You can ghost load a 1301 and Gen 2/3 1301s come with interchangeable chokes. Yes the 1301 recoils more but it weighs almost 2 lbs less which is kinda impressive. 1301 is lighter, faster on target and faster firing. But has a lot of plastic on it. The M4 has a simpler gas system and is built like a tank. The Langdon Tactical 1310 is probably the best buy. I got the M4 though because I had always wanted one. Really can’t go wrong with either.
I have the Gen 2 enhanced Beretta 1301. Mine has the Mesa tactical stock, came with 3 or 4 optima style chokes. And will absolutely hold 7+1+1 It'll ghost load. It'll also run ANY ammo you feed it. The M4 can struggle with target loads. The price difference isn't actually much difference, but the 1301 in my opinion is just a better shotgun.

And yet no heat shield. I believe you should make an overall comparison between the two firearms in their current top state and you should also take your time to analyse aspects like durability and value for money out of the box vs third party's upgrades. Yeah 1301 is a little faster at cycling but do I really care about that in a **real** situation? Don't think so. More important would be to know if it's easy to reload rounds to keep the shotgun fed during combat. That kind of thing. I own a Benelli M3 which is not shielded for heat and after 14 shots with no gloves it basically becomes unloadable. These things count IMO, not how fast I will run dry of ammo for nothing. :) Cheers!

The 1301 can be Ghost loaded to 9 rounds. Also, it is made in Italy. It’s the Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol that’s made in Tennessee. The new 1301 mod 2 is the best tactical shotgun on the market. I plan to pick one up in August when I get my bonus. Great video guys! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

If you take the two shotguns and do what people who always have to upgrade, I think the 1301 wins on cost as by the time the customizations have both guns equal, you've taken out a loan for the M4. I get Clint's sentimentality for the M4 as a fellow Marine, but there are a lot of things I was issued in the Marine Corps I would rather have something else instead. However, since the Marines issued the M4 and I didn't have to pay for it, I'm good with what I was given. But, if I am spending my own money, give me the 1301 and mine will be the equal of any customized M4 for less money, that can be used on ammo. Oh, y'all forgot you gotta pay for ammo extra after all the money customizing the guns huh? 😂 Thanks for the video guys!
Can't go wrong with either; M4 is built to a very tough spec which accounts for the weight difference. Beretta just as performant without the "overbuilt"ness. Obviously, both of these are a world different than your other run of the mill semi auto tac shotguns.
While ghost loading was mention they didn't demonstrate the Benelli or the Beretta being ghost loaded, time is always the test for combat style guns. They both have a great companies behind them. Now test the IWI against both? And throw the Springfield into the mix..
Love my M4 over my 1301. It’s just a personal preference. I just shoot the M4 a lot better. The machining on the Benelli interior parts is so much cleaner than the interior parts of the 1301.
I have shot both and I really do think that the 1301 recoils more. I had the 940 JM Pro and i had an offer from a co worker to exchange his 1301 for my 940 pro. I said no thanks. I took the 940 pro and traded it in for a Benelli m4 and 600 dollars cash because I wanted a combat shotgun and no one else i knew had one. I am very happy with the M4. I like shooting it more than any other shotgun.
This is a excellent video. The antics and gestures that these guys share with the viewers make this a fun video to watch. And less not forget the information as well.🤗
Lamborghini vs Ferrari. Both amazing. But i bought a 1301 and decked it out, with comp lifter so i can quad load, prism sight and aluminum mloc hand guard for Christian design, and can ghost load. With all the accessory weighs the same as the m4. 1301 for the win
No one in this video can count apparently lol. Still agood comparison though. I think ill stick with the 1301 mod 2. Not the pistol grip model though, not a huge pistol grip fan. I got a pistol grip setup for my M2 and after i ran a class with it i swapped back to a "field" setup.
Having both (1301 mod 2 and M4 Entry) the Benelli wins because its alot more fun to clean lol. Both are awesome. The prolifter on the 1301 makes reloading so much better. Recoil is better on M4 even with 14.5in barrel
I have wasted $1000 in slugs and 00B and never had a hiccup with 1301. I also had luck with the Mossberg 930JM after upgrading the marine spacer tube. It eats everything!
On today's episode of Clint shooting badass shotguns with D1 linebackers.... All seriousness though - GREAT video gentlemen. An A300 Patrol thrown into the mix would've been really cool too. But thank you for this. Team Beretta!!
Since other reviewers, including Classic Firearms, have fond that the A300 Ultima Patrol is very close to the 1301, by the law of transitivity the Ultima Patrol is very close to the M4, for a lot less money.
I have both and love both. If I did have to pick one I’d go for my m4, nothing wrong with the 1301 just I have a bigger comfort towards the m4. Even if it weights more and doesn’t shoot “as fast”
I think there both great. But having the extra tube capacity was the reason i went with the 1301. If they want to sell M4s they better start adding the capacity of it.The 1301 tactical with pistol grip is in my opinion the way to go. Shot all kinds different shells it eats them all so far....
I definetly plan on eventually getting a 1301, but at the end of the day the target taking that shot won't notice the difference between my m4 and my future 1301.
Benelli does certain things well, and so does Beretta, which makes brand loyalty rather silly. Plus, Beretta Holding owns both Beretta and Benelli. Pull from the internet.
While these are interesting videos and I would love having either one (leaning towards 1301), am I the only person that is not interested in how fast a combat shotgun shoots? I guess I want to see more torture tests and stuff that a combat shotgun would be put through and not competition styled stuff. I know it shoots fast. That should be a plus, and not it’s main point. I love your videos guys. Keep it up. I just mentioned it because every channel is doing it
Well both are good great shotguns. $200 difference between a mod2 Tac and a m4 Tac on Bud’s. I went with the Beretta in grey wolf. Adding a Holosun 507c, and a sling. So I’ll rock with that. Haven’t made my mind up on a saddle yet. But I’m leaning towards the card system.
The 1303 Mod 2 is $1800 and the M4 is $2000.. At that price, its not really a big diff. I opted for the 1301 which is newer and updated. Has the better loading gate that doesn't bite your finger and all the trickle down tech. The 1301 is also more ergonomic and a lot easier to upgrade the shell tube as compared to the M4. To get the M4 to where I wanted it would have cost me even more, it didn't make sense. The aftermarket support for the 1301 is huge.
By the time you add a larger charging handle and oversized bolt release, extension tube, and adjustable stock, the M4 is over $3K. I know from experience.
I'm from the Philippines its M4 for me. I have one but the latest model with the quadrail system. after shooting a lot of rounds the beretta will for sure burn you specially if you are shooting fast. My m4 came with 7 rounds capacity. The military did not choose this for nothing.

The Mod.2 tactical and COMP series also have beveled loading ports that make quad loading a thing.
mod 2 is where it's at. No need for a new handguard from Aridus
Where did you purchase yours?

Agreed. I would still choose my kitted out M4, but both are fantastic shotguns. The fact that it's such a debate says a lot about both.
I’m seeing 1301s mod 2 tactical and 1301 tactical. What 1301 are these guys using??
The M4 LE (11732) comes with 7rd tube, oversized controls, and 5 position collapsible stock. All solid upgrades over the one they shot.

Having both (1301 mod 2 and M4 Entry) the Benelli wins because its alot more fun to clean lol. Both are awesome. The prolifter on the 1301 makes reloading so much better. Recoil is better on M4 even with 14.5in barrel
I chose 1301 with the holosun and its amazing
I ghost load my 1301 all the time!!!
Both are sweet, i prefer m4, but for the money the 1301 is tough to beat.
I have wasted $1000 in slugs and 00B and never had a hiccup with 1301. I also had luck with the Mossberg 930JM after upgrading the marine spacer tube. It eats everything!
Beretta 1301 in OD green. Sweet truck gun.
Love this show. Awesome, educational, and comic. Keep em coming.
On today's episode of Clint shooting badass shotguns with D1 linebackers....
All seriousness though - GREAT video gentlemen. An A300 Patrol thrown into the mix would've been really cool too. But thank you for this. Team Beretta!!
Absolutely, you can ghost load a 1301 tactical
I bought a 1301 mod2 and a Turkish m4 (MAC 1014). Love both of em.
Langdon tactical 1301! my fiancé bought it for me and it can be ghost loaded. What are yall talking about? Did yall do any research for this episode?
Beretta owns Benelli, so this is kinda like comparing a Silverado to a Sierra. 😂
M4 20+ years of ACTUAL COMBAT EXPERIENCE - WORLDWIDE. Nuff said.
I'd be fine with either but I like my M4 just fine!
I went with the Benelli M4 and yes it’s best with all the upgrades.
Na, not really
Love these guys..lol the foot race
Since other reviewers, including Classic Firearms, have fond that the A300 Ultima Patrol is very close to the 1301, by the law of transitivity the Ultima Patrol is very close to the M4, for a lot less money.
I own them all, the M4 is a different league than the A300UP. The A300UP is the best semi auto tactical gun for 1K price point tho.
I have both and love both. If I did have to pick one I’d go for my m4, nothing wrong with the 1301 just I have a bigger comfort towards the m4. Even if it weights more and doesn’t shoot “as fast”
After decades running the M4 … moved to the 1301 mod2.
Must change with the times. Have to go with better.
I think there both great. But having the extra tube capacity was the reason i went with the 1301. If they want to sell M4s they better start adding the capacity of it.The 1301 tactical with pistol grip is in my opinion the way to go. Shot all kinds different shells it eats them all so far....
The M4 totally out fucks the Beretta. Although, the Beretta is a close second.
Na, not really
I fast forwarded to the shooting and first thing I hear “Ill take 1.41” I bet you will bro 😂😂😂
M4 with a real tube, slapped a briley handguard on mine and a few other things. Absolutely love my m4
You can keep them both. I'll keep my 17 round semi-auto IWI TS12
That’s what I’m talking about!!
Funny cause I forget I have it but I do agree, I love shotguns and I will say that TS12 doesn’t get enough attention for its set up
I would love to get one but there’s no point in california 😢
Clint.. you better address the fact you didn't research ghost loading! Also.. i got my gen2 1301 for $1300 and haven't seen an M4 for less than $2400
The 1301 has plastic sights and a plastic piece up front that keeps the barrel and the magazine tube together. It's a failure point.
It has some cheap plastic stuff I side the handguard too. I love mine but the M4 is built to be much more durable
I definetly plan on eventually getting a 1301, but at the end of the day the target taking that shot won't notice the difference between my m4 and my future 1301.
I like them both, like most people the Benelli m4 is my holy grail gun.But I may get a 1301 tactical first.
Need to redo this video with the Beretta 1301 Tactical M2 which is a M4 killer!
Benelli does certain things well, and so does Beretta, which makes brand loyalty rather silly. Plus, Beretta Holding owns both Beretta and Benelli.
Pull from the internet.
Now please do the A300 vs 940 pro
I have a mossberg 930 with over 5k through it. It has been an excellent shotgun.
Keep it up. I just mentioned it because every channel is doing it
Off topic but as a newbie in the gun world. What ear protections are you guys wearing?
Out of my price range ,, Remington 870 , 18.5 with rifle sights deer barrel , and a Vortex red dot ... I can afford ...
That FN SLP tactical, you can get 8 rounds in the tube plus 1 in the chamber.
1301 Tactical CAN be Ghost Loaded
Can I hire Aaron as my personal bodyguard because he looks like he takes names and kicks ass for a living?
I’d like to see the same comparison between those two and the Beretta A300 Patrol. That would be very interesting. Performance vs Price
How’s the 1301 compare with the mossberg 940 pro tactical
The 1303 Mod 2 is $1800 and the M4 is $2000.. At that price, its not really a big diff. I opted for the 1301 which is newer and updated. Has the better loading gate that doesn't bite your finger and all the trickle down tech. The 1301 is also more ergonomic and a lot easier to upgrade the shell tube as compared to the M4. To get the M4 to where I wanted it would have cost me even more, it didn't make sense. The aftermarket support for the 1301 is huge.
I'm a Benelli fan but for a tactical shotgun, I think the Beretta 1301 is the best option
I wouldve loved a 1301 but got Turknelli M4 at a great sale price so.. no complaints
I don't think there's anything better than the brotherhood of the military...
