Haha I know! Every once in a while, I get these one that just double others in size
I missed the electric blue acara on your last fishroom tour. Been working on breeding them myself for the last year. Been as or more challenging as breeding angels. After a few months I’ve finally got about 20 half inch babies. At $20 a pop the adults have been one of my more expensive breeding projects, especially since losing several trying to get them to pair. (Gotta watch them, they are jumpers)
Good luck with your journey, that's awesome you got some!! If you go wayyy back in my videos I used to breed them and are a beautiful fish.
How do you move all your fish without acclimating them?
It would probably be a good idea to put some watersprite or some other kind of floating plants in your 20 gallon tank. There's not very many hiding places for the fry. And the parents will eat every one them. Sad but true. I didn't get very many fry until I put some watersprite in my tank. I just dropped it in and let it float. And it's a really fast propagating plant. At first I would snap off a new branch and share it between my tanks but eventually I had to just start throwing it away. Just make sure you don't throw away fry with it. LOL 😆

Ordered a male this size but normal coloured, he came with an injury to his underside dead 1 weeks later tried to treat bit but no luck

Who do you tell the difference between the two
The males get the bristles on nose and females will get fat with eggs when ready to lay eggs
