plaintiff says he moved in with the defendant two weeks after they began dating, and she even changed her last name to his on social media. He says he moved out after three months, but he’s suing for unreturned property and an illegal eviction. The defendant insists her ex moved in after two months but then kicked her door in. She’s countersuing for two unpaid loans, damaged property, and emotional distress.

In most states, after 30 days a person is no longer classified as a guest but an occupant, a resident. You have to give at least a 30 day notice to evict them.

He is the example I give to my son when I explain how important it is for him to be independent and to always pay your own way.
