Most people like greener bananas. But The Healthiest ones have some Brown spots on them. This means the enzymes are starting . Which is the best for human / animals gut health. You can Only get these enzymes when the banana start getting brown.

Note: If you have banana's that have spots on them, peal them and throw them in a zip lock back and put them in the freezer. They make great ice cream. 1 banana in a food processor with 1 cup mango, and coconut milk up to the lowest blade. Blend until smooth. If you want it sweeter, add a little sweetener. OR 1 banana with cocoa, milk, and sweetener. Try banana, strawberries and pineapple chunks with milk for a blended banana split. You can also make banana bread.

Fruit has changed the way I eat breakfast. I like whole grain pancakes or waffles. I never put syrup or butter on them. Most times I use blueberries, raspberries and blackberries. When berries start to go out of season, I'll use kiwi 😊 and banana.

Living in Vietnam I grow bananas mostly the finger size variety, we pick them when one is just turning yellow, cut the bunch into hands and store them outside in a shady spot.
The size of the bunch can be regulated by removing the flower after the desired number of hands have appeared.
We also grow a larger size variety just for the flower, which is shredded for salads, some people ferment the fruit as they have a strange flavor. Of course, as we take the flower theirs no fruit.
Each plant will bear one bunch and once removed the tree is cut down and given to the pig man, the leaves are used as a mulch and weed covering.
We barter all the fruit we can't eat any that go rotten are buried near our roses. Or put in the compost. Nothing gets wasted.
Must try your ice cream recipe, so thanks for posting.

The skins of the bananas contain almost as much healthy minerals as does the fruit. Wash the bananas and eat fruit. Take the skins now in strips and cut off the hard brown parts at the ends. Cut strips into small pieces and place in jar with water, salt and a small amount of vinegar. Store in fridge for about 2 weeks before eating as pickled skins. Enjoy!

Pears and peaches sold in the grocery stores are picked too soon and are often tasteless and hard. Bananas are great to help ripen pears and peaches. I get a couple of pears or peaches out of the fridge and place them in a basket by my bananas. The following morning they are ready to eat , juicy and sweet.

I have learned some interesting things regarding bananas. I simply cut the banana from the bunch where they join one another. Doing this makes the banana naturally form a seal where its been cut. I keep my bananas an extra two or three days longer. The cut is doing what wrapping the end in plastic wrap does.

Yes you can store bananas in the frig. but like you said they will turn the bananas grey to black , but when the Bananas are refrigerated below 56-57 degrees you also risk dehydration. also don't just pull the bananas apart use a knife to cut them when they pulled apart it stresses the bananas and causes the necks to turn black and shortens shelf life by days.

My entire life, I've bought bananas with as large a nub as I can find connecting them - and as long as I'm careful to preserve the most of that nub as I can as I take each one off, the rest remaining connected take longer to ripen than they do when apart. Only other secret is not buying more bananas than I can reasonably consume, generally at the rate of one per day at most.

BTW, my favorite way is to leave them out until they are desired ripeness. I use a hook to reduce bed sores. Then I usually either use them immediately or freeze them for later. When used for cooking, frozen banana can store virtually forever.

Storing bananas in open air attracts bugs and can smell. Instead of a paper bag I use a cardboard Oatmeal jar. You can store them upright so there’s no bruising. They won’t attract bugs or fill the house with essence of banana.

I went back to listen after people complained and wow, some folks sure are sensitive to barely audible background music. If music is your thing, listen to music videos. Your accent is fine. Some people want everyone in the world to speak" un-accented" English. What is that anyway? There is no such thing. Every English-speaking country has different accents within the country. Length-wise? Not too bad. It could be a bit shorter but it isn't "distressing." I found it interesting, although I was aware of most of your suggestions. Anyway - CHILL PEOPLE.

You keep doing your videos how you want, those viewers who want a shorter banana video can go sit and spin or better yet, they should go make a video because society has forgotten manners and they might find an audience doesn’t like how their voice sounds or how they present. Bananas are LOADED with sugar - solution buy them when they are green and put in the refrigerator - lower sugar levels- might need to slice the peel length wise to extract the fruit

Lately I have decided to post my cooked food even though my name is Magical Life Of Fruit because I still do eat and love fruit. So I'm back to creating weekly content now and UA-cam decided to send one of my old videos viral. I'm hoping my new content will be better. Thanks for your support! Sorry you couldn't find a link to the banana bungee cord. I can't find it myself either now sorry.

First she says don't refrigerate bananas, then later suggests refrigerating them.
I've never understood this 'don't refrigerate bananas' nonsense. I've always refrigerated them like I would any other food. It'll slow ripening, or keep them ripe longer, whichever you want.
    Just try it.

    • @shreddersconnect
      @shreddersconnect  Рік тому

Refrigerating bananas slows down the ripening, so if you want them to ripen faster, don't refrigerate, if you want to slow it down, do. Different reasons for and against depending on your goals.

No stores shelve bananas properly these days. Bananas will bruise less if you store them curve up, resulting in their weight only on their 2 ends. I was taught this in the 50's in a grocery store as a boy.

What does it matter? You get a bunch of bananas green. The first banana gets ripe the next day. You eat it. The second is over ripe the next day. The third is black the day after. The fourth is dead, dead, dead. The fifth is absolutely rotten. You have managed to eat two bananas. Maybe three…All the others are dumped into the trash!
