    Breast implant illness is real for EVERYONE with breast implants. No one is an exception. SOOO thankful I got mine removed a few months ago after having them for 15 years! People also are clueless how lip filler and botox can cause so many of these same issues shes talking about, on top of a diet eating extremely processed foods for every meal. Autoimmune issues are not the root cause, they are a symptom

    This might be the most important video you have ever done. Society will be better off when functional medicine is the "new" norm. I think everyone truly wants to cure or manage the underlying problem, not just treat the symptoms. Yet, we have been "brainwashed" in a sense to believe that a pill is the "cure". Videos like this will help normalize it because many people do feel like functional medicine is crunchy and "doesn't really" work. I used to feel the same. I have slowly opened my eyes to the benefits of functional medicine, but it has taken years and I just happened to stumble upon it. Videos like this will help normalize it because many people feel like functional medicine is crunchy and "doesn't really" work. I applaud you for making this video and helping to get the word out. And just think of how much money health insurance companies would save if they supported "health care", not "sick care".

      Nurse here, I think maybe that’s partially right but I’d say 90% of the issue is people insist their cure only comes in a prescription. Doctors tdays always try and discuss diet and lifestyle changes but it falls on def ears. 2 perfect examples I’ve dealt with this week alone. Patient is fighting kidney failure. I handed this person 8 pills in the morning. 6 of them vitamins and supplements, 1 a pain pill and 1 blood pressure medication. They handed me back to vitamin. (They have no numerical stamp on the side). They said they are taking these even after I explained that it’s important to healing. Lunch rolls around they insist on a coke. I explained that the 3+ pitting edema in their legs is exacerbated by sodium and should be cut out or down to 1500mg. They say “well that’s what dialysis is for” patient 2 brings in a toddler that’s got a cold. Dr says to drink lots of fluid and good food. Mom INSISTS doctor is not treating her kid because he won’t give antibiotics even tho we explain it does not work for colds or the flu and can be damaging. Oh also, or 1 are constipated and want meds. We explain movement is the best remedy for constipation, they say they can’t walk because if the fluid in their legs. So people insist on meds and refuse to believe lifestyle changes can fix/prevent things. Look at the 470 million people with type 2 diabetes (that’s preventable) instead of diet of exercise, they get insulin. It’s sad. It’s people that’s the issue, not the medical industry

      @@rockstarmom3121 the medical industry made people like that . People usually trust the doctor without question , so they are used to getting a pill every time they come in to be treated . So when a good doctor shows up and tries to actually help , the people refuse that kind of help . Also all the propaganda commercials for pharmaceuticals that say “ask your doctor for this pill today” 😂

    B.I.I (Breast Implant Illness) is also a fairly new discovery where the medical field is finding a lot of women’s health issues and symptoms are actually coming from having breast implants. The foreign objects in the body cause the immune system to be in a constant state of attack trying to figure out how to get rid of them, and it causes so many other health problems. Idk if Jordan has breast implants but if she does she should also look into that! A lot of women who get theirs out via explant surgery feel better instantly, Crystal Hefner and Lauryn Bosstick talks about their journey for anyone interested.

    This was so good! I have Grave's Disease but thankfully I haven't been as sick as you. However, I got to the point of I don't care anymore of how I eat or just taking care of myself because I was soooo tired and fatigued! My endo doctor only does more "traditional" bloodwork and doesn't want to talk to me about adrenal fatigue, he says that's not a "real" term in the medical field. Anyway, I got so tired of being tired and I got so tired of telling him that I felt terrible and he did nothing to help me. So, I found a functional medicine doctor in my area and we have been on a journey together for about three months now. The elimination diet is soooo hard and I have to admit I haven't done very well on it. So proud of you Jordan for working so hard on your diet! Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Thank you Dr. Redd for your advice and your honesty.

    Hi Jordan, I am so happy to hear you are feeling better! Dr. Redd sounds like a great doctor! My father is also a chiropractor and I see a naturopath, so I am a firm believer in holistic medicine and addressing root cause.
    My question is, now that you are focused on addressing underlying triggers that cause inflammation and auto immune issues, have you considered removing your breast implants?
    I had mine removed about 4 years ago after developing Breast Implant Illness. I had many of the symptoms you described- horrible brain fog, insomnia, hair loss, daily heart palpitations and tachycardia, extreme fatigue, migraines, chronic sinus issues, stomach problems, etc.. Breast Implant Illness sadly gets overlooked in so many women! I am wondering if Dr. Redd has addressed this?
    I have seen several women end up with a number of auto immune conditions, such as Graves Disease and Hashimotos that were actually triggered by their implants, and could not fully heal until they were removed. Life stressors and poor diet certainly trigger these as well. In my healing journey I had to address these as well, but removing my implants was by far the greatest thing I did for my body. I chose to get them after having 4 kids and had no idea at the time how sick they would make me. I have learned so much since then. I wish you all the best in your healing journey! ❤️

    In my opinion, some of these functional medicine doctors and chiropractors treat lab results that aren't significant enough to require medical treatment and can do more harm than good. Especially when it comes to thyroid issues and being a touch off. Go to a functional medicine doctor that is a medical provider also, MD, DO, PA, NP to make sure you aren't paying for unnecessary labs, tests, treatments or consult with your provider at each step. I’ve had Covid twice and developed an autoimmune disease towards food. It took 8 months of tests, figuring out what I can eat that doesn’t throw my body into complete reaction to certain foods. I now have to eat a paleo lifestyle. If I eat anything with sugar, wheat, dairy, anything processed my whole body gets covered in hives/welts, hives in my mouth and new issues with breathing! But I follow a strict eating, I now have really good resources for paleo recipes, I’ve learned how to really read labels and I’m really careful about eating out. I haven’t eaten at a fast food restaurant in over a year now and I don’t miss it at all. Since this diagnosis and having to do a complete lifestyle change, I can honestly say I’ve never felt better. My only concern now is it’s hard to maintain weight. I know people are going to say, oh poor you, but it is hard . People always tell me to stop dieting, but I’m not and I’m trying to find foods help maintain weight. I did finally find a paleo protein powder so I’m looking forward to trying that!!

    I have Hashimoto’s and I have been this sick, I was literally nodding in agreement with you while you spoke of your symptoms of feeling tired, hair falling out. I waited until 6mo because I too thought it was normal pp symptoms after having a baby. After the 6mo I didn’t see or feel a change and went to see a PA which thankfully listened and did a full thyroid panel and sure enough my antibodies where high. From there I saw one ENDO and he was the worst, then I learned of integrative medicine, they diagnosed me and things have gotten better from there.

    I have Hashimotos. Diagnosed over 20 years ago. I'm not an expert & def not a doc. I saw your throat swell over time and I wondered about your thyroid but kept such suspicion to myslef because even if I was correct, you never addressed it and it was none of my business. All that to say I'm so glad you finally got the REAL help your body needed. Thyroid messes with EVERYTHING. I listen to my Endo but added functional med to my schedule and boom. I got so much relief. Work with the body AS A WHOLE and everything in there gets what it needs 😎. Best,

    This is the approach everyone should take. Sometimes, it feels like only the wealthy get the opportunity . I have benefits, but there are limits and deductibles and co-pays. Of you overcome that, getting an appointment is very tough. My primary care physician went to the concierge, and now there is an annual fee of $1800. That just gets you in and 30 min appointment vs. 15 min.

Still get T4 and TSH tested every 6m but always come back normal. Uk don't test T3. Now I have Axial Spa (hereditary) and fibromyalgia...

It's a migraine that I used to have to take heavy meds for. Since you had graves, the dehydration alone is enough to make exercise extremely difficult! I take thyroid meds and have had to lower meds a few times. It's only a taste of what you went through! ADHD can be aside effect of of thyroid problems. Not disagreeing, but some have great/good pregnancies and some have hard pregnancies. All 3 of my pregnancies were hard and my 1st delivery was even worse. I would say my 1st pregnancy/delivery can be pretty comparable to a car accident (obviously depending on the severity) 🤷‍♀️ maybe worse in some cases as I had to keep going and take care of an infant at the same time.

    • @juliebraden
      @juliebraden 4 місяці тому +4

      @@ashleylangley6035 agree some pregnancies are very hard. Some women go thru their's easily true. But the car analogy thing doesn't add up to me unless I guess it's referencing internal injuries then I suppose I see wat she means. But why wud something so natural, & vital to our extinction or not, be comparable to man made injuries? That just doesn't make sense to me.

    • @ashleylangley6035
      @ashleylangley6035 4 місяці тому

      @@juliebraden I see your point. I suppose it just depends on everyone's different point of views (which is a wonderful thing). I suppose you could technically say my 1st delivery injury was man made. My baby got stuck and didn't fit coming out but he made him. I don't disagree with him either as that's how it's always been done, the only knowledge, etc, but technically it was a man made injury that I spent almost 6 months healing from and relearning bodily functions we are born doing. Not saying for her case or what not, just being the Devil's advocate. My situation was rare. I am not sure what you can compare pregnancies to really. They all each different.
