LEARN HOW TO FIT INTERNAL GEAR CABLES BEST HACKS FROM PROFESSIONAL MECHANIC

Fitting internal gear cables can be one of the most frustrating and time consuming jobs you may have to do on your bike. This tutorial will walk you through the best way I have found in my thirty + years of dealing with this problem.
I'm here to guide you through the easiest and most successful way I have worked out fitting internal cables to modern bikes without any professional tools. I have the tools to do this, but find it much easier to use things you'll have in your workshop or can get cheaply from a local store. There are very important tips all the way through. If you follow my step by step guide most of the annoyance and frustration will be taken away. You'll be back out on your bike before you know it. There is a bonus tip in the video you'll not want to miss!
This applies to all manufacturers' gear systems regardless of whether it is a road bike or a mountain bike. Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo, fitting a new gear cable is exactly the same principal. It's even the same for a hub gear set up.
