Android friends! Every app on this list is also on Android, except:
- Airr (coming to Android soon)
- Fitness (built into iPhone - try Google Fit as an alternative)
- Command (sorry, there's just no alt I could find with these features - Command is pretty unique)
Glad to know these are on Android too! I am an Android heathen...
You know what would boost my productivity even more? Timestamps or UA-cam chapters
Thank you!
Cool! Thanks!
I used Instapaper to save articles from the web and then highlight in Instapaper. It also integrates with Readwise to pull the highlights and push to Notion.
Hands down, the best productivity app on my phone is the OFF button :) I get way more done when the phone is off or out of sight.
😂 lol
Facts
fax boy this vid is useless this comment is all that was required
@@okechukwuanudokem2060 it’s not cool to call someone else’s positive and intentional hard work useless. do better.
@@atwarwithlife he’s right though
This is the type of video that introduced me to your channel and productivity youtube 4 years ago so it's amazing to see how much we've both grown the last years. Thank you for everything

How to stop procrastinating:
1. Create a to-do list
2. Generate momentum
3. Set a deadline with an accountability partner
4. Get into a competitive environment
Real #1: don't be depressed
Lol
5.- Keep moving forward
HEEEEEEEE
I didn’t forget. I chose. Thanks for outing me 😂
I do the same sometimes
Thank you for all of the effort you make for these videos, Thomas!! :)
So pumped for this video!
Love the smooth transition between apps!
“What defines us is how well we rise after falling.” Otter really helped me put my UA-camr ideas down. Sharing some love from small UA-camr.
Love the captions, they are on point as always :)
Keep up the good content, mate!
Downloading these now! Otter and Command looks really useful especially.
The simplest and quickest ways to focus and stay organized lead to being most productive. Everyone has to find what works for their situation/personality etc. Some good ideas here for digital productivity.
Just found your channel. Thanks for the helpful, interesting, and practical information that you publish.
I've got an android, but still watching this just in case.
I’m getting a brand new android phone tomorrow
All but 3 are on Android, and one of those three is coming to Android soon! See the pinned comment :)
@@Thomasfrank you're just a doll and so very helpful, just a quick thank you!
@Christopher Eduardo Brõck Grace Jr. Samsung Galaxy s20 FE 5G :)
Nice one 😂
love the transitions in this video!
Thank you for your honesty about the Airr app. I tried it and I completely agree - awesome idea, not quite ready for prime time. I do hope they improve it, even if we have to pay for it. I want to try out Readwise and I was wondering if you have an affiliate link for it? I’d like you to get “something” for it, just because I appreciate the honesty of your reviews and the fact that you didn’t oversell Airr.
Thank you so much for this 💓
Every single video, I learn something! Worthwhile :)
Otter is simply amazing. Been looking for an app like that. Thank you Thomas!
The dashboard screen is SO satisfying, I always feel like I'm jumping around lots of different systems so this will absolutely KILL for productivity 😍 dashboard but for your whole life and business 😂
Great job once again. 👌
This just made my life infinitely better! 🙏🏽
Great video!
I found out that Pomodoro doesn't really work for me. I either finish my task within the time limit or greatly exceed it. The scheduled breaks cut off my momentum.
I typically use a stopwatch since I'm more product-based than time-based (i.e. finishing one chapter and not just studying for 1.5 hrs). If I want to take a break and see that I've only been studying for 5 min, then I'll just continue studying. I'm shouldn't be that weak lol.
Studying is really different for everyone and I'm glad I've experimented enough to know what works for me :)
“Don’t burn your opportunities for a temporary comfort.”
Ayy didn’t expect to see you here, keep up with the awesome content dude 🔥🔥
Personally, although not mentioned in this video, Forest has been my favorite productivity app ever since I had my iPhone 5 lol.
As always, excellent information delivered in a concise, flowing manner. Thank you Thomas.
Omg thank youuuu! iPhone user here!! So happy you mentioned so many apple things here!
Love love! ❤🌿
Recently switched from Android for my main personal device (still using an older Galaxy Note for work) and I'm actually shocked at how many apps on iOS want yearly subscriptions. Apple being forced to allow 3rd party app stores through regulation can't get here fast enough because it's a bit ridiculous.
Subscriptions are sustainable. I wish Android had such great apps like iOS otherwise Android is so much better tbh
What on earth is „sustainable“ about apps like a calculator wanting you to pay $2 each month for them?
Like in a year that is how much I paid for the game Read Dead Redemption 2 by Rockstar games.
In 2 years that calculator will cost as much as twice what I paid for said blockbuster game…
Especially when in the European Union prices for all apps tend to be 120%-150% of US app prices.
@@vedaryan334 what even does this comment mean? Lol. Name your favorite app used by millions, and it’s most definitely on android. Only niche apps are on one platform only.
Thanks these apps are very useful for me👍🏻
Okay the sound effects are great 👍🏾
One of the best videos I have ever watched.
love how these all connect
Quality content 🤌🤌
How to get that grey wallpaper ?
Fitness = Productivity...YES I LOVE THAT
Very useful app list
Two videos in two days? Christmas came early
8:48 keep your arms extended all the way doing deadlifts, literally lock your elbows open cause if not you can get a really bad injury on your biceps.
Thanks for the great tips! What do you think about the app snipd ?
Evernote. My whole life is in there from written notes scanned to notes for learning as well as to do list and also PDF i have uploaded from courses i have done.
Thanks for the mention on Adobe Scan
Thank you
thanks for considering Android peeps. also notion has matured now watching it grow is a delight
I really like how he transform from one topic to another it is very smooth
Good Job, THOMAS
Is there an app that can score music as you play it?
what is the best 'loop recorder' app
Would you add timestamps please? Even though I won't always skip through, this surely helps if I already know an app or want to switch to your next recommendation half way through once I know the recommendation may not suit my needs :) Love your videos
an acoustasonic in the back. love it. are you happy with it? i got the tele version
Thank you for sharing these beautiful apps. These will benefit me since I am an iOS user. I want o share my productivity app, which is Connecteam, by the way. This app aids me in managing my small team in my business.
I came to this video expecting to see nothing actually useful, I was dead wrong. Awesome video!
Spark is a great book!
My son is going to university this year, would appreciate one video with apps that are available for both iPad and Mac OS.
Otter saved me during A&P classes for lecture notes
Thx
Hey Thomas👋, is it possible for you to renew the video on how you setup your home screen on your iPhone (the last one is 5 like years old) 😁?
Hello Thomas, have you ever tried Draft as favorite app?
for tide, you probably could just use the built in time and now in iOS 15 you have background noise which gives you Balance noise, bright noise, ocean, rain , stream, just some of the sounds available, I prefer stream .
Thomas can you do a top 10 on android productivity ?
Might be able to replicate command with readwise and vivaldi notes or notion.
You can use the default notes app and can documents also.
Do people know that iOS got an integrated doc scanner? I often think less apps is better for productivity. While I really like other note apps, for the really spontaneous ideas and scans) I always use the notes shortcut from my control center.
The thumbnail so attractive 😍
Finally
One of the issues i've had with Otter is that it's hard to get things out of the app. Have you found any shortcuts on how to do this better?
Best way to get out of procrastination is to break the big tasks into small ones and then start checking things off as you start. Think of eating; we bite a sandwich down, yet we do not try to eat it all at once
Command sounds like a Thought bubble in mind mapping app? 🧐 Need something like that as an INFP who’s always reading, thinking & correlating countless connections and endless possibilities 😆 Other sounds great too 🤔
Video molto interessante
how much do you spend in your monthly apps or subscription based apps?
I'm here to see what applications I can make for myself at Android)))
Hi Thomas, do you recommend another program for timeboxing? the 30 30 and the other one you rcommended are no longer available. Thank you
My fitness activity ring does not work for exercise, which is really frustrating. There are workarounds and solutions out there, but none have worked for me.
The stand and movement rings work, though and I like those.
Ahhh I use otter too am I love it
Hey some of us are poor/ like long battery can you do one for android plz
It’s hardcore history!
Nice
I can never get tired watching Thomas Frank. He’s freaking adorable to watch ❤️
getting an ipad soon so perfect
I think the future iOS 15 update in safari can do everything that command does
“If you work on something a little bit every day, you end up with something that is massive.” Never doubt small changes sharing some love from small UA-camr
Hello..I'm about to buy an iphone 12 mini which will Have 64gb space so will the productivity apps take all the space?
Can you please drop a link to your wallpaper?
Bloody hxll, Thomas. I don't even have an iPhone! Why am I watching it?
Or some of them on Android - good, now I have a valid reason to watch you 😜.
8 out of 10 are on Android!
@@Thomasfrank Ok, not some, most! Thanks for replying!!! Made one person star - struck 🤗. Love all your channels! Thank you!
@@Thomasfrank Like a UK programmer "8 out 10 cats" 😁🐱. (Check it out if you haven't seen it, my guess you will enjoy it.)
You don’t need an app to be productive. If gives you the illusion of being productive when in fact everyone knows what they have to do.
Hi. Can you post a link to the cardholder that you attached to your phone?
Hi,
I have been using notion for some time now. I genuinely wish there was a feature of knowing whether an A4 sheet or A3 sheet is over. I write a lot. I sometimes print it. But it's hectic. It makes me export multiple times checking every time. If there's a way to do this plz help me.
I like tide apps for my sleep tracker and their alarm is so peaceful
half a year later and the trial worked for me!
Is that the Fender Acoustisonic? Every time I go to the guitar store those are locked up. Dying to play the Tele one.
Hubberman Lab 💯
Lol.. 10:40 we saw at least 4 codes of authy.. I could now reverse brutforce your seed key with that 😬
Thanks for Otter.
Me: uses Android
Video: *iPhone* Productivity apps
Me: *still proceeds to watch the video*
All apps are available on android as well, except Airr, command and fitnesss
Otter's a bit hit and miss for us Brits with regional accents 😬 💂
Why can’t I find Fitness app in my iPhone? Is it related with Apple Watch (I don’t have a one) or related with location (I live in Egypt)?
Is that the iPhone 12 mini? Would love to hear your thoughts on it because I’ve strongly considered switching to it but wondering if it’s too small.
I own one myself. it’s awesome. screen size is absolutely fine
TIDE is an amazing app
I use the I Recommend or Flynow App, the perfect application to search to improve your productivity, through the management of tasks, habits and goals. The application uses melhores methods to manage tasks, habits and goals. Also, use gamification to stimulate users to carry out their activities. Another differential of the application and the use of statistics to provide feedback for the user regarding their performance. For or management of tempo / tasks or application uses the Triad do Tempo method, for or management of habits, or application uses or loop of habit. To carry out goal management, the application uses the SMART method.
Plz make a android version
Great app list.
I should scan documents in my work very frequently, and it was very hard to find app, when I turned to iOS. I hate overpriced subscriptions, so after many attempts I have found great app - TurboScan. It works great, you can create folders and the quality of scan is overwhelming. Cost every cent spent on it.
