I just looooove all of these tracks you play with Noah. My biggest wish this year is a live album from Noah Guthrie and Good trouble on spotify. That would just be terrific!
Great video as always Rhett! Even though we are the same age I look up to you. You also inspire me to play guitar and to continue to try and get better no matter what anyone else says. My parents could care less about me playing guitar even though they sometimes try and pretend but when I practice something new and challenging for months and finally get it and that rush of happiness floods my brain I’m eager to show someone and when I go over my parents house and decide to show them I just get ignored… absolutely soul crushing… it makes me feel like quitting but I keep playing and practicing every single day
Dealt with the same feedback problem with my single coil tele. Bought a project squire for 135$ and it turned into a $850 partscaster that took a year to finally finish! Can’t wait to see the progress with your Nova bridge pickup!
WOW! That was a fantastic video! I'm glad you and your wife recorded everything. You are a wonderful guitarist @RhettShull It was great to see you play and to see Noah and Good trouble. Man what a great show it looked like. Something I would love to see in-person. But what I liked was that you dealt with some real show issues and kept pushing through like the E-string coming off the saddle in the middle of riff in a song. Major kudos on being such a professional in how you handled it. Turned that volume down quickly and dealt with it and didn't miss a beat on the come in. You continue to keep a fellow guitarist inspired. Thank you for sharing.
duuuuuuuuude. this was a very inspiring and refreshing video. the laughter and the fun and making the best of this all is so good to see. inspiring us all to play our hearts out. this is a good one
I actually heard your sound check at musikfest in PA as I was finishing up a gig right up the road at the steel pub. I immediately recognized Noah’s voice along with the guitar tones. Super cool
Rhett, I discovered your channel two years ago and always look forward to your videos. I've learned a lot from your channel. Your humility is refreshing and your content never disappoints. I'm 71 years old and really appreciate having people like you and Rick Beato out there to help keep my interest in guitar as fresh as it was when I first picked up an old $45 Japanese finger slicer when I was 14. God bless and I wish you all the success you desire in your career and life.
I met Willie in Maui, very casual meeting. I have also seen him twice in concert, both concerts were near 2 solid hours of music that everyone seemed to know by heart. Great memories.
Great video! One of your best! Lots of real time conversation where you can see and almost understand the interactions between band members and the activities that go into putting a show together. It's also a great marketing opportunity for your band. Before this video, I had never heard of them. NOW I will keep an eye out for them.
wow Rhett what a great video. thankyou for showing so much of the show and not cutting it any shorter. I know editing is tuff so good job there. And congratulations on being Blessed with such an opportunity. Enjoy the trip man its going to get even crazier. God Bless
Rhett, really enjoyed this. You guys sounds great. I'm more of a hard rock guy, but over the years I have been following your content, and am really diggin these songs. And that Nova looks incredible. Keep rockin and stay safe out there on the road.
I really like Noah's voice and what you guys are doing! It gets better every time I hear you!! We opened for Willie once in the 80's and I'll never forget that! What really touched me was when we opened for Tammy Wynette in the mid-70's. I was in my mid-20's and 6' 6" 280 lbs. I was side stage when she finished with "Stand By You Man, she walked over and pulled me on stage, the lights were down and the spot was on us when she looked up at me and sang the song with one arm around me. That was really special and I'll never forget it. Nobody had any film left!! LOL Just as well... 8) --gary
Been watching a long time and I just wanted to say I enjoy all of your content but the tour vlogs are, by far, my favorite videos. Thanks for all of your effort! 🍻
Man, I'm so happy to see more people get into gold foil pickups, especially in the coodercaster arrangement with the valco-style lapsteel pickup. I've been planning out a Jazzmaster build for a while, triple pickups with two different gold (silver) foils. D is so on the pulse with what players want right now.
I didn’t have the time today to watch from start to finish, but I did stop and scroll. All I can say is awesome Rhett! Congratulations on everything you’re doing and the success of the channel. And you get to meet and open for Willie, just great!
What an honor to share a stage with Willie! Thanks for sharing the speed bump you had with your Firebird. I never toured, or played for crowds like you guys do and have, but I had my share of epic instrument malfunctions back in the day.
I like the band, it was great to see you out on the road again. I like the new guitar. I thought it had a good sound, but you don't want to be fighting that kind of squeal during your gig and your audience doesn't want to be subjected to it either. I loved the pickguard!
Really nice to see a band where everyone is focused not only on the gig but also how to disembark the stage as fast as possible :) I've worked many a festival as a monitor-engineer and seen so many messed up ways to leave the stage. And course it seems to happen mostly when changeover times are short! So take notice be prepared to get on stage as soon as possible(let the band playing before leave the stage first) and of equal importance to exit the stage after the gig as fast as possible. @Rhett You should make a video about the workings behind the scene! We who work behind the stage really tries to make your experience the best possible but we do need some help sometimes:)
Rhett, I really enjoy your backstage pass videos! I saw Willie back in around 80, while I was at Ole Miss in Oxford MS. mostly all I remember was noticing his guitar with a "bullet hole". fun days. thanks for sharing. Todd (Memphis)
When I was watching you guys set up for the second show I couldnt help but think about your story you shared about growing up. How tuff school was and how much life at that time was deffinitly not "the best years of your life". Now look were you are my friend. So happy for you. Those years were the same for me. once again, great video. ill shut up now lol
Always like checking out new gear, but you guys are kicking some butt in the band. Sounds better and better each time you do your vlog. Saw Willie at ACL....dude is a legend for sure (along with your video/photo bomber)
Cool mini documentary, way to carry the torch team Shull. Strike the match baby! Love the Cooder Strat, everything Ry Cooder rocks eh' ~ very cool stuff!
Wow, you are literally right around the corner from where i live. cool, pretty cool!!, I wish I would have known you guys were going to be there, i would have gone to see the show for sure!!
Well now, Opening for Willie Nelson, Designing custom guitars with Dennis Fano, Looks like Rhett has made the Big Time!! Very Cool Brother! Congratulations, Love the new Novo!!
I had that same issue with the squealing with a brand new 2022 SG! I just took the pickup cover off and it's fine now. Love the look of that Novo though!
Kelly guitars t-shirt!!!! Awesome!!! And you and the band sound great. AND very cool Ry-style. AND a great solo on the LP!! You got everything going on!
I was at that show in Bethlehem Pa the show was great i wasn't expecting to see you guys, You guys sounded great. thank you for the music. it was really cool you got to open for Willie.
I've been playing bass for close to 3 years now, I am pretty good with 85% of music that falls under rock n roll. I have a band with a few of my classmates (I'm 17) and we've played a few gigs. Playing live music is the most fun thing I have ever started doing. I haven't really had any "dreams" growing up, but the dream of living my life in music is huge. It wouldn't even matter to me what it is. Either being a performer, an engineer, or a studio assistant .Etc. I live for music, and I hope that I get to accomplish my dream someday. Rhett Shull, you are truly an inspiration to not only me, but many folks. We appreciate your content so very much. Great video, you guys are a unit on and off stage. I wish you guys the best of luck to the future.
Saw Willie a decade ago in Eugene Oregon at the outdoor Cuthbert Ampitheater and it was awesome...his harmonica player is phenomenal and I got to stand 2 ft from Willie's guitar "Trigger" ....check that off the bucketlist. Willie has a voice that cuts through. Glad to see you open for him.
Backstage my fave. Let's face it there's no shortage of instructional/gear vids, but out on the road live nitty gritty? Can only be you and at most a few others. Great stuff
Rhett, I go to school in Bethlehem! I was going to go see this concert, and was unfortunately unable to, but thanks to your video I can experience it anyways. Thanks!
Love the go big or go home comment. LOL 😂 Congratulations on opening for Willie. A lot of acts have gotten their big brake opening for Willie. It would be so cool if y’all get to play Farm Aid. Last time Willie played my home town I hollered out Viva La Barbarossa several times to him, it cracked him up. I love that cowboy movie he starred in. Great video Rhett, a lot of good content.
I just looooove all of these tracks you play with Noah. My biggest wish this year is a live album from Noah Guthrie and Good trouble on spotify. That would just be terrific!
Loving the editing on these videos. Rhett has become a real story teller.
Thanks Austin!
Awesome rendition of "Whipping Post"! Would love to see you all perform it in person one day.
Yeah. Really awesome. I just put a comment in about that before I scrolled down to this.
Great video as always Rhett! Even though we are the same age I look up to you. You also inspire me to play guitar and to continue to try and get better no matter what anyone else says. Keep going man!
You have honed your craft to a level that deserves special recognition. Great job guys!

Willie's harmonica player is the best! You guys sound great Guthrie's got some amazing pipes. Have fun on tour.
Hell yeah. He's great and always seems to be playing with someone. I see him everywhere.
Awesome! Yeah, looking forward to the full review
duuuuuuuuude. this was a very inspiring and refreshing video. the laughter and the fun and making the best of this all is so good to see. inspiring us all to play our hearts out. this is a good one

Its great to watch all these "back stage" videos, especially from someone who never quite made it 🎸🎸
Amazing video. They are always good. This was exceptional.
Performances sounded great! Loved the CCR Midnight Special
I love these road videos. Great guitar, too. Sounds crunchy and gritty. I look forward to hearing more.
You boys are hitting a stride, and I’m loving it !

Super nice new Novo! I really like the single ply pickguard.
Awesome, and congrats! Wish Willie would have invited you up to play with him 😉
Dude, y’all sound fantastic. Love then new Novo. Can’t wait to hear it with the bridge pickup sorted!
I like that the covers in your set demand the same emotional commitment (particularly from Noah) as the original pieces do.
Keep up the great work, hard work Iam sure!!
Want to more on your new Novo!
The band sound great - loving the new guitar, can really see the potential there.
Definitely want to hear more about the "secret" guitar...what wonderful tone!!! Love your touch with that slide Rhett!!
